Not to mention in a popular place at the gaffney outlets? do you not serve a lot of people regularly? we arrived about 5:45 & were told about a 40 minute wait. & after about an 1 HOUR and 45 MINUTES and PLENTY of empty tables, we overheard that the kitchen was backed up. The hostess team packed in all the parties they could telling customers it'd be about 1 hour and 45 min. She Never came round ask how our Dinners were. Two of our steaks were way over cooked and tough. All the steaks were spicy, like spicy Hot. She never came to take our salad bowls once we were done, she just left them our table as we ate. She never took any dishes off the table the entire time and saw other tables the same way. Saw the waitress on her cell phone at least twice. She never came by our table we had to flag her down to order a to go item (soup). When we brought it home it tasted bad. We had to wait about 1/2 hour for the soup and another 10 min for the check. There was another waitress yelling at an elderly couple that were eating there. The waitress really made a seen. They but chairs up on the table while we were eating and it was not even close to closing time. This was the worst outback we ever ate at. When you know the bill be over $100 before you sit down you expect de ent service. I had to ask 3x for silverware, never received a napkin, I ate my salad with my fingers and my drink was wrong. Didn't get my ranch or my silverware, had to pour my own sauce on the volcano shrimp because otherwise it was just popcorn shrimp ‍ paid $8 for the smallest slice of cheesecake ever and didn't get any raspberry sauce with it, the coconut shrimp was 95% coconut breading and 5% shrimp. Friday evening treat to me after shopping! I sashay to the bar anticipating a delightful meal and I was not disappointed! First off the bartender was personable and when i stated I would like a margarita she recommend the house margarita! I chose the house margarita made with Sauza tequila and an extra shot. Happiness in a glass! For my meal I had the ribeye steak medium rare, string beans and house salad. Ample portions of string beans, scrumptious flavor. My steak was prepared perfectly, tender juicy and so flavorful! Salads can be drab or pleasantly fresh, with a variety. This one contained cherry tomatoes, cucumber red onion and iceberg lettuce with the house dressing! The manager stopped to enquire how my meal was and if everything was satisfactory. I gladly reported that I was very content with everything I ordered! I've been to this particular Outback on several reasons, one its location is convenient and two, I've never been dissatisfied with service or my chosen meal or drinks! read more

After a long day of shopping in the outlets I decided to stop by outback for a steak with my boyfriend the atmosphere was quiet it wasn't busy at all I arrived about 9pm . Outback is pretty much the only restaurant in the area that was open after 9pm in which everything else was closed so hey why not .. We ordered two bone in Ribeye steaks medium with creamy spinach and a sweet potato 3 sides of Garlic butter sautéed onions and mushrooms . A sweet tea and a Shirley temple and Also medium flavor wings for an appetizer . To start off I'm giving this particular establishment a 3 because apparently someone forgot to heat up the creamy spinach and it literally wasn't cooked . The sweet potato's were amazing very sweet and soft . Both steaks came medium rare in which we had to basically take all the food back to get it right . The Shirley temple came as a sprite . Our appetizer came with the dinners . The 3 side steak toppings never came . In addition we sat waiting for a corrected meal for over an hour in which we waited for our food for an hour to start off . The service wasn't terrible due to having such a nice server but it was a disappointing dinner . The establishment lacks unified organization and little to no following of direction . read more

Went on a Monday. No wait. I wouldn't call it busy since they had chairs on top of tables with an entire side of the restaurant closed down. We put our orders in and didn't see our server again until our food came out an HOUR LATER. (She could have apologized for the long wait or just give us an update on our food.. or refill our drink... ) Our food had to have been sitting there for quite some time because it was all like warm. Mind you, we ordered one steak medium rare and chicken tenders.... $17 chicken tender lmao. There was hardly any chicken... mostly just breading... the Mac n cheese was soupy and a $3 upcharge... we ended up taking a couple of bites and asking for boxes to take it to go because we weren't planning on being there so long. Asked for some more tea and she acted like we were asking for them to remake our cold food which we honestly should have for paying all of that. You expect a much better experience when you're paying those prices for Mediocre food that you could get anywhere. read more

Updated Review: Outback contacted me and sent a gift card. We decided to dine in instead of carry out. To-go will never have it together here, ever. They get +2 stars because our waitress, Kennedy, was so awesome. Other than her, I wasn't impressed. I have given this place so many chance they have struck out twice! Never, ever again will I return to this location! If you are assigned to work the to-go window/area then that is your job and your job alone. My order is never right, ever! Not even a whole cup of butter to split between baked potato and bread (pictures included) Minuscule serving of salad. On my last visit they had forgotten my ranch and I caught it before making it home, after walking in it seemed as if I had inconvenienced the girl working when I asked her to get me a ranch that never made it to the bag. We called at 2:30 pm for call ahead seating. we were to arrive at 3:30pm. We got there and I checked in at 3:15pm but was told we wouldn't be seated until 4:30. there was no line and only one other four top waiting. As peop who already ate were leaving they shared their experienc, and it wasn't good. we usually love to eat at outback however it seems this management is not very capable of keeping it together. I have been visiting Outback in Gaffney, SC for 15 plus years. During these years service has seen its ups and downs. We have not visited for months due to poor experiences.. We have recently chosen to only to sit at the bar when Tiffany was working because of her amazing personalized service. She remembers us and my gluten free substitutes. And even going as far as to remember our family stories! Tonight Tiff was not working. We sat at a booth and were absolutely amazed at the service provided by Robert Broadwater. From the moment he introduced himself, it felt as if we met a friend. Even with a slight wait on items for dinner, he ensured us he was taking care of our dinner! We come down to South Carolina almost every weekend and this is our go to spot since we stay at the hotel nearby. My boyfriend races down at the track so this one time we were in such a rush. However, the staff was so accommodating to us!! Even during this pandemic, the staff were on point, friendly, calm and attentive. My family will not be returning to the Gaffney location. After giving this location multiple chances, we have finally given up. Poor service, long waits, dirty tables with dishes piled up, cold food, etc. We literally sat next to a table that was piled high with dirty dishes (looked to be several tables worth) and even added our own dishes to the table because our waitress never came to pick up our appetizer dishes after our entrees arrived. I ordered potato soup and it was cold. I don't mean lukewarm, I mean came from the fridge to the table kind of cold. Not exaggerating. I'm not one to publicly complain, but I've never had worse service in my life. We got there at 6:30 (on a Wednesday, so not even a weekend), and we were asked for a name and told it would be a minute. Then 10 minutes later we were told our table was being cleaned off. There were about 17 empty tables. At 7:05, 35 minutes later we finally were seated. Then our waitress comes over and told us she needed that table AND ASKED US TO MOVE. Okay, fine, it was a slight mess up. At 7:10, our waitress walks by and said she'd be right with us, then waits on 3 tables, walks by again and says she'll be right over after she prints a receipt for another table. She then comes back and finally gets us water by 7:20. We had been sitting there for 15 minutes before we even got WATER. THEN, we finally order and get our food at 8:00. An hour and a half after we got there and there were still multiple tables empty. It was by no means packed. So, everything comes out and my husband is missing his fries (so legit he only has a burger on a plate) and I am missing my asparagus. So we then wait for that to come out. Then we get the check and she didn't leave a pen (I guess she didn't want a tip?) so we have to hunt down a busboy who then goes looking for a pen all so we can give a waitress a tip she probably didn't deserve. I can see why this place isn't rated well. The service was fine and our cocktails were good. But they were out of most of apps we tried to order. We settled for a steak quesadilla and grilled shrimp. The meat on the quesadilla was anemic to put it kindly with a strange flavor and the shrimp was borderline cooked. We sent the quesadilla back it was inedible. I don't understand the poor food.
