Small little breakfast/lunch spot in the Upper East side. They have a bunch of different options here. This isn't your typical spot with limited options. It has plenty of options and everything seems to be made with care and quality. They have breakfast items, sandwiches, pastries, cupcakes, etc so a lot to choose from. It looks like they change up the menu often too which is encouraging and allows you to try different things. You can also be in and out pretty quickly if you are in a rush. We went during the lunch rush and were in and out smoothly. FYI, there isn't much of a sign on the outside so if you aren't looking for it you may walk by. The prices may shock you a little bit but the food is pretty good. $3.75 for a piece of cornbread seems steep. What is it made of?!? A reminder is that you are in the Upper East side so it is kind of expected. They do make everything fresh so maybe you pay for the extra labor. Who cares?!? Good food is good food! Come check it out!

Noticed this place while walking by recently and decided to stop in for brunch. There is no obvious sign so you kind of have to know that its there! There are a variety of yummy treats to choose from, we tried the chocolate chip loaf and it was pretty good! They had a bunch of pre-made foods which all looked good and fresh as well. The prices are really for what you get, I really enjoyed my BLT which came with a side Cole slaw and arugula salad thing, and it definitely filled me up! Its a cute clean spot near the park to stop for breakfast/brunch/a sweet treat. My only real complaint is that the staff was a bit standoffish. There are no drinks listed on the menu and when I asked if they had coffee they answered yes as though I was stupid for asking. They also gave us the end piece of the chocolate chip loaf we ordered, which was considerably smaller than the other pieces in the display. I will likely be back as the food was good and well priced, hopefully the staff is better next time.

I must say for an on the fly pick, this cafe/take out shop Yura is pretty awesome. There is a massive amount of people that come in and out at breakfast and lunch, so be prepared for a line. They have the usual breakfast and lunch items with some great speciality foods. On this day we ordered a BEC on a roll it was hot and fresh with gruyere cheese oozing out. It was on a soft seeded roll. It was a great egg sandwich. We also got the Belgian waffles. They were good but def not as good as the sandwich! Also, coffee is decent. (292)

Yura is great! If you live in the neighborhood you'll quickly become addicted. Nice cafe atmosphere to sit at snack time. High ceilings give the old bakery feel to the atmosphere. Employees are always helpful when I come in. They have prepared foods as well. Lots of items to take to work if you're on the go. I've never been disappointed. They've been in business a long time. They know how to get it right!!

I usually pick up salad and pastries during my weekly walks. It is not cheap and the service could be better, but I will tell you that the food here is seriously delicious. The salads are fresh and the dressings flavorful, the pastries are to die for. Farmcake muffins, angelfood cake, rice crispy treats are standouts.

Interior 5/5, very clean Service 5/5, incredibly friendly, and welcoming! I ordered the scrambled eggs on an everything bagel with havarti cheese and bacon. It was made to order, and fulfilled my bagel craving for the day. I also had an iced coffee with soy, that was incredibly bold (just how I like it)! Great customer service from all, especially from staff member Adrienne and one of the managers, Michael. What a great start to my New York vacation!

The Mango and Pistachio looked so realistic and mirrored the flavors perfectly. I love the size of their cakes which are perfect to share with a group of 4. I indulged in their Black Sesame Mochi Cake and Blueberry Chiffon Cake which both have the fluffiest sponge cake base, a fluffy vibrant cream, and fresh ingredients and fruit. Give their drinks a try too. I enjoy their matcha here! The Traffic Lights is a strawberry matcha with a mango cream top. And I also tried their Black Sesame Latte but substituted the espresso for matcha and loved this customized pairing. FYI, there is no bathroom!

Finally decided to try this place after walking by it for years. I refused to try this in the past,…read morebecause I didn't like how many items they put on display. It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be back for more cookies. This was such a wonderful find, and I'm so happy my coworker introduced me to this place!
