Folks always compliment my husbands fantastic style. Our secret is Outlander. I style him mostly from this store. They have impeccable taste and not just one flavor. Very high quality items, excellent staff (& doggie treats we just found out yesterday). I mean the staff's the invisible type until you look up then there's a smile ready to answer, help, give an opinion or show something. They are pleasant and wise. But the selection is the bomb! You might think ohhh that store is too expensive. Well then head to the back and check out the sale rack. It's always there. This weekend was the sidewalk sale, we got my hubby 3 awesome pieces for $200 it's a bit but these aren't cheap items these are lovingly designed tailored well made items that will last. 1 star is too many. Terrible customer service. First time visiting, as we walked around the square the door was open and other customers were present so we decided to go look around with full plans of purchasing items. Little did we know they closed at 7pm (it was shortly after 7pm at this time 7:05 at the latest), staff could have easily informed us upon entering the store but did not. When we asked what time they were open until we were met with a rude staff member who commented "we like to have a life too" and acted irritated, annoyed and entitled. Unfortunate as we had three in our group planning on making purchases, you lost sales and a return visit tomorrow when you could have just stated politely "hey guys I'm sorry we're closed" as we were unaware. Been here multiple occasions; hoping that one day I can find a sports coat in my size (being Euro sizes and all), love the clothes!!! Yet the customer services has been horrid time after time. Today was no different, walked in and found one sports coat that seemed to be ok size-wise. Proceeded to ask the young guy behind the counter: Is this the only one you have in this style? .. to what he answered (from the counter), "what's there is what we have!". No personality at all, no "what can I do for you?" or "Im not sure, let me see the size", or even a simple "how are you?". Both employees had their face buried in their cell phones behind the counter for the good 15 minutes we were there. Not a greeting and total lack of interest in selling. Sad given such high quality in clothing. No thanks! read more

Whenever we're close to Healdsburg, a stop at Outlander always is on the agenda. This place carries interesting and unique lines with a seemingly limitless selection of shirts, sweaters and vests. If you see one thing of interest, the staff finds 5 more similar items for you to try. This upscale casual store fits perfectly in Sonoma County. The staff make it the best place to shop. read more

Though not a thrift shop, it's nonetheless a fantastic little boutique, one of the rare shops that cater exclusively to men. It's got a unique hipster trendy and yet timeless vibe. You enter and immediately your right, is a little yellow car jalopy, Italian and vintage, with the too hollowed out and sawed off, artfully stuffed with clothing. So freakin adorable. The place is outfitted with gorgeous clothing, imported fabrics, stunning colors. This is not your place for beige on beige or all black. I mean, they do have that color palate--but I coaxed and convinced and pleaded with my husband for my to treat him to an unbelievable shirt with all the colors the rainbow, a gorgeous Turkish combed cotton with an unbelievable fine hand and a touch of spandex. The drape on this shirt and the colors, the patterns is a sight to behold. I'm repeating myself but.... The woman at the counter was so sweet and welcoming c lovely and chatty. She made our experience there all three more enjoyable and helped us with finding a size Medium. She directed us to the back of the store with a fitting room of sorts, which we ended up using. Though it was a tad pricey, I wanted to splurge for him! Love this little shop and the area, it's worth checking out! read more

I can almost always find a shirt, coat, sweater or slacks at Outlander that perfectly suits my style . They specialize in casual/comfortable high end resort wear style Men's clothing. Their buyer/owner favors styles from Tommy Bahama, Nat Nast and Jhane Barnes and manages to avoid most of the standard prints/styles carried at Nordstroms, Macys or other department stores. They are located right on the town square. Service is very friendly, although prices are on the high end. Expect to spend $100-150 for a single shirt/slacks. The upside is I have yet to see ANYONE else wearing (nearly a dozen) the shirts I have purchased here. In addition, the location used to be a bank and the dressing room is in the old vault. How cool is that?!? It also doesn't hurt that the salesgirl 'Ren' is stunningly beautiful. read more

Came in here with my wife and friends to look at some shoes. Nobody else in the store except for us, two workers were just talking to each other. I went to the back to try some shoes on; 5-10 minutes later a worker comes up and says "we aren't a shoe store. It's unusual for customers to open boxes and try shoes on." We questioned him as to what he meant, he kept calling us "unusual" even though he never even came up to offer help ever since we walked in. And I know it's not a shoe store but you sell shoes anyways. Extremely weird and insulting guy. Never coming back here. read more

I was in Healdsburg last weekend shopping and walked by Outlanders with my boyfriend and we both stopped dead in our tracks when we saw a beautiful shirt on display in the window. We went in for a second but his size was not on the rack so we kept walking. A few days later we were still talking about how great the shirt was and I decided to call and see if they had his size now. Ren helped me over the phone and after finding out that they did not have his size she called that brand's rep to see if they could special order one. After that didn't work out she continued on to find other stores that carried the shirt until she found one in Miami. I ordered the shirt and am so excited for my boyfriend to get it, but I am also so pleased to have come across such a sweet and helpful saleswoman like Ren. This is a Great Store to shop at when in Healdsburg (have been here to shop before). Dropped in last Week to get some Tee Shirts. When I only found one of the Brand I was looking for, the Salesman began to show me several others to compare. Ended up buying one of the ones he showed me and found that I liked it even more when I got Home. All the Staff are Friendly and helpful. Now I have to go back to get more Tee Shirts. Really nice selection of various Men's Clothing. Check them out when you are in Healdsburg. read more
