    Blackened salmon and grits

A great downtown gem. The lemon pepper wings are crispy and full of flavor, and the blackened salmon over grits is a standout far beyond typical pub fare

Visited for lunch on a Tuesday and sat in the alley. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our lunch order did take about 45 minutes or so to arrive but that's expected with a brand new restaurant. I was able to observe several entrees come out and they all look delicious. Chef Paige is the best in the business! Great atmosphere in the alley!

Top: chicken salad sandwich with side of fried onion rings Bottom: pimento sandwich, add turkey, bacon, fried green tomatoes, and onions.

Opened in March. Very good food. The workers are very nice. Everything went well and I would eat here again. The atmosphere is very nice in here as well and lighting.

The service was great. The food was tasty. We started out with a FGT Caprese salad - Fried Green Tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, spinach and a balsamic glaze. Tim had a Steakhouse Burger and I had the Blackened Salmon with goat cheese grits and asparagus. The burger was unique but tasty. The salmon was done just right. The grits were a bit clumpy but were tasty as well. Nice atmosphere. The upgrades to the place made it a great experience.

We enjoy a great dinner experience. The wait was short to get a table. We sat outside. The staff were friendly. Place was packed so we did wait for our food longer than expected. But the waitress was really upfront about it and just kept checking on us. We ordered the Wonton Nachos which were delicious! Flavorful, crunchy, and covered with soo many goodies. It could be a meal on its own. Accompanied by that I ordered the Blackberry Key Lime Dream. I feel for $13 dollars I could have received a bigger glass but you could taste each layer of alcohol and it meshed all so well together. It was on the sweeter side. For my entrée, I tried the special chicken tacos. They were so good! I wish they were on the menu permanently. The little chicken nuggets and sauce together, we're just a yes! My husband ordered the smash burger. Which was massive and not really a smash burger, but he said it was really delicious. Just beware messy af. Very enjoyable tho! Would go again!

Horrible food. Ordered Mac and cheese short rib. Very dry. Very disappointed. Also ordered salmon and grits. Salmon was acceptable but grits omg terrible.

Poorly executed smash burger and mediocre service when I went at 7pm on a Thursday - and it wasn't busy at all. Many better options.

Dawn was an excellent server and pointed us in all of the right directions for our night out in Aiken, SC. Get the polenta fries and Brussels! The menu was a bit different than the one online but it was BETTER! We are so glad we stopped in and will certainly be back and will send all of our friends who take a turn visiting the area for The Masters Tournament.

My husband ordered the brisket grilled cheese, which was absolutely delicious, and I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were phenomenal at first. Unfortunately, a few bites in, I found a black hair in my food. Our server did apologize and immediately took the dish back to be remade, which I appreciated. However, I was honestly too grossed out to want to eat it again, and I wasn't given any option--whether to remake it or have it removed from the bill. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. No manager came over to apologize, and nothing was comped or discounted on the bill. It was clear the staff was aware of the situation, as several employees came out and repeatedly stared at us, which made us feel uncomfortable. I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how they're handled that matters. With better service recovery, this could have been a completely different experience. As it stands, it left a bad impression. I would consider giving them another chance, but only if situations like this are handled more professionally in the future.

We started off with the scallops and spinach cheese dip which were good, nothing special. We also ordered the charcuterie board which was a HUGE disappointment. It was $45 and had a few cheap store bought crackers, 8 blueberries and some salami and cheese, really confused at why the price was so high for only a few low grade options... there were 4 of us and barely enough for each of us to have one cracker. This is where everything went downhill from here. For entrees our table ordered the short rib, chicken piccata, and elk. The short rib was tender but lacked flavor. The forbidden black rice was flavorless mush, couldn't even eat it. The chicken piccata was watery and soup like. The pasta had no flavor and the chicken was soggy from sitting in the pasta water. The elk was ok, but the barley pine nut whip was flavorless, it needed mashed potatoes to go with the meat. The waitress asked if we liked our meals and we told her that we did not. That's where the conversation ended. Apparently management doesn't care how the food is coming out? Not sure but we spent over $300 and will definitely not be back. I'm glad we tried it before we brought out of town guests here. If you like flavorless food then this is your spot.
