Came here for Saint Patrick's day. While I'm more of an upscale bar girl, this spot was fine. I was disappointed by their limited menu, but get that it was due to the holiday and a very common thing on 3.17! I would be interested to see what it would be like on a normal night. Service was slow, but it was packed. All staff was dressed festively and super nice! It was a good touch! They had a guitarist who was super talented and an Irish drum and bag pipe special show. I have been to Lucky's on several occasions and it was a favorite of my mom's as well over the years. It's a friendly place with a chill vibe a pretty decent menu and it's wonderful to hear live music. I especially love the outdoor patio in the summertime. read more

Awesome sports bar (you know it's good when the urinals have a TV screen). Staff was amazing; Gary was engaging and very attentive to my group of three. Solid sports bar with plenty of tv's to watch the game. I was slightly disappointed because it's called an Irish bar but doesn't have any Irish dishes on their menu. The food was good but the service was absolutely horrible. When we arrived we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, we chose inside. After being seated the waitress dropped off the food menus but not the drink menu. We ask and had it relatively quick but that was all that was quick. It took almost 30 minutes for her to come back, take our drink order and bring the drinks over. After bringing the drinks it was another 20 minutes before she came back to take our food order, we order an appetizer and a pizza, nothing extravagant or out of the ordinary. It took just about 30 minutes for the food to come out, both the appetizer and pizza at same time. It would have been nice to have the appetizer fist but it is what it is. The pizza was hot delicious but the appetizer was over cooked. The waitress never came back to check on the food or ask if we needed another drink. She seemed to be spending alot of time outside. We had finished eating, wanted another drink but were getting frustrated she had not been back to check on us. When we didn't see the waitress I walked to the bar and asked for a to go box because my waitress was no where to be found. Finally the waitress came over when she saw us putting the food in a box. At this point my wife had asked for the check. After spending quite a bit of time outside again the waitress came over and dropped the check on the table. If she would have paid any attention to us she would have seen my wife trying to hand her the credit card but she just dropped it and disappeared again. We waited 10 minutes for her to come back before my wife brought the check to the bar but was told the waitress had to cash it out. She found the waitress and handed her the check and credit card then came back to the table. We waited almost 15 more minutes before I went to the bar and asked if anyone had seen my waitress. They told me there was an issue with the credit card system, how convenient!! I told them I just wanted to pay my bill and go because the service was terrible. I got the deer in the headlights look when I told her we had been there 2 hours for a pizza and 2 beers, no one had checked on us or how the food was. I could see it taking that long if it was during a busy dinner time. We got there at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. There was maybe 10 people sitting inside between the bar and at tables. read more

Had not been here for a couple of years since they got my order wrong due to the waitress not writing it down & my wife & I dined separately because of this. Thought we'd give it another try & see if the menu had improved. When they first opened, there Irish things on the menu. Nothing changed. The waitress didn't write down 2 simple burger orders, got it wrong; sautéed mushrooms instead of onion, and "well done" was blackened and hard. Not surprised & will not return. read more

I have been here half dozen times now. Some places get worse as the time passes. Some places make steady improvements. I believe this place has made numerous small improvements enough to get bumped up to 4 stars. In order to get a 4 star, what does a place have to do? In my book, typically the food has to be great to earn that spot. So, the seasoning has improved and the freshness has also improved. The speed and the quality of service has improved or perhaps about the same. Nothing to complain about service quality. Because it was a Friday night, the place was packed and had to wait a little bit to get seated. The wall to wall 16 big screens all going at the same time can be noisy and distracting. Pleasantly surprised! The ratings so far here are so-so and so even though we live very close by and drive by all the time, we never came in. Tonight we escaped for a night out at the movies and had a couple hours to wait so we came here. They have a decent number of beers on draft and quite a few in bottles. The menu is good. We had already eaten dinner earlier so we just got the pizza pan nachos (with chili) from the starter menu, but they were great. We saw another tables's order and everything they got looked really good. The burgers looked amazing, the fish and chips looked delicious, and the fish tacos looked great too. They have TVs at every angle. Want to watch playoff football? Bruins? Celtics? They've got them all on all 4 walls of the joint. The service was very good - she came by a number of times to check on us and everything was out in a timely manner. I was a little skeptical given some of the other mediocre reviews, but we'll definitely be back!! read more

I've been going here for years....usually before Prov College hoop games. Tonight i went in for a salad...sat at the bar and a big guy with no personality waited on me. I got a salad and soda water. Salad came and i took a bite and it tasted like sand was in it. Took two more bites and it was unedible. Put the dressing cup and utensils in the plate and pushed it away. The bartender came over and took it and gave me check....i was so surprised i just paid and left ....top 3 worst service ever. I don't hold it against Lucky's but he needs some help. read more

I haven't been here in a few years. Brought the family today with a super picky child and husband. Nice to know that, not only did my child eat everything, but my husband left full and I left with about 2 more meals in leftovers. I had the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, my son built his own burger and my husband got the chili with homemade chips. We started with fried pickles. Now.... I do t like them and never have, but this place has done something amazing to them and I couldn't stop. My Husband & I have driven by this place quite a bit & finally decided to pop in to watch some Sunday Football. We popped in around Noon. The bar & table tops directly behind the bar were already full which was kind of a bummer but figured hey it's busy so that's gotta be a good thing right? We were sat at a round table in the middle of the bar which typically we would have waited for something else to open up but the game was already on so we took the seat. We were given our menus & the hostess walked off. It took a good 10 minutes for our waiter to ask us if we wanted something to drink. We ordered two Pumpkin Shipyards that tasted watered down & even a bit soapy. Shortly after getting our beers our waiter returned to take our order. We drank our beers. We sat at our table with empty beer glasses for a good 15 minutes. It wasn't until our meals came out 10 minutes later that we were asked if we wanted more beers. Our meals took 25 minutes after ordering to come out. The food unfortunately wasn't worth the wait. Overall the service, booze, and food aren't worth ever coming back. I'm never a fan of giving a bad review. The two stars are simply for our waitress whom at least kept a smile on her face the entire time. read more

I recently held a 50th birthday party here in thier Sung room, everthing was outstanding!! Bill worked with me on the menu etc.. Everthing I requested happened. I would highly recommend it. I would also give a shout out to Gia seems to be in charge of the bar----if she isn't she should be. She went above and beyond. Matt who was assigned to run the party with food,coffee. We came on a Tuesday night and met family members here as my son had arrived from Arizona to surprise us. He came to the restaurant to surprise my brother and sister and their families. We chose this place because we had been several times to watch Patriots games and the appetizers were pretty good. This was anything but good. They had limited selection in the beers that we liked and actually ran out of the beers that my sister and I were drinking before the end of the evening. It took 2 hours to get the food that we ordered. My friend sent his burger back because he had ordered it cooked medium and it came well done but looked gray and as if it had been boiled instead of grilled or fried. They brought him a second one that looked exactly the same and they had no flavor at all. My sister got a burger and her as was similar. It was gray and well cooked and the roll on the burger was hard as a rock. They brought her a second roll which was equally stale. It was a long frustrating evening as everyone wanted to celebrate but we were all starving because it was after 8 o'clock at night when we finally got food at all. We did order the potato chips that are home made with horseradish dip and those were excellent. It was just disappointing all the way around because they did not have enough staff which happens. You never know how many people are going to show up. They kept blaming things on a new system on their computer which can cause problems but it appeared that the system had been in place for over week and had not been fixed. That is way too long. They did try to compensate us by giving us a round of drinks but never completed the round. They comped us for the 2 burgers which were inedible as they should have. I can't believe I haven't reviewed here before. We love coming here for great pub food. Some of our favorites are the Buffalo Mac and Cheese and the bacon cheeseburger pizza. Things seem to have changed over the years, for some reason it hasn't been as popular. Not sure why though it's one of those dark, not terrible food places that sells beer. Our waiter this evening was friendly and gave us space but was there when we needed him. Food wasn't amazing but good comfort food. Pints were $4. Awesome price, did seem watered down? Something was light about my beer and my husband's IPA was watery tasting but hey its a good price... So not super disappointed. They also had a new 3 course dinner, they had soup or salad as an appetizer, several entrees to choose from and a dessert for $17. Great deal and we had leftovers! read more

I had been here many times for drinks with friends and I finally made it there for dinner. I had the "Pub" Burger and it was delicious as were the sweet potato fries, it was so big I took half home. (with some assistance of one of the employees who followed me with my take out box.. haha) The service was great, the waitress was attentive but not overbearing and she kept a good eye on our glasses. Service was very slow over 2 hours. Fried pickles were good and the portions was generous. The roast beef sliders were good also. It was downhill from there. The burgers were incomplete, missing ingredients. Had to ask twice for it to be fixed. Rather than take it back to make them correctly just brought the missing pieces so we could do it ourselves. We arrived here and it was not very crowded. Our order was taken in about 5 minutes or so. In about 25 minutes the waitress came over and said our food would be out any minure. 30 minutes later, and nothing. We asked when are we getting our food. "Oh well, a larger group came in before you so we had to take care of that party..blah blah blah" So someone more important came in and our order goes on hold ? It took well over and hour to get a hamburger and 2 hotdogs after ordering. Really ? It wasn't busy. No "large group" had come in. Place is small and we would have seen them. If our order is forgotten or some other mistake, own up to it. Between making us wait well over an hour and then the excuses, is enough for us never to come back. There are 100 other places to spend my money. Used to be a good place. As far as Covid, there was no waitress staffing shortage. Just very poor service. read more

This was my first time coming to luckys and came with a group of friends after we played a round of golf. The place wasn't packed for 8 on a Monday. We were seated right away and the hostess was very nice and personable. There are televisions all around the restaurant that televise all the main sporting events and if you ask they will allow you to change the channel to a game you are interested in watching. They do not have a wide selection of draft beers, but there selection for bottles is very limited. When we ordered it was on Wing Monday and the wings were 25 cents each. However, you need to buy a drink, water doesn't count, if you want ranch or blue cheese on the side it's extra, you have to buy at least ten wings, and you can only get one flavor at a time. So you can't get like five BBQ and 5 Buffalo. The wings were very small and overcooked. We also ordered burgers and I ordered the "ChuckWagon" burger. The burgers come with a side of fries, chips, or a side salad or you can get sweet potato fries or onion rings for a $1.75 more. I asked for the burger to be medium rare, and it was prepared medium. Also the fries I received were very soggy, and not very good. The burger itself wasn't anything to boast about, I wouldn't recommend getting it if you are looking for a burger with a lot of flavor and a good patty. The burger is rather big, and is very filling. Also, The house chips were crispy and were served with a horseradish sauce that complemented the chips well. I would get these if you are looking for an appetizer to share amongst a large group of people. The service we had at Lucky's was terrible. The waitress messed up our orders and would never return to see if we needed refills or anything else. It was very hard to get her attention when we were trying to simply get a bottle of ketchup. The food itself took almost an hour and my friends and I were getting frustrated with the long wait. Also when we got the check we specifically asked for separate checks and she still only brought us one check for the whole table. Then when we asked to do the check separately she refused. We were looking for somewhere with great bar food and beers and it offered exactly what we wanted. The food wasn't great, but the prices were fair and the sports bar theme works very well for them. I will probably come back again in the near future, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a place to eat. read more

My family and I dined at Lucky's on a Sunday night. We sat down inside and it wasn't busy inside. We ordered our drinks and waited 25 minutes for a water, glass of wine and beer. We then waited another 35 minutes for our food. The food was excellent, the service was awful. I don't mind waiting for food, but 25 minutes for a water and 2 drinks is ridiculous. Water should be given to every customer regardless as soon as they sit. read more

At first glance, this looks like a dive bar. Once you walk in, you're floored with the beautiful decor with rich, dark woods. I've only sat at the bar, but I can say based on the few times I've been, this place is great. There's a pretty decent craft beer selection, draft and in the cooler. The food is pretty tasty -- French onion soup was very good. My favorite part of my visits was actually the bartender. Alicia is fantastic and seemed to befriend us from the start. It was so hot and soggy that it tasted like the worst burrito i've ever had. My clients recommended that I try this place while I was in town. They said it didn't look like much from the outside but it was worth going in. They were so right! I think I found my new favorite place when I'm in Rhode Island! I ordered a chopped salad with grilled chicken. I think this was about the best grilled chicken I have had. The salad was massive and everything was very fresh and full of flavor, you could tell they use high-quality food. The on tap listing was very impressive as well. I like to try different beers when I am out and the listing they had was sweet. I sat at the bar and there were two bartenders working... The place was fairly full but not packed, but it was a Tuesday night so I didn't expect it to be jammed with people. Both were very friendly and made sure all of my needs were met. We live close by so have come to Lucky's many times over the years. But, as a few others have commented, the service has become really terrible. Today I talked my husband into going for lunch. It was not crowded. But it took probably 20 minutes for us to get a drink and over an hour to get our lunch. The food is fine--standard pub food--but when it takes an hour for them to prepare a simple order, it's just unreasonable. We were about to just leave when the food finally showed up. Our server was very nice and apologetic and said they were short-staffed in the kitchen. I assume they are also short-staffed in the bar. That's understandable, but they ought to give people a heads-up that this will not be a quick lunch. I think we are done with Lucky's. They have no respect for their customers or they would not go on like this and pretend there's not a problem. read more
