I first spoke with Cam who is the owner, or at least one of them. I explained to him that I just wanted a 2 inch leveling kit on my truck. I went to drop off my vehicle and cam comes out and starts talking about how my tires look rough and asked me if it vibrates a lot when driving, to which I told him no, and they drove fine , he then stated that my wheels which are 24 inch seem to be a little large for the truck and it looks like they're riding on bicycle wheels. I again explain that I wasn't there for rims and tires just the level. After I left, he texted me telling me that he had some wheels that a customer did not want but he would sell them to me for a good deal. I asked him if they sat the same way as my current wheels to which he explained yes. Let me add that I was not in the market for new rims and tires. Again I only came in for a leveling kit. So I asked him if the rims did in fact, look like my current ones but only were 20 inches instead of 22 inch. I told him go ahead and put them on. after almost 2 weeks of them having my vehicle I came to pick it up yesterday evening with my wife and two young children. I looked at the truck in the tires and wheels did not sit like the original tires and wheels. They sat underneath the truck and had no offset whatsoever. I then went to explain this to Cam, and he was making up excuse after excuse . I told him I was not happy and again reminded him I was not in the market for rims and tires only because he told me they would look the same as my original wheels. I asked him to put on the original wheels and tires. did not want the current rims that he explained looked a different way. He then went to get his business partner. His business partner came to talk to me. He told me I would have to pay for the tires in full that they were taking off of the truck. I explained to him that I would not be doing that because that is not a service that they would be providing since the rims did not sit the way he explained so in fact, I would need, no tires. if I could pay for the work that was done so that I could leave but instead he threatened to physically remove me and that I would not be receiving my truck which is a 2021 ram 1500. he then told me I would have to call the police if I wanted my vehicle back. To which I explained how I was shocked that we're even getting to this point since the tires were not on my truck, I will not pay for them. He told me that they were used tires now that they took it on test drives with the rims, that again did not sit like he told me they would trying to sell them to me. Again, let me remind everyone I was not in the market for rims or tires. This would've never been an issue if he owned the mistake and said I'm sorry they don't sit the way your old rims do my apologies. Or if you saw that it sat different if you let me know within those two weeks that they had my vehicle that would've been another option. And steady waited for me to come pick it up and hoping that I wouldn't notice it. What a scumbag. And then to threaten me, and physically put their hands on me. What a joke. you know, it's awkward when your wife is sitting out side in the car and sees through the window that they pushed me. She texted me on the phone asking if they put their hands on me. If that doesn't say something. After that, she told me she moved the car to where she could see through the window and see everybody while we were arguing about the whole tire issue. Before he then told me, I had to pay for one tire just to get my keys. So I paid it in order to get out and gone. Trashy trashy people. I am attaching a picture of a text my wife sent me while I was in their office arguing about them trying to charge me over $1000 for tires that were not on the truck. They then physically pushed me and my wife saw it and texted me. Horrible experience.

Shop advised me they made their decision to do it without my permission and sent me an invoice for roughly 900$ just for the lower 2 ball joints. I asked why I wasn't made aware of this decision and they advised the mechanic said it was horrible. Reminder the truck was in fine condition when I dropped it off it's not like the dam wheels were about to fall off. If you want decisions to be made behind your back and get up charged go ahead and let them work on your vehicle. Other than that the Lift was properly installed other than the sensors that weren't put on.

I was told in order to do so I had to take a tour of their facility. I had no problem doing that cause it would allow me to ask them questions can you work on my type of vehicle and are you able to do it without any issues. I was told to keep silent about the horrible service I had received because of a refund they had given me. I was like ok and thought this would be the end of it. No their owner took it upon himself to tell shops that RENT from property from him to not allow me to conduct business with them or any shop that he rents to. Which I then called the Comal Co Sherifs dept who told me he had no authority to ban me from business who rent from him. As I am a customer. I think if you have an issue and want to be this petty contact me tell me. So If your going to be this petty then I am going to tell every classic car person and event I go to AVOID this shop. 1) They charged me over and over to remove parts multiple times because they didnt buy the part. 2) I was charged for talking to mechanic on progress of vehicle. 3) Mechanic didn't know how to work on my car and should have from beginning said we don't know how to do this. 4) They damaged paint and tried to blame shop that had originally done restoration years before them. 5) Parts were installed incorrectly. 6) Used chat forums to get help on how to work on my car. Which normally is other people like me on those sites not actual mechanics. 7) Told me they didnt want to work on my car anymore after they had done enough damage to it. Take it somewhere else. 8) Picked up my car to see it dirty inside and out with scratches and marks to paint as people were touching on car who shouldn't have been. It had no gas when gas was put in, it was old and no good. I think so many other places are better and well equipped to work on classic cars outside of this place. They are only good for routine oil changes and minor maintenance of a vehicle. I even notified Hagertys to avoid using this shop as well sending them pics and letters from a shop who fixed the car and had to undo all their mistakes. Told them I was waiting for bore diameter to order new performance pistons. "Danny" said "we can order them for you and save you some bucks". Great...but I was NOT consulted on pistons selected. Piston parts numbers showed $200 for set of Summit pistons that was marked up $100 on bill. Crank was to be polished but was told new crank would be cheaper. Bill still showed crank polish for $300. Was told it was for my benefit to avoid tax. I was not advised on crank selection. My short block turned into a long block. Was told to bring in my heads for installation. Purchased them already surfaced. Guess who got charged $300 per head to be surfaced on top of valve job for $250...not 1 call for authorization. I found this when I went in days before pick up. A $900 estimate ended up at $3000. Mission Auto Parts and Machine Shop should be last place anyone should go.

1/10 I DO NOT recommend getting any work on your car(s) at…read morethis place. I went here to get a brake fluid flush/bleed, exhaust rattle diagnosis, and also an exhaust leak concern. Dropped off my car morning 3/5 Got called about an hour and a half later to pick up. Talking with staff, I was told exhaust noise/leak could not be duplicated. I don't think they even tried. Noise is still active, at a very specific rpm range, a spirited test drive (hell even just quickly pressing the throttle while stationary can produce it) Exhaust leak is still there too. (It's minor, but there) they didn't even attempt to take off pipes causing leak. Like deadass nothing! Just put on lift, looked at it and said, "yeah, car is car" Also, I think they bled the brake system correctly (for the most part) but THEY caused a couple of dash lights to appear on my car dashboard (Had nothing when I dropped it off) dude I spoke with told me "it was already there" when I dropped it off! The fucking nerve... I researched it today (3/6) and found a quick list of potential causes. Soo long story short, easiest thing for me to check/do was inspect brake fluid level... I did. It was near the low line. I filled it to just above max line. Dash lights (VDC, PARKING BRAKE light) went away immediately after. I checked that they were still active BEFORE I added fluid. (I fixed this at about midnight (3/7) when I got home from work. When I drove it off their place (3/5) I didn't notice problems with the braking force, pedal feel, leaks. But day 2 (3/6) noticed my steering wheel shaking lightly when I lightly pressed the brake pedal (way to work and back) I'm guessing it was caused because low brake fluid level post "repair/maintenance" that this shop caused. Broo, I easily ended up fixing an issue that THEY caused. Like I CAN DO BETTER WORK THAN THEM. That is some severe incompetence. I'd be embarrassed if I worked at a shop (for profit) and my customers fixed my mistakes that I caused on their cars. They charged me $90 for half assing what they did and failing to identify/resolve most of my concerns. Seriously, if you value quality work, excellence, and (your safety) I didn't get their names (didn't care to honestly) Don't go to this place. There are better options in the SAT Metro area I only took a chance on this place because they're like 2 miles away from where I live and I was busy and a bit lazy and didn't want to do the work myself. Won't catch me making this mistake again. Also, I'm not going back again to explain to them their "work" caused more problems than it fixed. But yeah, beware.
