The iced Rose Latte with Milk Mochi, Sago and no sugar!!!! Absolutely amazing. I feel like this drink was personally made for me. I love it. No other drink and snack shop makes this unique drink and the only problem I have is the fact it doesn't have an option to make it LARGE. My heart is absolutely happy. Ever since this place got new management it has improved immensely!!! The cool owner is super friendly and I think that's what makes this place stand out amongst all the cute drink and snack shops in Argyle. I love this location and so does my son and his cousins. Firstly, shoutout to the staff. There was two of them and they handled a dinner rush like pros. When we got there and ordered there were only a couple of people ordering and by the time I had gotten out of the bathroom the lobby was full. Secondly, the decor of the place is pretty cool. Great Wall design, mini arcade, very instagrammable. In terms of drinks - we liked them a lot. I had the Lovebirds Tea with Coffee and Tapioca and that tasted pretty good, and I love coffee so that was good for me. Has many teas to choose from. There's milk teas, as well as some non dairy milks to use as a substitute. A good place for an Asian business. It's among the many of these along this street. The inside isn't that big but has more than enough tables. A lot here to get. It's about $6 for a latte. Last time I got the Soy Milk Black Tea Latte. It was pretty good without being overly sugary and helped me to get cool. The rest of the menu features teas with the cheese foam that's on top. Post completion of my run nearby, I discovered Uni Uni Bubble Tea Uptown - Chicago after a quick search of restaurants with 'Smoothies' via yelp. Uni Uni Uptown just happened to be ranked number eight within a radius of the area I was in, and not too far off from my route which made it very acceptable to choose. I ordered their large strawberry smoothie with cloud cream online via yelp after briskly scrolling through the menu. Ordering online via the yelp application was very convenient because by the time I arrived to pick up my drink, it was ready behind the counter upon my arrival. Uni Uni Uptown itself sits within what is referred to as Chicago's second Chinatown, West Argyle Street Historic District amongst a plethora of businesses and restaurants. During this visit, I was fortunate enough to find a parking spot as I entered the area which was pay by the plate. If you are not fortunate as I was, keep in mind that there is neighborhood parking, as well as parking off some of the side streets of W Argyle St. I just could not resist taking a sip of my strawberry smoothie after getting inside of my vehicle. Mmm, it was so good! Eeek! Brain freeze! Ya'll! And on top of being charmed out of my panties after my first sip, these taste buds of mine were surged with that cold delicious strawberry smoothie flavor that I love and desired. Since I am now familiar with Uni Uni Bubble Tea Uptown - Chicago, I would gladly order from again, which would more than likely be in the same fashion post completion of a run nearby. And besides, it allows me to once again visit the West Argyle Street Historic District. This place of origin was founded right in the heart of Chicago with a selection of actual fruit yet blended with different mixtures such as honey, foam cheese. Boba and much more. There are many selections on the drink menu. I requested to get the yogurt strawberry crystal boboa which has honey filled boba. It was very delicious and they put actual real strawberries inside. I don't recommend anyone lactose tolerant tho to try the yogurt drinks because it is heavy on dairy but they have other options such as fresh blended juices as well. Not only do they have drinks but they have a light menu as well where you can order chicken popcorn, homemade Taiwanese sausage, takoyaki, chicken nuggets and crispy fried squid. I've tried Uni Uni from Chinatown so I was excited to its opening in Uptown. I've only had milk tea but wanted to venture out today. I ordered 4 drinks online. When I arrived, only 2 drinks were ready for pick up, and they thought it was my complete order, until I showed my online order receipt. I had to wait while they make my 2 new drinks. I understand they've only been open for a little while. We ordered 2 Mango Jasmin green tea with cheese foam. These were also the 2 drinks that wasn't made when I have arrived. We didn't like it at all. What I did like, was the mango yogurt with crystal boba. It's on the expensive side- whopping $6.55 for a large, but it was quite fulfilling and I liked the taste. Strawberry smoothie with cloud cream was ok. I did have to call prior to ordering to ask about allergen info and he was pretty direct. For awhile, my phone call didn't go through so I am guessing store was busy, which is a good sign! I'll be back, and hopefully to earn 1 more star from me! read more

I ordered the regular signature milk tea, light ice, little sugar, with bubbles. It was good, but it was not worth $6.33 at all. When you order at the machine, there is a credit card fee and it just makes your drink so much more expensive. Pay cash if you can! Maybe cause they're new, but the workers didn't acknowledge me when I entered, they didnt ask me if I needed any help, and they didn't update me on my drink status. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting for my drink and watched them occasionally glance at me while making mobile order drinks. It was not until I asked them how much longer I'd have to wait did they tell me it would be another 5 minutes for the bubbles to cook. I was the only customer in the store too. My drink was good! The flavor of the tea and milk blended well, and the bubbles were perfectly chewy. It's just that I would not pay almost $6.50 for that size and for a plain milk tea. I would probably go back occasionally to try the more unique drinks, but I think I'd choose Kung Fu tea around the corner because it just seems more worth it for the type of milk teas I go for. read more

I have to give this place 3 stars because the service is consistently and painfully slow. Fortunately, there are always customers in side, but even if there are 2 people ahead of you, you could be waiting for over 15 minutes for your bubble tea. In an area where there are 3 additional bubble tea places within 3 minutes of walking, Uni Uni is going to need to step it up or lose out to the competition that has been here far longer. When we walked in, the staff didn't greet us, and we were like pick up for Shirley please. He looked up and went to look at the orders, didn't say a word and went back to doing his thing. Shortly later, another guy comes out from the kitchen with boxes of popcorn chicken, and they communicated amongst each other, and we assumed it was our's since we ordered 2 boxes of it (an order each per person), and 2 drinks. There was no one else in line at the time besides us, and we spent almost $30 for them to not appreciate the business, and then the popcorn chicken had obvious pieces that were of bad quality -- it tasted plasticky. The spicy seasoning is definitely on point but not really evenly distributed. I've had better popcorn chicken where it was crispy throughout and all great cuts and quality of chicken and the spices are evenly distributed. The drinks were good, and everything was accurate and efficient. If you want them to greet you or have basic customer service, this ain't it. If you're here for the drinks, this is it. If you don't mind the quality of the chicken going down here and there, this is also it. It's not bad, but come see for yourself maybe it's my luck of the draw. Checked this place out since I was on my way to do groceries in argyle. They took over the old Bingo Tea location (cries). However this place is worth checking out! Due to covid, there's only takeout. I asked the workers what'd they recommend since it was my first time. The workers are limited in English but were still helpful. So far I've tried the ancient brown sugar milk tea with boba and pudding. I think the flavor is pretty solid. More milky than tea flavor though. I don't know about the other flavors, but the menu seems pretty unique and interesting. The tapioca seemed pretty chewy but it was hard to drink out of the boba straw lol. My only remark is it is pretty pricey. I did order a medium drink too. Definitely check it out for yourself! Support a local (boba) business too. read more

I've been to both Uni Uni establishments multiple times prior when the lines were out the door and I orders and my drink was made and ready within 5 minutes and that's being generous. We asked for their signature Uni Uni milk tea drink. Either way it go it was off for me. I knew I wasn't the only one thinking this thought when the women after me made eye contact as to say wtf is taking so long? Another reason they get 3 stars and that's being nice is because I was originally told that Uni Uni does not do non dairy milk tea beverages. I inquired once more before ordering because I go to so many bubble tea places that I didn't want to confuse it with another establishment. The guy literally pointed to an entire section of the menu and said these are non dairy. I was like bet. Say less. I asked what Assam was and if it was black tea. Homie said nah. I'm like uhhh ok. I really wanted to love this place (my friend really likes the Chinatown location), but I didn't have the best experience here. My friend and I came in on a Saturday night around 8:45pm after dinner in the area. A group of people had just left, and we were the only people in the shop. I was reading the menu and looking for a caffeine free option, since it was already late and I didn't want to be up all night. After a just few minutes of looking at the menu, the staff started pressuring us to order because they were about to close. I asked them to recommend me a caffeine free drink, and they recommended a jasmine tea. I trusted them and went with it and asked for boba in my tea as well...or so I thought. To my disappointment, my drink came out without any boba :( I didn't bother asking about it since I could tell they were hurrying to close up ASAP. To make things worse, turns out the drink they recommended DID have caffeine...I was up late that night :( On the bright side though, the tea was delicious and the place and products are all super cute. I loved the boba straw decor they had for the holidays! I might give this Uni Uni location another chance and come back earlier in the day.
