The ambiance in this former bank building is cozy and charming. The meals are very reasonably priced. You get a lot of food! My french toast sandwich was only $8. The service is very friendly and quick.

Took 1/2 home, at unbelievable low prices .

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile so finally, 10/15/25 was the day. My friend and I…read moremade the drive from the city of Chicago to Monee, IL which was about 40 minutes. We get there and there is a cute young girl who greets us with an apron and chef's hat on. She seats us and takes our order - she was our waitress which surprised us. I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup to have before my meal. I'm glad I got a cup and not a bowl. The cup was only half full. The soup was lacking flavor so I added pepper. The woman who is GrannyMa delivered the soup. She didn't speak to us or anything the entire time while we were there which didn't feel too nice. They were sold out of the beef liver, beef shortribs and sweet potatoes. We ordered the fried chicken (menu states it takes 20-25 minutes for the chicken) and the salmon croquettes. Each dinner comes with 2 sides each so we got the macaroni and cheese, green beans, dressing and mostaccioli (slight extra charge for the mostaccioli). Fried chicken was crispy and delicious! Seasoned well. The croquettes were good also - they give you two big patties in the dinner. We weren't impressed with the green beans as you can tell they came out of a can. The dressing was only okay. The mac and cheese was pretty good but the best side was the mostaccioli - it had a layer of cheese on top and was really yummy. I wish I had gotten that as a meal, it was that good and highly recommend it. For dessert I got the peach cobbler sundae which is peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. The cobbler sauce was very thin. I like cobbler that has alot of flaky crust but this didn't have that but it still was good enough to eat the whole thing. The young girl brought us our bill. The prices are so reasonable for what you get. Our bill was only $62 with tax for all of what we had. The place is bright with warm colors inside. We conversated with the son-in-law to GrannyMa's, he was very nice and personable. Although the young girl was sweet, I felt some kind of way of her being our waitress because clearly she is underage to be working. We were told they have a Sunday brunch from 11-3 that includes a DJ. To my friend and I, the food overall was either hit or miss. One review mention about GrannyMa engaging them in conversation - she never came over to our table except to drop off the soup and she is the owner of the restaurant. Not a good way in customer service if you ask me. Overall, okay.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and found the restaurant virtually empty. There seemed to be a steady flow of takeout pickups, but there wasn't anyone dining in, so we had the entire place to ourselves. Our waitress was a young girl who was pleasant and friendly. My sister and I both had the catfish. I ordered the greens and mac & cheese while she had the dressing and greens. We both loved the mac & cheese. My sister kept stealing bites of it off my plate! Lol She enjoyed the dressing as well. Neither of us liked the greens, though. I believe they were turnips, and we prefer collards. We also didn't care for the Johnny cakes. I prefer mine a little sweeter. The catfish was good but could've had more flavor. My brother had the fried chicken, and his mom had the salmon croquettes. All three of them LOVED the croquettes! I didn't have any, but they were definitely a fan favorite! My brother loved the chicken and sweet potatoes. I had the brownie for dessert, which I didn't care for. My sister didn't like it either. It was dry and was just okay taste-wise. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Since we were the only ones dining in, it was really quiet and relaxing. We sat at one of the large tables, but there are also comfortable benches along the wall and window. The service was excellent and you can tell that the family takes pride in going the extra mile. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I'd go back.

The restaurant is huge. There is a full bar with seating. There are a couple of televisions above the bar to watch. There is also a decent-sized dining are in the bar area and a larger, separate dining area just off of the dining area. The staff there were friendly. This pub has a country, downhome feel. They serve pub style food, including steaks, burgers, salads, soups, fish, tenderloins, wings, pasta, fish and chips and meatloaf. Additionally, they have a full-service bar with signature cocktails. Be on the lookout for their daily specials. I got me a Popper Burger with a side of fries. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food, and it was very delicious. It was fresh, hot and flavorful. I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem. They have some savory drinks and delicious food.

My family was making a trip from Indianapolis to Michigan so we added this restaurant as a stop on the way back since it's conveniently located just a few minutes off of l-65. It looked small at first but there's actually two dining rooms in addition to the really long bar area. My mom of course got the obligatory breaded tenderloin since we are in Indiana. The size was perfect (the size of two sandwiches and not the size of a whole dinner plate) and thought it was delicious. My brother enjoyed and promptly wolfed down his loaded Mac and cheese. I opted for the loaded fries since they were smothered in pulled pork, beer cheese, and fresh jalapeños. The accompanying cole slaw was delicious, but very sweet. The pulled pork was super tender and delicious. It was good, but honestly the best bite I had was the tomato I stole off my mom's tenderloin. It was the freshest tomato I've had in probably years. All of the food is grown on the owner's family farm in the nearby town of Reynolds which I'm assuming is a big part of their recent recognition. It was fairly busy on a Friday around noon. There were a few groups of people in on their lunch break and a few families. They also had several online orders as well. The servers were friendly and quick.

SERVICE: 5/5 We made a reservation, but arrived early and were still seated promptly. Kristi and the other food runners were awesome at tending to us, answering our questions, and very personable. AMBIANCE: 4/5 The space tends to the darker side with a tall divider wall separating a dining space from the decently-sized bar area that also includes booths and tables for dining. They also have a large patio space to the west of the building, where they have a trailer serving beverages and live music available. Only real negative was the the door to the patio space was right next to our booth in the northwest corner of the bar area, which allowed a brisk breeze in each time it was opened. FOOD: 4/5 The Bavarian Pretzel ($13) is large and decent. It's served on an upright pretzel holder, heavily salted, and served with a beer cheese that seemed a tad runny and a spicy maple mustard that seemed more sweet than spicy. My wife ordered Blackened Fish Tacos ($17), which come as an order of 2 with cabbage and onion and a side of chips and salsa. She said the tacos were very tasty, the chips and salsa were just OK. I ordered the Blackened Fish Sandwich ($17), which was served on a hoagie-type roll with lettuce, tomato, and onions along with a pickle and side of house-made chips. The fish sandwich had good flavor, and while I appreciated that they made their chips, their flavor was just OK and I couldn't easily access many of the crumbs that scattered through the bottom of the basket. OVERALL: 4/5 Food was good to very good. For the prices charged, the value was not as good as we would have liked. *They do appear to have a happy hour Tuesday-Friday 4:00-6:00 that offers half price on the wings and pretzel as well as some beverage specials.
