I am working…read moreon opening our new Scottsdale office and was put in charge of choosing furniture and getting estimates for the items that we will need for our space. This is foreign territory to me and I couldn't be happier that Jerome was the person who happened upon me that hot, incredibly hot, day in August when I showed up at your warehouse. Jerome was fantastic! He showed me where I could find everything I was looking for (new, used, chairs, desks, etc.) and then walked me through several different options. He let me know the difference in comfort, durability, variances and price on several items. When I couldn't decide between a couple items, he would let me know which one was a more popular option which helped me decide. He was kind enough to give me small wood samples so I could match up (what will be our new furniture) with some existing furniture we had/have on hand as well as share with my execs. He gave me other very useful tools to help choose additional furniture for once we decided on our final office space. Jerome's communication skills were excellent, he was professional, courteous, patient, organized, and amazingly skilled and knowledgeable in the products and inventory. When we were going over the selected items, he always gave me the other variations that came with that item and always confirmed that he understood what I was requesting. Jerome was also quick to respond when I would email him with requests, changes, final price quotes and, with your help, some discounts, which ultimately won over my execs. Not only was he quick to respond, but he answered all of my questions in my email, which seems to be such a rarity these days. He informed when the items will be available, which items may not be, how he can loan us some items if need be and so much more! I also sent him a picture of a workspace I wanted to have created and he got that estimate to me faster than I anticipated. I rarely write reviews, but feel compelled to do so based on the extraordinary service by Jerome and the wonderful experience I've had with Jerry's Office Furniture. I congratulate you for having an employee as skilled and dedicated to extraordinary customer service as Jerome. As our office fills out, I will be contacting Jerome for the additional items we will undoubtedly need and I will continue to highly recommend him as well as your company.

Once he understood what I was looking for he started pulling options out for me. I ended up getting a high quality commercial chair for a dorm chair price. It was very gently used if not new. This place is huge. It's well lit and very clean. The furniture can be dusty, but they thoroughly clean and polish it before loading it up for you. If you're looking for anything in the office furniture realm (including recycle bins) I would make this your first stop.

I went to the back of the store where the customer is supposed to pick up a paper slip for the hard drive desired but alas, no paper slips in the one I wanted. So I go to the check-out and wait for the clerk to check out the two people in front of me and then I say that I want these two hard drives. Naturally, she knows nothing so she shouts out into the store, "Hey, Joe." Joe doesn't respond. The clerk tells me he's with another customer. So I wait. She checks out the guy behind me and he also cannot find what he needs. After five minutes, I lose patience and leave. It's frustrating because I know they have what I want; I just cannot get to it without a long wait. My suggestions: 1) maintain a sufficient supply of paper slips with the hard drives. 2) hire enough staff to handle customers. I will go elsewhere to buy the hard drives.

I would think that employees would be more customer service oriented and appreciative of having a job at a brick-and-mortar location or any job at any location............and just appreciative that they have a job at all. I am in Glendale AZ and was at the Office Max location below: Office Max Store #6171 Store #6171 7974 WEST BELL ROAD GLENDALE, AZ 85308 (623) 486-2444 3:30 p.m. Mountain time on Wed, 4/9/2025. My husband and I came into the store to see if this location had a TSA Pre-check service (as some locations have discontinued that service). I asked the cashier (did not get her name) and she said they did have that service, but I had to make an appt. I asked if we could make that appt and she said "you have to make it on line, you cannot make it in person", I looked away at my husband and then she said..........do you want to know how to make it online? It wasn't "Well we cannot make it in person as you have to fill out an application online to reserve your spot" (giving me an explanation of why as that would have been nice to know details) The issue I had was the curtness and her attitude as if I was interrupting her when there was no one in the store). I was quite shocked...........to say the least. The attitude was not at all warranted nor was it provoked. I literally just looked at my husband (who was standing behind me away from the cashier) what happened to "Customer Service" There was literally no one in the store at all except 4 employees that I see up at the front of the store. Her attitude was one of......that I was interrupting her and pretty much made us feel like we were bothering her. I came home and called another location near me in Peoria, AZ and I was met with (on the phone) a very nice and giving employee that explained to me why I couldn't make an appt. over the phone or just coming in. Now that is an employee that is going places but the lady at the location above should not be in a customer service position. I did make an appt at the Store #6758 25340 N LAKE PLEASANT PARKWAY PEORIA, AZ 85383 (623) 376-2320 I believe that employee's name was Abigale that helped me on the phone and will go to Office Max again but Never to the location on Bell RD as this is not the 1st time that location has not been a place that I feel comfortable at (not welcoming AT ALL). The 1st time was awhile ago and didnt really think it would happen again but since it did, twice at the same location says alot for either the Management that employ's and trains and/or management themselves for not making sure "checking in" to make sure their employees represent the brand in a Welcome environment. I am sure that is what they get paid for, right?

There are also packing services and FedEx and USPS shipping services offered. Other services include shredding services, tech services, ink and toner recycling (for a credit!), and applying for TSA PreCheck. This store offers free store pick-up (ready in 15 minutes) and free same-day print services printed (if ordered by 2 PM). The store hours are weekdays from 9 AM to 8 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. Salt Creek Furniture in Glendale was my first stop and after visiting many other stores, I returned and furnished my ENTIRE house with Salt Creek. I agree with some of the other comments, that communication may not have been the best, however, I expected delays due to everything being shut down or delayed in 2020-2021. When the furniture arrived, it was beautiful and very well made. The delivery and set up was excellent. Fast forward to September 2024 and I had my primary bedroom painted. The painters cracked the storage footboard of my bed while moving it. I contacted customer service (Michael and Aaron) and ordered a replacement footboard. It took two weeks to come in and was delivered and installed as promised. Once again, the two delivery and installation guys were very polite, neat, and professional. If you are looking for quality furniture, I highly recommend Salt Creek Furniture. You just need to be patient with delivery, as quality takes time.

But, here I am, almost a month later , and I've had to make the phone calls. No one has reached out to as to why my order is taking so long. All I do is get excuses that "the manufacture hasn't called me back." Well, that's not my problem. They need to start reaching out to their customers and giving a heads up, or apologizing for things taking so long. I'm a reasonable person and understand the delays with manufacturing.
