Service was great. Coffee was delicious. Only tried one pastry today, but will definitely back to try more! Cardamom iced latte and honey lavender iced lattes were so yummy and made with house made syrups! We tried the Apricot almond pastry (the folks behind us were devastated we took the last one) and it had a soft, tangy apricot filling, and crunchy almond slices. Small on the inside when there is a rush, but both seating and bar seats were available. In the summer, try to snag an outside table under the shady tree! I visited on a Saturday morning. The iced latte was great, with organic whole milk (what I use at home). But the star of the visit was the chai spice morning bun. It had just enough chai spice to flavor the bun but not overpower it. I will definitely bring my wife here next time! read more

The cutest and classiest local bakery without being in the heart of downtown! I've wanted to try them since they opened, and the coffee drinks and pastries did not disappoint. We tried the almond croissant- very rich, and the best croissant we've tried in the US!; the rye chocolate chip cookie which was delicious; and the handpie (our favorite and a go-to here); and quiche- also very rich and hearty. its a cute, tiny space with street parking and odd ish hours in a dubious part of town. They charge about $5.00 a pastry and $7.00 ish for a slice of cake....my check came to about $27.00 with a fair tip. The last time i tried to go in July they were closed for summer break. As a business, it feels and delivers like a passion project. Today, when i got there at 1:30 pm, purchased the last cheddar scone on display, blueberry pastry, a plum almond cupcake looking thing and plum coffee cake. Ate the blueberry pastry, and tried to eat the cupcake. The pastry base and filling of the blueberry tart were tasty, but it was a problematic construction...when i bit into it, blueberries tumbled out of it, leaving half of them on the sidwalk outside of Home. Delightful bakery and coffee shop... been here several times and there has been nothing that I wouldn't order again ( the only reason I may not order it again is because they have a changing menu and I can't help but want to try it all! Their espresso drinks are delicious and they have a seasonal drink menu. They sell bread, offer a CSA and during the holidays offer stellar holiday menu options ( I've ordered quiche there a few times and everyone enjoys it). Not a lot of seating indoors or outdoors and parking can be a bit tricky... but all worth it. I absolutely love Rosebud Bakery! They have such a variety of items that vary seasonally as well as by type of baked good -- muffins, scones, breads, pie. The service I've received has always been great no matter who is working at the counter. I'm one of those people who asks a lot of questions about what is in things, and I've only ever been met with kindness and willingness to share those with me, which is not always the case. There is seating inside as well as outside, and since I like to linger in a place that's a big plus for me. Chai Morning Bun; I love me a morning bun because it is the best of a croissant and a cinnamon roll. The crunch factor and buttery goodness was strong and the tender center melts in your mouth. The perfect amount of chai flavor coming through the sugared exterior. A must have! Ham and Cheese Croissant; The lamination of their croissants is unbelievable. Perfectly crunchy buttery layers that fall all over if you're not paying attention. The perfect ratio of hame and cheese with a beautiful kick from stone ground mustard. A huge hit at our breakfast. The Sourdough Focaccia is lofty with a nice spring back. The sourdough flavor is solid, but the chimichurri through this focaccia over the top. If I read the menu correctly, this is only available on Sunday. There were other flavors but am glad I chose this one. My daughter ate the rye brownie but I have not received feedback from her yet. It was thick and fudgey. The remaining items were delicious and did not last long at home,but the above items were stand outs. They reminded me of a high end bake shop with a casual local vibe. I love coming here. The pastries are so delicious, especially the cinnamons that are only served on Sundays. The vanilla latte is my favorite here because it's a pretty big size and tastes amazing. This new little bakery is such a gem! Lots of natural light with all the windows. It was pretty busy when I was there. The service was super quick and friendly. They did a great job explaining what ingredients were in some pastries I asked about. I ordered the plum frangipane brioche bun, a sourdough loaf and a sea salt chocolate chip cookie. I ordered the iced latte and added homemade cinnamon peloncillo syrup which came out to $5.50. I had the peach hand pie which is a small pie that fits in your hand. It was very good. My first bite was flaky and not too sweet - which I love! Parking on the side and front of the building. They also have bike racks and walking distance for many. read more

Although they were out of pastries (it was late in the day) , i thoroughly enjoyed my seasonal iced latte and my mother appreciated that they took the time to brew a fresh hot coffee for her. The food and coffee looked amazing. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to purchase anything because my form of payment was denied. My total came to $68 and some change. I attempted to pay with a $100 bill, which they refused to accept. There was no signage indicating that large bills were not accepted or discouraged. The bakery was delightful, both inside and out, and appeared to be very clean! I noticed they offered focaccia sandwiches, so I decided to give one a try. It featured squash, goat cheese, arugula, and Serrano pepper. The staff member at the counter warned me that the sandwich would be spicy due to the peppers, and as a fan of spicy foods--especially jalapeño, Serrano, and cayenne in my own cooking--I was excited. Initially, I didn't detect much heat, but as I reached the center of the sandwich, where the raw green and red Serrano slices, seeds, and veins were, the spice became overwhelming. I'm no pepper connoisseur, but I believe these peppers rank high on the spice scale, and depending on their origin, they can be excessively hot! I made the beginner's error of removing the pepper slices and then touching my nose and face. While I loved the other components of the sandwich, the Serrano made it nearly inedible. I also ordered an oat matcha, but I probably should have opted for something with real dairy to balance out the heat! read more

I requested my wife via text to stop by a bakery and grab me something when coming back from the farmers market. She did a search and took a chance on this bakery. She brought me a chocolate croissant and a lemon/blueberry bun. All I have to say is WOW! This is so good. The croissant was slightly warm and flakey with gooey chocolate inside. The bun was soft and had a great balance of lemon and blueberry. She also grabbed a loaf of sourdough bread which I am looking forward to eating. I am a fan. We will be back!
