I stumbled upon Absolutely Outer Banks a handful of years ago and I was impressed with the selection of locally made arts and crafts. Ever since, this is my go to spot for legitimate and tasteful Outer Banks souvenirs. In addition to locally made items they also have some vintage items and even some new items for sale. One item that this store specializes in is really cool resin windows that are unique and exude happiness. Absolutely Outer Banks has artwork in all mediums and in all price points. They have jewelry, wood signs, candles, prints, glass work, textiles, metal work, etc.  On my most recent visit I enjoyed looking at a vintage pin ball machine and eyeing up the beautiful array of Fiestaware. There is plenty of opportunity for ooohhhing and ahhhing.  The owner is super friendly so that adds to the overall great experience. Here, enjoy this gift" Well upon wandering with my boyfriend's mom (An OBX local) she recommended we wander into Urban Cottage. She knows my love for home furnishings and high end pieces and figured this would be my thing. And it totally was. Some of the most gorgeous pieces I have come across and they all were so whimsical and effortless. Such a great store. Their candle stick holders and chandeliers were to die for. If i had some extra chump change, I would definitely make some hefty purchases here. I was impressed with their large selection of outdoor furniture. They carry several brands of weather-tolerant and salt air friendly furniture in addition to Polywood. With their expansive showroom I was able to see the most popular pieces in person, get a color sample and even a brochure. The staff was helpful with my questions and very welcoming. Before I even made it to the outdoor section I was wowed with the large indoor furniture selection. The store had many lovely vignettes complete with fun linens and lovely artwork. Most of the furniture has a beachy or nautical theme. The store was definitely comfortable and inspiring. Daniels' Homeport is also know for their rental cottage furnishing services. They can put complete packages together for rental homes and they even sell stuff to fully stock a kitchen.

I have visited all of the locations including most recently, the Duck store. Like the flagship store in Jarvisburg and the other locations, the Duck location is a multi-level maze of little rooms full of fun stuff. When I was a kid I remember The Cotton Gin having lots of boring cotton stuff - bedspreads, runners, placemats, towels and such. As an adult, I appreciate all of the nice quality cotton products they carry and I love shopping the other merchandise they carry. The Cotton Gin carries a fun variety of stuff from clothing, housewares, ornaments, home decor, souvenirs, jewelry and such. Its rare that I leave empty handed and even my husband likes shopping here! When I visit the Duck store in April the employee working was super friendly and welcoming which I really appreciated!
