Like Mario had stated, this place has an online ordering system via their website that they no longer use, but it can still charge you and take orders. Then you go in person and they say you have to contact Square, which they tell you to dispute the charge with your bank. Waste of time! This cafe has an app option to order food. However, they discontinue this app and is still operational and taking orders online. When we got to the restaurant they related to us that the app was no longer in service. But it did take the order and the worst it deducted the money from my card. I've been a few times to get the Bing su and I've loved it. Today I went and bought two and it's not the same. The last few times I ordered it, it came with mini Mochis and vanilla ice cream. This time it didn't come with mini mochis and the guy was trying to give me strawberry ice cream instead of vanilla. When I called him to complain about it being inconsistent the guy kept trying to give me excuses telling me I need to ask for it to be added. How am I supposed to know to ask for it if every other it came with it without me having to ask for it? Definitely won't be back here. Poor customer service. read more

We arrived around 8:30pm and it said they were open until 9pm. There was a group of 5 seated and there was 3 other parties of 2. Seats were far enough from one another. We waited in line to figure out what to drink. I went for the classic green tea milk tea with light boba and my friend went for milk tea with light boba as well. Considering it was later in the evening, the barista looked concerned that his boba was running a bit low. We were okay bc we didn't care for too much boba. However more people started to arrive and soon there was a line behind us with 3 other parties of 2. Not sure how he ended up handling the low boba inventory situation but we ordered Togo and left. I don't know what it was like before the new management took over, but my experience tonight was great. I had a high expectation on the red bean bingsoo ($6.38, as of 12/30/2014), but I was slightly disappointed and felt the bingsoo in Java & Mug was better. However, their coffee made up the deficiencies. The young man who was in charge of the cafe was also a good barista. We had the green latte and raspberry mocha. They were delicious and artistic. We enjoyed them a lot. The entire atmosphere was relaxing, with the 2014 pop music playing in the background (except the TLC's "no scrubs" came up from nowhere...that's ok since I'm a super fan of TLC). There were quite many patrons in the house on a chilly Chicago night. Hubby and I had a great time hanging out as well. Stopped here for some Boba and to hangout with a couple of friends. This place is awesome- atmosphere and drinks! I got the milk tea & taro boba. It was absolutely delicious with tons of Boba with in it. The service was quick and it was pretty inexpensive compared to other places downtown. The atmosphere was very calm. Allow me to warn you, I absolutely cosher cafes with board games and Asian sweets and treats! This place is irresistible. The wait staff was especially friendly and welcoming as they immediately greeted us when we entered the cafe. My friend and I ordered a red bean bingsoo and green tea latte to go with our intense game of Scrabble. Neither of them were disappointing. In fact, it's one of the better lattes that I've ever had. It wasn't watered down and the foam was just right. They don't have a website or online menu, so I took a few snapshots of it. I have came to many times before in the night to just sit back and read a book but to also do some homework from time to time during major exam weeks. I have enjoyed the strawberry smoothie, the only things I have not tried yet is the food. You can come to this spot for studying, to relax or just to play some games with friends. (games are missing some pieces and need an update on those) When I go I usually we call the number on the jenga. I had a white chocolate mocha latte hot with no whip and found it to be fine, but my friend's Thai Iced Tea was overly sugary. It turns out that they're actually pretty similar - with all the fruits being the same, except the red bean doesn't have bananas, while the fruit one does. Both were delicious! My only complaint is that they were fairly small portions, considering each one was almost $7 after tax. But still, I would definitely come back... I guess I'm just willing to pay so much because good patbingsoo is rare in the Chicago area. It came topped with strawberry ice cream and mochi along with fresh fruit including strawberries, kiwi, peaches, mandarin oranges, cherry, etc and topped with condensed milk. Outdoor Cafe also offers sandwiches and a large variety of coffee drinks in addition to their desserts. The owners are visible, incredibly friendly and hospitable. "Let's get Bing Soo for dessert!" "What the heck is Bing Soo?" "Are you crazy? You've never tried it?!" "........Bing what???" "Forget it, we're going!" In Chicago, even in the depths of winter, we still like to eat out ice creams, desserts and other cold things that shouldn't be eaten when the wind chill drops below 0°F! After spending dinner burning meat on flaming red hot coals at San Soo Gab San, we were still a bit hungry and decided to jump off to the other side of the temperature spectrum and needed some late night dessert. I am not a dessert junkie and do not indulge in my sweets and sugars as much as I should but have no qualms about diving into some serious dessert after a delightful meal. Getting twice the rush of flavors piggybacking on a terrific dinner = BONUS. We get to this cafe that I never previously knew existed despite having spent many a night at Hollywood bar right across the street. I was in disbelief that I had been across the bar across the street so many times and never looked across the street to see there was a dessert cafe right across the street! "Everyone Asian person has been to Outdoor Cafe," my cousin told me. "Well, I must be Asian, I've never ever been here before!" I said. As we walked in, there were about half a dozen people huddled around an intense game of Jenga. Another few people were quietly relaxing in the corner and we found seats and sat ourselves down while a lady was working on free wi-fi right behind us. COZY! That was the first word that popped into my mind when I first looked around to survey the environment. I was sitting on a very cushy chair while my cousin sat on a big comfy couch. Yeah, there was some outdoor patio furniture spread out throughout the cafe, but the other couches looked just as comfortable and I had enough space to sit and relax with conversations with my cousins. After looking through their various coffees, ice creams, paninis, and Bing Soo, my eyes focused on their vanilla and chocolate gelato combo with a hard chocolate shell, whipped cream and strawberry: DONE. Our desserts arrived quickly and my cousins were flashing some amazing Bing Soo and Tiramisu while I took a crack at my gelato: YUM! We all exchanged bites of our desserts and I earned a new perspective on sweets. Why hadn't anyone told me about this Bing Soo?! It really is an amazing fruity shaved ice and ice cream combo where texture meets flavor merged into a new dessert treat causing neural tranmissions of pure pleasure.
