On today's episode of Chicken Wars, we have Ouri's. They have a few locations, but I went to the one on the Upper East Side. A whole chicken ran $25.99 which made me want to swallow a cactus. I felt like I took a baseball bat to the liver or got hit by a spinning back elbow from jon jones. Nonetheless, I'm here to find the best tissi, regardless of price. As much as I wanted to hate it due to the price point, this chicken went CRAZY. Tender breast, great leg, elite skin. My only critique is that there wasn't a lot of flavor in the meat itself, but it was still operating at a high level. I scored it 8.5/10, which ranks it tied for 5th with Wegmans out of 30 grocery stores I have currently tried. You could get 2.6 Wegmans chickens for this price, but that's neither here nor there. I will never be back because I'm never paying $25.99 for a chicken outside of Chicken Wars, but it was a great bird I can't even lie. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

It was my first time in here today. Now maybe I came on an off day but when I walked in and went my produce it was kinda messy with boxes on the floor and shopping carts filled with product that looked like it was about to be put on the shelf. This is an all kosher supermarket which is cool and a good addition to the area. All the produce looked fresh. They have interesting selection of products, pre-packaged foods and other products. I saw they had a Hot dog wrapped in waffle for 22.00. I saw on some other reviews how the prices were crazy here. I did not buy anything but a decafe Iced latte which was $5.55. I swear I thought it was going to be like a 8.00 drink. The barista was nice. Before you even walk into this store there are carts outside with rolls of plastic bags for produce attached to tje cart. Cool idea but that is alot of carts and alot of rolls of plastic bags. Aren't we trying to use less plastic?! If I am in the area maybe I will come back but not rushing to go back.

There's a new supermarket Ouri's just opened on E67th and 3rd Ave. It's a big space. They sell fruits, meats, vegetables, canned goods, prepared packaged meals like salad, packed cookies and chocolates. They also have fresh pastries at the front. A lot of items don't have prices listed on them yet. They're still stacking the shelves. It looks so new and clean. They are kosher. They close at 4pm on Fridays and are closed all day on Saturdays for Sabbath. Opens at 8am Sun-Fri.

The girls that take the bagel orders are complete morons. Everytime they forget or don't listen to the order.

She went above & beyond as I attempted to shop with my then 8 month old & my 6-year-old who had just came from the dentist & was under sedation. She saw me struggle as my daughter was dizzy from the sedation medicine, and she assisted me through the entire store and opened her register to ring me up. She was so understanding to a single mom just trying to navigate shopping after my 6-year-old had a major procedure done. I know to other people this may look like something so small but to me it meant the world & I fight back tears as I write this. THANK YOU SO MUCH LEANA WITH LUV & Appreciate. Oh, and to touch on the food there we know Trader Joe's is one of the best places to choose food in New York City since we're in a food desert so I'm glad Trader Joe's is around.!!

A few staple items were also out of stock, which was a bit disappointing for a regular grocery run. That said, the produce section was excellent--really fresh and well stocked, probably the highlight of the store. I'll be coming here more often while my usual UWS location is under renovation since it's still convenient for me, especially given it used to be my old neighborhood. It's not a bad store at all, just a very different energy, and it'll take a bit of getting used to.

We have developed a congenial friendship which was founded on La Fermière yogurts. Emre knows that I price shop so invariably I know when the time is right to buy these delicious yogurts at Eden. I often buy Siggi yogurts as here they are $1.99 each. The ladies - Dolores, Affou, Mamata, Savita, Tofu - at the checkout are friendly, kind and remember customers. A few speak French which I practice with them. Being originally Greek, the Dolmas in the prepared food section, are plump and particularly tasty. It's worth buying a few to take home. Adam looks taciturn but always is kind to me. He is behind the deli counter preparing sandwiches and always gives me a quarter pound of the Jambon de Paris. Miguel and Medina are also here. A loyalty card is worth having and once having accumulated many points I paid the princely sum of $1.61 for a pretty bouquet of roses in assorted colors that cost $11.99. Now that's a steal! Eden Gourmet is the sister supermarket to my beloved sadly closed Eden Gourmet of 14th street. This too is packed to the brim with fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, dairy, chicken and meats. A large variety of sparkling waters, frozen entrees, ice creams and assorted temptations are here too. A small bakery has cakes and pastries available. I pop in often to get milk or to see what's new and always to say hello to everyone. I always feel happy coming to Eden Gourmet Marketplace!

You'll get all the usual grocery store sections, including fresh produce and a deli counter in the back. There isn't a ton of variety, with maybe two or three options for most items. But those options are consistently high quality. Whoever is stocking the shelves has good taste! The setup for paying is a bit weird, they've got a long counter up front in lieu of the usual registers with lanes. It can make lines a bit confusing during busier times, but not a dealbreaker by any means.
