Small on the inside when there is a rush, but both seating and bar seats were available. In the summer, try to snag an outside table under the shady tree! We opted for chocolate croissants - perfectly flaky, and chai spice morning bun - full of flavor with cinnamon/sugar notes. For drinks, we enjoyed an iced chai latte and cappuccino. The bread and baked goods here are genuinely excellent, that part deserves real credit. Unfortunately, everything around the product falls short. As someone who lives in the building, I deal with the fallout of this place daily. Their customers routinely park in the building's private spaces, and despite repeated notice to staff, nothing changes, it happens like clockwork, every day, with zero enforcement or communication to customers about it. When asked kindly to park somewhere else, customers either ignore the request or make a fuss about it. The atmosphere inside isn't much better. I've witnessed staff gossiping and being unkind to customers, which doesn't match the "friendly neighborhood bakery" image they seem to be going for. There's a real lack of professional boundaries here, staff seem to blur the line between doing their job and their personal lives, and it shows. And at $16 for a turkey sandwich, the price doesn't match the experience at all. Great baked goods, but the customer experience, community impact, and pricing all need serious work. read more

The cutest and classiest local bakery without being in the heart of downtown! I've wanted to try them since they opened, and the coffee drinks and pastries did not disappoint. We tried the almond croissant- very rich, and the best croissant we've tried in the US!; the rye chocolate chip cookie which was delicious; and the handpie (our favorite and a go-to here); and quiche- also very rich and hearty. Delightful bakery and coffee shop... been here several times and there has been nothing that I wouldn't order again ( the only reason I may not order it again is because they have a changing menu and I can't help but want to try it all! Their espresso drinks are delicious and they have a seasonal drink menu. They charge about $5.00 a pastry and $7.00 ish for a slice of cake....my check came to about $27.00 with a fair tip. The last time i tried to go in July they were closed for summer break. Today, when i got there at 1:30 pm, purchased the last cheddar scone on display, blueberry pastry, a plum almond cupcake looking thing and plum coffee cake. The pastry base and filling of the blueberry tart were tasty, but it was a problematic construction...when i bit into it, blueberries tumbled out of it, leaving half of them on the sidwalk outside of Home. The perfect amount of chai flavor coming through the sugared exterior. A must have! Ham and Cheese Croissant; The lamination of their croissants is unbelievable. Perfectly crunchy buttery layers that fall all over if you're not paying attention. The perfect ratio of hame and cheese with a beautiful kick from stone ground mustard. A huge hit at our breakfast. The Sourdough Focaccia is lofty with a nice spring back. The sourdough flavor is solid, but the chimichurri through this focaccia over the top. If I read the menu correctly, this is only available on Sunday. There were other flavors but am glad I chose this one. My daughter ate the rye brownie but I have not received feedback from her yet. It was thick and fudgey. The remaining items were delicious and did not last long at home,but the above items were stand outs. They reminded me of a high end bake shop with a casual local vibe. This new little bakery is such a gem! Lots of natural light with all the windows. It was pretty busy when I was there. The service was super quick and friendly. Although they were out of pastries (it was late in the day) , i thoroughly enjoyed my seasonal iced latte and my mother appreciated that they took the time to brew a fresh hot coffee for her. The food and coffee looked amazing. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to purchase anything because my form of payment was denied. My total came to $68 and some change. I attempted to pay with a $100 bill, which they refused to accept. There was no signage indicating that large bills were not accepted or discouraged. The bakery was delightful, both inside and out, and appeared to be very clean! I noticed they offered focaccia sandwiches, so I decided to give one a try. It featured squash, goat cheese, arugula, and Serrano pepper. The staff member at the counter warned me that the sandwich would be spicy due to the peppers, and as a fan of spicy foods--especially jalapeño, Serrano, and cayenne in my own cooking--I was excited. Initially, I didn't detect much heat, but as I reached the center of the sandwich, where the raw green and red Serrano slices, seeds, and veins were, the spice became overwhelming. I'm no pepper connoisseur, but I believe these peppers rank high on the spice scale, and depending on their origin, they can be excessively hot! I made the beginner's error of removing the pepper slices and then touching my nose and face. While I loved the other components of the sandwich, the Serrano made it nearly inedible. I also ordered an oat matcha, but I probably should have opted for something with real dairy to balance out the heat! read more

I requested my wife via text to stop by a bakery and grab me something when coming back from the farmers market. She did a search and took a chance on this bakery. She brought me a chocolate croissant and a lemon/blueberry bun. All I have to say is WOW! This is so good. The croissant was slightly warm and flakey with gooey chocolate inside. The bun was soft and had a great balance of lemon and blueberry. She also grabbed a loaf of sourdough bread which I am looking forward to eating. I am a fan. We will be back!
