Got a cupcake surprise for .y daughter a d German chocolate for myself. Moist yet dense and great flavor. Both cupcakes were a 10/10. The service was outstanding. So nice. Great little bakery inside and yiu can watch them making cakes! Definitely reccomend. They also do birthday cakes!

Take out | Other | $20-30 I have brought from this place several times through the years!!! I established a tradition with my kids, when they were little. I found this place, and for all but 2 times the cookies were delicious, cooked to perfection. But unfortunately once last year at this time, and again yesterday. The cookie was not cooked all the way through. Raw cookie dough........it is always on my daughter Alexis birthday too. The ones I got in November where amazing last year. Any way the lady was very nasty on the phone, rude........and would not give me a refund or a credit!!! Unbelievable!!!???? Seriously this is bad business!!! And was very rude......she told me they cook the cookie the same way all the time. I said no you dont we have gotten many from you, absolutely delicious!!! She said take your business elsewhere!!! I was blown away. Have brought dozens of cupcakes here as well. Always delicious!! So beware.........NOTHING SWEET ABOUT THIS CAKERY as far as service I'd give her a zero!!! Really really badddd!!!

We came in looking for 3 dozen cupcakes in 2 weeks. We sampled the lemon, red velvet, and peanut butter. One of the owners helped us personally and ran through their whole menu. They were nice enough to let us taste them in the store even though they're not really set up for dine-in. We got the special treatment despite being first time customers with a small order. We really liked all of the ones we tried and bought a German chocolate one for later. The peanut butter frosting was amazing, would definitely buy that if it wasn't for our small wedding. The cream cheese frosting on the red velvet was out of this world. The lemon cake was dense and rich. Since we were ordering in advance, they slowed us to mix and match frosting with cake flavors and offered to color the butter cream frosting for us. They were happy to customize for our needs. The price per large cupcake was very reasonable. They have a cold case with drinks. Super friendly owners, great product, and fair prices, if it were just easier to find, it would be perfect. Yelp/Google directions sent us around the back side of the block where there was very little parking. Worth the trip in any case.

Who doesn't love cupcakes?!?! Just the right balance of density, sugar and all over goodness. We had been going going going all day and those cupcakes were very much needed (it really wasn't a "want" at that moment, but a necessity LOL). The ladies in the shop were delightful. I always run in and out of that area and today I just stopped when I saw someone coming out of the door with what seemed to be pastries...let the dessert frenzy begin! Try them for yourself. The German chocolate is my next cupcake. The banana cream was good. Enjoy!

If you have a sweet tooth craving this little gem of a bakery is the ticket. The two lovely cake artists that run this business are amazing. My favorites are birthday cake, peanut butter cup and red velvet cupcakes. Pictured are the chocolate overload, carrot cake, German chocolate and of course peanut butter cupcakes we picked up today. The flavors are very rich and you can tell by the weight they are going to be filling. In addition to being delicious they always look amazing.

    You must try!!

LBP's bakers make the sublime goods that I recall from back then. Their crust is crunchy/chewy and their bread is substantial, yet cloud-like. Miches, baguettes, epis, loaves, rolls, croissants, & special flavors; all are highest quality bread. And their cake & pastries? Sainte vache! They have fluffy cream puffs, creamy eclairs, yummy cookies, flavorful pies, and more. And don't get me started on their cupcakes, which are moist and tender and even better when they're Cosmic. There is something indescribably delicious about the apple and cherry Crisps. *Chef's Kiss* The staff at La Baguette Parisienne is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They are also incredibly kind. On my last visit, I managed to take an epic fall (really more of a clumsy crumple) that included pushing a rolling counter across part of the store. My middle name is "Grace". The owner, Kim, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (nor could the customers there at the time, so I guess kindness attracts kindness). She helped me to get up and was gracious regarding my minor rearrangement of her shop and cheerful enough that I went from embarrassment to laughter in record time. My late beloved Mama found this lovely, cute bake shop decades ago when they first opened, and she was a delighted weekly customer whenever she was at her east-side Tucson home. I hope to carry on her tradition, if less frequently from my UA-area home, until my time on the planet is done (bury me with a plain large Miche, a Cherry Crisp, and a Cosmic Cupcake, please). Highly recommend!

You really wouldn't see this place driving down Wilmot because it's tucked behind two businesses, with 4 fifteen minutes parking spots designated for the shop. It's a small little pie shop and all pies are six inch mini pies for $7.99. Many are topped with pipped whipped cream unless you order a double crust fruit pie or quiche. I think I've sampled every pie. The size is perfect to split with someone. No drinks or other things are available here, but one can purchase drinks down the way at Beyond Bread. The staff are always getting customers rung up and out quick. Because the space is so small you go in the entrance, order your pies and then go out an exit door. There's no room for meandering or window shopping. You just wait your turn to look and order right away and I rung up the whole space is quite small nonetheless it's fun to go there and get a little treat now and again. And today was one of those days. My mom and I parked while my sister was checking out Bookmans. We picked out a pie to share, went to the patio to eat it, and it was good.

Back in my old home in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island we had an artisanal bread bakery too. (Calmed Seven Stars, they have grown in the 15 or so years they've been around, now offering pastries, coffees, & with several different locations. Barrio Bread is staying truer to the original vision - great breads, bagels, just stop in to shop, & take it away.) My husband & I were headed toward N Country Club Rd early Saturday morning so thought we'd stop in & see what Barrio Bread's space was like. 15 minutes after opening we were already 7 patrons from entering the store! The line moved quickly enough, enough though we could see customers being individually greeted and served with friendly & warm attention rather than impatience. When we made it to the front of the line, it was the founder/original baker Don Guerra himself staffing the register. What a nice person! I mentioned where we'd come from (and Seven Stars), and Don stepped away from the register to call over Matt, one of the current bakers. Matr's a graduate of Johnson & Wales University (whose world-class culinary program is in Little Rhody) who met Don when he came to JWU to teach a master class in bread. Matt also baked at Seven Stars for several years before moving out to Tucson! Small world. I'd say this encounter was a little taste of (old) home - but Barrio Bread is more beautiful to look at and more varied than what I'd have available back in RI. And that sourdough is the best I've ever had! Too bad I left my phone in the car so no pictures - at least at this visit.

Good news was there was no line, and only like 4 people in the shop. Bad news was they didn't have too many breads left. I went with a seeded Cuban bread and a seeded Epi bread. Total was about $10.00 for both breads. How were they? AMAZING! I can see why the owner is a James Beard Award Winner. He was the guy who rang me up, too! Super nice guy, knew some folks in front of us and seemed like a Stalwart in the community! Good stuff! The bread was so good! I ate the Cuban loaf toasted with just some butter. The sesame seeds, the slight sourdough tang, great crunch outside and soft inside. Great bread! The seeded Epi bread we pulled apart and snacked on during our drive back home. Again, crusty and seeded outside, soft chewy inside. If their "end of the day" bread is this good, I cant imagine how good their regular selections and specialty breads are. I will have to preorder sometime or spend the night in Tucson and stand in line right when they open to sample more of their delicious offerings! Absolutely delicious breads! Will be back, for sure!
