Shrimp was delicious but I was really uncomfortable with the short fat white lady with a long ponytail who reeked of cigarettes. Instead of waiting on our tables she sat outside most of the time smoking and when she did finally manage to get back inside instead of doing her job she marched to the front desk and started complaining in front of us. Before finally getting back to our table a family walked in and she scoffed at the hostess and said something about not wanting to serve black people. Overall just a horrifying experience, upsetting because I love the atmosphere and having gone before most of the staff was extremely sweet so this was really disappointing. I was dining by myself so I sat at the bar. The service was good; got the feeling they were still a little understaffed but nevertheless , I received excellent service. I mean it was up to par with a few other very expensive steaks we have eaten in the past, but only for $26.99! He ordered a 22 oz. Bone-in Ribeye and made sure our server understood the importance of how to cook it just right, so that it was full of flavor, but still tender. Not only did they deliver, but we're talking MELT IN YOUR MOUTH good kinda flavor. I got the filet & lobster and was very satisfied with my order as well. My family and I went to Outback tonight to dine. We requested outdoor seating because we have an at risk child, who's only have vaccinated. We thought we'd done our research and found a place with outdoor seating, but when we got there, we were told outdoor seating wasn't available. The reason given was because there wasn't a server working that section. I myself who has waited tables before, almost 10 years while in school, know that it's not uncommon to have someone work out of "their normal section". We ordered a to go meal from the Outback Steakhouse on Whiskey Road in Aiken, South Carolina on December 12th. In our to go order, we requested silverware, which we did not get. We also requested honey butter for the bread, which we did not receive. We requested extra tomato and cheese on the salad, and only received one half of a small cherry tomato in the salad and barely any cheese. Also, we ordered a medium rare steak, which was cooked more towards the medium to medium well side, both of which you can see in the photos I am posting. I would not recommend ordering to go food from this location, because they obviously do not come through with the correct order. Had I eaten in the restaurant, I could have had these things fixed. However, basic request such as extra tomatoes and cheese on a salad and a medium rare steak, should be easy to fulfill whether the customer is eating inside the restaurant or getting a to-go meal. I was not satisfied with this purchase, and I will not order to go food from this location again. Very sad, because I really like Outback Steakhouse. read more

Well I eat here a Outback at lease once a week and today the have a new soup it's call creamy French onion. They combined French onion with their potato soup. DO NOT GET IT. It is way too salty and the mixture of the two soup just dose not mixed well. Also the bake potato way cold in the middle. You have to send it back a couple of times to get it heated right. Tyiesha is probably the worst waitress that I ever had. She was less than pleasant taking our order. The order was incorrect and as I was telling her, she simply walked away and never came back. Had to grab another waitress later on to get a drink refill. Someone else brought our check over and dropped it on the table and left. No one ever asked how it was, or probably cared. Tyiesha did not have a problem joking with some of the other customers that she probably knew. The closest she came to me after she dropped our order and walked away was when she almost dropped a tray of someone else's food on my head. There are a lot of people looking for jobs right now that would be much, much better than her. Horrible experience all the way around. Never again. read more

I'm giving a one star because it's not an option to give ZERO stars. I drove an hour with a friend to go to Aiken today (1/30/2021) and have a meal and shop. We stopped in and waited patiently for a seat despite there being several clean booths available. No biggie. We finally get seated and menus are presented to us by Tyiesha. We greeted her with smiles and a hello. No smile returned. No greeting to speak of. We place our orders and wait. The young man that brought our bloomin onion out was wonderful. He was the only bright spot of the entire meal. Tyiesha was surly, and rude the entire time. My friend had her water glass slammed down on the table several times. It was clear to us that "Ty" did not want to serve us, and by us, I mean us in particular. She was quite pleasant to the other patrons and sadly, the only conclusion we could reach for why she was so rude was maybe the lack of melanin in our skin. My friend was in the middle of making a request when "Ty" just up and walked away. We had to beg for plates, salt, A1 and more. At one point, our server nearly smacked my friend in the back of the head with the serving tray! There was no "is there anything else you need" or "would you like dessert?" or any niceties whatsoever. The service was seriously THE worst I have ever experienced. It's not like we were rude or made unreasonable requests. I was going to place a take out order of prime rib for my husband, but Ty refused to spend more than 2 seconds at our table, so I did not have the opportunity to request a take out order. I always tip generously... usually about 30%. Today's experience was so awful that on the receipt where it noted space for a tip, I simply wrote "be nicer." Had she simply been remotely pleasant at all, it would have most likely been a $20 on a $60 tab. So, we will not be dining at Outback Steakhouse after today. It's quite clear that we are not welcome at Outback and I can spend my money at places were I (and my friends) will be welcomed and our patronage is valued. From the appetizer sampler platter to the seared sirloin each endeavor was simply excellent. The steak was very tender and cooked perfect. Who needs a desert when you order a baked sweet potato. I eat most of my dinners via takeout and Outback is one of my favorites. Tonight I had the BEST MEAL EVER! My Victoria's filet was like butter! Seasoned and prepared beautifully, it melted in my mouth I usually get steamed broccoli as one of my sides but this evening, it was green beans. They were excellent! A little drizzle of butter and I THINK, a touch of lemon was a delightful change. And who can go wrong with a baked sweet potato with ALL the top pings? The servers who work in the takeout area are always "Johnny on the Spot" so very little waiting. How can you go wrong with great food and warm, smiling service? Thanks again Outback! Disappointed. Took my 97 year old mother to Outback so she could have her Baby Back ribs. Waitress (very good) took drink and appetizer order (petals). I also ordered ribs; wife ordered chicken dish. Waitress came back and said no ribs today (this was about 1:30 pm on Saturday). So mom ordered same chicken dish as wife; I ordered steak quesadilla. Manager came around a few minutes later...apologized about ribs and said they were also out of steak for the quesadilla. Asked if we could try something else and stated she would cover the appetizer (she did). I ordered a rib eye. Service was good and my mom enjoyed her dish. My rib eye was cooked properly, but a lot of fat for a $25.00 steak. Bottom line things were ok but not what I was expecting from Outback. read more

I would like to tell you about some of the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever had. I came to visit some friends this weekend in Aiken and my Love wanted to try Outback so we went in. We were greeted by the host with a 45 minute wait but we decided to stay. Once we were texted with a confirmation we arrived at the host desk to be seated immediately. We were greeted by our beautiful waitress Joy. The entire meal she made sure that we had EVERYTHING that we needed with a smile. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we were satisfied with our visit. The food was delicious. The blooming onion was definitely my favorite. She sent us home with To Go drinks and sauce. We didn't have to ask because she came through in every way. Unknowingly we left our form of payment behind once we departed. We didn't notice until we made it to our next destination. We went back and Joy was right there with our card. She let us know that she tried to chase us out but was glad we came back! I don't complain. I have never written a complaint on yelp but could not resist this time. I have eaten here before and had good service and good food. This evening let me know that I won't be back. The wife and I were immediately seated as there were not many people at the restaurant when we arrived. Three other couples arrived after us and were waited on immediately. We were not even approached for our drink order. As we were starting to leave we were finally reached out to by another server (Summer) who asked if we had been waited on. She stated that the server working that area was really busy and apologized for her. I didn't tell her that there was only had one other couple in her section when we sat down. We then ordered a bloomin' onion. When it arrived it was actually dripping with grease. The bottom layers were soggy from the grease. I made the comment to the wife that they must have a new cook as we've never had anything happen like that at any Outback. We then ordered the prime rib, the wife ordered hers medium well and I ordered mine medium with sides of a salad. When the salads arrived I began mixing mine before putting the thousand Island dressing on it and there was already thousand island dressing inside the bowl on the bottom. I didn't think about it at first and then began to think that maybe someone had ordered a salad and something was wrong after getting it and sent it back where it may have been just turned upside down into another bowl. I didn't eat it. When the steaks arrived the wife's was very rare and mine was extremely rare. I told the wife I was going to send them back and she told me it was okay and not to worry about it. Neither of us ate even half our steaks. We did take them with us, further cooked them when we got home, and they were great. The Augusta Outback is about the same distance from our home as the Aiken store so I will eat there next time. read more

We went to the Outback in Aiken last night. It was the worst I've ever had. Although the food was ok, the service was absolutely terrible. After we got seated and looked at the menus we waited. And waited. And waited. Still no server. I finally asked the busboy who our server was and he went to get them. We ordered drinks and our food as she was there. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Then she comes out and said they are out of prime rib so I had to get something else. She left a menu but never came back (still no drinks or salad). Some random guy walking by suddenly stopped at my table and asked if I decided on something else. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Our server just happened to be walking by and saw we had No drinks and ran to get them and then one excuse after another each time she showed up at our table. She was accused of stealing a credit card that was left on the table then said she was cussed out for being out of prime rib and then it was her first day back after having knee surgery. We finally get our salads and food all at the same time and never saw our server again until she brought us the check. OUTBACK, please have a manager walk the floor checking on your server's service. This was the worst experience I've ever had at this Outback and the place was practically empty. I stopped going to the Augusta Outback because of the long wait times but I always got good service there. If I ever do go back to the Aiken location, I'll make sure I don't have that server. read more

Worst trip ever! Dirty tables in the bar. Only one table was clean enough to sit at and didn't get cleaned for at least 30 minutes after we arrived. They took it back to fix and came out with a 6 oz steak instead of a 8 oz so they took it back again which took even longer. My husband took me, my 4 children and their 2 spouses out for my Mother's day celebration. I told my family the last time I had been to Outback in Aiken which was several months ago with a friend we were told they were out of mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, and sweet potatoes. Well after we were seated and ready to order we were told "we are out of mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, and sweet potatoes" SO THIS IS 2 TIMES IN A ROW. After we finished our meal my family went outside to wait while I went to the rest room. As I am walking to the restroom I notice at least 5 tables with baked potatoes and mashed potatoes. Why is that one area of the restaurant has the choice of potatoes but not the other side? I know these patrons had to have arrived close to when we arrived so it doesn't make sense. read more
