This company went out of their way, given my situation, after business hours, on two separate visits, to accommodate the removal of furniture, garbage, and various items. Even further, they went out of their way to clean, sweep, and ensure the exterior of the house was clean and presentable. They also facilitated the moving of what remained into the moving truck I rented, disassembled furniture, and was more than accommodating with anything else I may have needed. Not only was this company more than accommodating, but they met my financial needs as well. I would not have been able to accomplish all that needed to be done if it weren't for them. H & R Movers AZ Review…read more Very unfortunate experience, not only the physical damages done to our appliances but the lack of customer service. It was great over the phone but a nightmare afterwards. See below for details: The service to move some appliances was requested for a Monday at 11:30am, the owner advised the charge was $200, for two man. Sunday night, he contacted us to advise that he had a change of plans and could only make it at 7am, unfortunately, we were in a rush to get those appliances and agreed to change the time last minute and cancel the plumber that was going to help out to plug in all the stainless steel appliances such as a dishwasher, refrigerator and stove. Monday comes, and the owner shows up by himself. The appliances were not even covered with any blankets. He struggles to get in the appliances by himself through the doors, and drags the refrigerator scratching it, as I call him out he said - no, i'm not. Then proceeds to complain about me calling him out. The pain of seeing things getting damaged proceeded, fortunately our handy man was able to help him get the refrigerator in. At payment, he was paid for the amount he requested and got a $20 tip. Shouldn't have happened but it did. While he wrote "No damages" on the receipt, we corrected it to state "Damages". The following week, I proceeded to contact HR Movers to attempt to file a complaint. I leave a voicemail. Days later, we receive a call from a very nice lady asking for the dolly that was left in the backyard. We then followed-up by asking her if she was also calling re the voicemail left regarding filing a complaint. She then said her phone lines were not working correctly and that she wasn't aware of any damages but that was going to contact us to follow-up. The owner then followed up by calling to threaten me that if we leave a bad review he will then let everyone know not to hire us for our business. Sadly, it took me a while to leave a review but was concerned on how he was going to react being so new in Tucson, this was a HORRIBLE experience.

We had some friends come in to help get things boxed up after a terrible experience with another moving company, who told me one thing and my husband something completely different. I decided to be proactive and look on Angie's List for reputable moving companies, and H & R was the first one that came up. Robert was incredibly nice on the phone, and I knew right away they were the company we would go with. Our movers, Shawn and Leo, are THE BOMB. We were notified yesterday they'd be a little later than originally scheduled, but that was fine. I had some last minute stuff to take care of anyway, so I certainly wasn't going to be unhappy about a couple extra hours to get stuff finished up. There was construction on my street, so unfortunately they had to park BEHIND our apartment and then move everything that way, especially since everyone and their brother were parked where the moving truck should have gone. I'm going to be totally honest, it is always REALLY hard for me to relax, particularly when I feel like I should be doing things and aren't. After a while I just got comfortable on the couch and let them take care of it. They even moved my heavy-ass armoire with (mostly) the greatest of ease. (As a good friend of ours said about the armoire the last time we moved, "eff that heavy ass thing, I am NEVER moving it again." We also have a tricky cal king bed frame that needed to be taken apart. No problem. Also found out that there were roaches (ew) nesting underneath it. When they got to our new house, we sprayed it down with Raid to make sure they weren't our welcoming committee. Overall, Leo and Shawn, plus H & R Moves You, have done an amazing job helping us during a crazy stressful time, not just for us but America in general. I cannot recommend them enough.

Between each of the sides, there are large boxes that may have stuffed animals, bottled beverages, pet supplies, and so on. The GAP Ministries takes both cash and SNAP cards. I have always found the staff to be polite and helpful. I'm truly grateful for this service.

They called and schedule a time to come out, technician comes to the door on the phone with someone else (very unprofessional). I show him the ice maker which hadn't been working properly for several months. He says "there's ice stuck in there thats why it's not working". I say I know Captain Obvious thats why I called for it to be repaired. I explained to him the issues i was having and he doesn't even look at the ice maker and says we will order a new one. It takes a week and a half with no response and I have to call them for an update. Miraculously they say the picked up the new ice maker that day. I schedule a time for them to come out and the technician installs it and says it should make ice in about 3 hours....no luck doesn't work. I leave 4 text messages to the owner with no response. I finally call him and he says he will call me back to schedule a time to come look at it. 2 days later no response so i call him and he says "he's trying but they are really busy". Still no definite time given they will come to look at it. This goes on for several more days. I finally call warranty company to complain and they put in another claim...i confirm with the owner that they got the new claim and he would call to schedule an appointment. 3 more days pass and no communication. I called warranty company again and they reach the owner and he lies to them and tells them he "texted me but i never responded". I have since transferred the claim to another contractor. This company is beyond amateur hour. Zero organization and communication skills. If you like waiting for several days to get a response for subpar work they are the number 1 company to call!

To date, the only work completed has been the installation of cabinets. No sink, dishwasher, or functional kitchen has been provided. As of January 25, 2026, my home still does not have a usable kitchen. This has created serious hardship for my household. My mother lives with me and is a disabled senior citizen who uses a walker. The unfinished kitchen leaves her with limited and unsafe space to move around, and we have been unable to properly prepare meals for months. While my family went without a kitchen for Thanksgiving and Christmas, Southwest Home Repair experienced no such hardship, despite having been paid in full. This situation has caused ongoing stress, inconvenience, and financial harm. I have contacted Southwest Home Repair numerous times. When they respond, they repeatedly state they will return "tomorrow" or "next Monday," but they never show up. They have also failed to provide any receipts, invoices, or documentation for the payment received, despite repeated requests. This project was handled as an insurance claim, and Southwest Home Repair stated the amount charged was necessary to complete all kitchen repairs. However, the work remains largely unfinished with no accountability or timeline for completion. So here we are over 2 years this place has no clear timeline of when they can finish a job. Yes I get it dishwasher, ovens and what not are easy stuff they should be good at that. But the big MAN blue collar jobs they can find people or the help to finish jobs. Lol what a joke place. Do use them without references.
