My family absolutely loves this outlet. In the weirdest but best way possible, our favorite part are the beautiful restrooms. They are so clean and actually smell good. Again, it's a really strange thing to say but it's true. There isn't much stores for an outlet, but there's a lot of really good ones such as Lululemon, Nike and under Armour, which are my Families favorites. Per usual we always find amazing deals and even though we have to travel about 45 minutes to get here it's totally worth the weather the beautiful location and the fact that we get to charge our car at the same time. read more

First off this is a very nice place to shop. The Open concept with the amazing views is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Good please just to walk and get your steps. Very relaxing, very nice, lots of great stores if you could definitely get some good deals on. A couple of the stores and wanted to see were closed early, like Cole Haan and Nautica. We were able to go to the Nike store and a few others. The Nike store had quite a good selection. I will have to admit for getting my stuff from Finish Line because they have the latest arrivals. I think the factory stores kind of as far as when the product was launched. The Nike store is good though, my son, brother-in-law, all were able to find things they liked. This is a shopping center we would definitely come back to. Whoever planned a shopping center great job. Visited a few weeks ago to check out the World's Tallest Christmas tree! They definitely got that distinction this year, 2020. Went on a quiet Friday night, the weekend after the lighting ceremony. This year I saw it was done virtually or you had to reserve and pay to attend the actual live. But with the pandemic, it's best to watch it virtually. I was super shocked at how quiet it was on a Friday night but happy! I got to take a few pictures and we were there when it started "snowing!" That was nice!!! I also loved the reindeer animatronics they have in the window sills above and Santa. Make sure to go behind the tree and read it's specs. Also, these outlets are so beautiful. Palm trees galore and the bathrooms are amazing and large! It's so clean too. There's plenty of parking. The night we went they had Back to the Future playing as a drive in movie. I'll have to go in the daytime to see if this outlet has ocean view! read more

I love this Outlet mall! I live approximately 45 minutes from these outlets and frequent some of the surrounding areas with my pets that I often try to make time to stop by, if even for a quick visit. This is a mid size outlet mall in a great coastal location with plenty of parking and a few quick and full service restaurants for your dining needs. It is very clean with nice restrooms, easy to navigate, pet friendly (most stores allow dogs inside), has a Starbucks and plenty of food/snack options. It is within a short distance from the ocean, the San Juan Capistrano Mission, many great local hiking spots and popular sights/attractions. There are a few other outlet malls within the same or even a closer distance to me but the Outlets at San Clemente are my favorite. read more

Visited this place for the first time recently and it is the nicest outlet mall I've ever been to. They could use a few more stores and some major brands. No purse stores for my wife or show stores for that matter but they have great parking, great weather, ocean views and the nicest bathrooms of any shopping center or mall I have ever been to! They are resort level or better. If you need somewhere to stop on the way to or from San Diego this is another Rest Stop. read more

I love the outdoor feel and there's plenty of places to sit and just have a coffee with a friend or sit with a book. Usually I don't post photos of bathroom areas, but the seating area and cleanliness were quite impressive. There may not be a ton of stores here compared to some other outlet malls, but the mall is beautiful. It's a great place to walk around if you're traveling to/from AZ, like we were. Plenty of parking, and the Stance and Lululemon outlets alone are worth the trip. read more

This might be one of the prettiest outlets in orange county, granted it's right next to the beach in the city of San Clemente. It is very clean, and there is a lot of parking available. They have all the general brand that you would find at most of the outlets. Stores like Nike, H&M, converse, vans, and many others are all here. They also have a food court in case you get hungry while you are shopping until you're dropping. I came here during the Christmas week for some last-minute present shopping. They have a giant Christmas tree where everyone takes most of their Christmas pictures when they come over here. It is one of the tallest trees you'll find in California as you can see it off the freeway. Overall, it's a very clean and nice shopping mall where you can find a little bit of everything. read more

Okay... I think the Outlets at San Clemente are trying, they really are. It's been a bit of a slow start.. but good things take time, right? What I Particularly Like: - 2XU. I adore that store (triathlon wear). The Loft. Daisy Shoppe. Nike. - Plenty of parking! - Ocean views. - Easy to get in and out of. - Gorgeous bathrooms. (Sounds funny, right? But they are REALLY nice.) What Could Be Improved: - Dining Options. Ruby's, Rockwell (just opened), Blaze, Starbucks. Ehh... maybe there are others? It would be nice to have a major dining anchor or two. - Additional tenants? A little more of a variety? It never seems "busy"... I hope the tenants are doing well enough. So fresh so clean! This outlet is still shiny and brand new! Not too much of a crowd (one does have to wonder how they pay their rent?) plenty of parking and a whole lot dedicated to charging electric cars. The outlets had big names but was a small center/area. The outlets was themed for Halloween with a giant pumpkin (perfect for a photo op) and a pumpkin patch/lot across the street. I think I saw an event or two for the upcoming holiday. Prices were not too outlet and stores were priced accordingly. Fun stop on your way with lots of food choices; Ruby's and a Blaze Pizza to name a few. Of course and anchor Starbucks on the first corner. I'd come often if I lived closer. A must stop on the way to San Diego from LA. This outlet has expanded the number of stores quite a bit since I visited last. The outlets at San Clemente includes many of my favorites stores like the pop up Lululemon store, Black and White, Ralph Laurence, Coach, Tumi, Under Armor and more. My wife comes here solely to shop at Black and White. This is one of the few outlets has the Black and White store. She also likes to shop at Lululemon too. I like the fact this outlet has the Pearl Izumi bike apparel shop. Again not too many outlets has this store. In fact, this is the only outlet I have been too has this brand. This is also a good rest stop since this is almost half way to San Diego from LA. There are a few restaurants here too with good food. I normally dine at Ruby's restaurant. They have very good fries and burgers. During the holiday season, this outlet is very festive with exotic Christmas decorations. The outlet features the tallest Christmas tree in California, maybe the whole of the US. It is nice to feel the Christmas spirit here amidst the depressing feelings of the Pandemic. read more

This is the best outdoor mall in the OC. We were out here during the holidays shopping and there are so many places to go to. Starbucks, Zells, Burlington Coat Factory, and so much more. I purchased some clothes and shoes. I bought my girl a couple of gifts here without her knowing. Parking structure is not so bad. Mall sits right on the beach practically. I like this little mall. It doesn't have the largest selection of stores, but it's cute, clean, and has some decent options for dining nearby! We came here on the way home from Carlsbad recently. We were in need of some workout gear, and there is enough of that here. There's a Nike Factory Store, ASICS, and Under Armour. My son liked the Vans and Tillys stores. My husband was here at Christmas and bought some things for family at the Eddie Bauer and Bass Outlet stores. There may not be the largest selection of higher end stores, but the parking was good, and it was nice and quiet here. Although some of the dining options included a Blaze Pizza, Slapfish, and Ruby's, we ended up grabbing pretzels at Auntie Anne's. Again, not the largest selection of restaurants, but good enough for parents with children in tow. I liked this little mall and know they'll be adding more stores soon. I will definitely be back to stock up for workout gear or clothing and shoes for my son! read more

Five stars for location, location, location!!!!!! The views are stunning near the ocean and the decor is fabulous!!!!! Three stars for the selection of the stores. I know every outlet mall has their staple stores but like some of the other reviewers said they could use a Coach outlet and Michaels Kors outlet and some other vendors. And for the plus size ladies and yes in San Clemente there are people that are plus size- plus size could be anywhere between size 12 and up, so a Lane Bryant outlet would be nice. When I didn't like when you into some of the stores for some of the personnel will talk to certain people and not to others. It doesn't make you feel that welcomed. The area and the location is beautiful but my money is just as green as the next snotty person standing next to me and if I feel like I'm not welcome somewhere I'm not going to spend my hard earned money there. The Swarovski stage was absolutely rude.I walked in there and all the ladies on the floor never said one word to me. I walked around I smiled I looked at them and they wouldn't even move out my way when they were talking to other guest. Other people walked in they were greeted they were told their names asked if they needed help to let them know and my mother actually walked in and she got a hello but that was the extent of the conversation. I actually found two items that I wanted to buy but did not because I was not going to spend my money in a place where I felt like I was not acknowledge. I absolutely LOVE this outlet! It's so clean and never too crowded, stores are nice with a Lululemon outlet store! And it has one of the nicest restrooms I've ever been to at an outlet, being a new mother I'm just learning how important that is to a great shopping experience. I liked orange outlet but the restroom situation was absolutely terrible so I don't think I'll be visiting them anytime soon. Shopping here is always so relaxing and enjoyable. Ev station is so convenient, and the San Clemente trolley stops here and takes you to the beach. Absolutely love it!!!! read more

2.5 stars, rounded up because I like the restroom. I've been here several times, and both the shopping and dining are "meh" here. This is usually just a pit stop for me on my way to LA or from LA down to SD because the women's restroom is absolutely gorgeous. It's well-maintained, and looks as pretty as a hotel. There's even a sitting room/lounge with wall outlets for charging phones. Sometimes I use this place for its ample parking- I will ditch my car here for the day and enjoy South OC. I hang out with friends in the area, or I can take the summer trolley to the pier. Sadly, the trolley ends next month. The stores here suck! There are a few good ones, but overall the selection isn't great. As for dining, I tried Rockwell's for coffee but eh. This is the rare time I will say to stick to Starbucks. I have a review up for Slapfish, as it's the best semi-unique restaurant here, which truly isn't saying much. Oh, but a dumpling place is opening soon, for those who care! Overall, I am honestly surprised this place is still open. I will continue to use it for free parking and a pit stop though. My suggestions for outlet shopping are: - Cabazon is amazing, Las Americas down south okay, and Carlsbad is way better than this one, if Cabazon is too far to drive to. Considering this is an outlet, I was able to find several items heavily discounted and the same items cheaper here than their regular stores. The store was kept clean, neat, and had several clearance racks in the back. This is a beautiful outdoor outlet with some top name anchor stores like Nike and Columbia. Otherwise, Carlsbad is a preferred outlet location with better stores if you on a LA to SD trip. read more

Lacking good stores. Where are the major chains like gap / banana republic stores, handbags, etc

This place is simply awful. It is very out of place in this area and doesn't seem to be an actual "outlet" mall at all. It's like they picked the worst outdated corporate brands that absolutely no one in this area buys or wears. Calvin Klein, Puma, etc. I walked into several stores (including the "Levi's Outlet" store) and couldn't find hardly anything on sale. I asked the managers of several of the stores (including Levi's) if the items they were selling here were any different (or lower priced) than the items they sell at their retail stores in other malls and the answer was a solid NO. Same exact inflated retail prices you can get anywhere. In many of the stores, Covid guidelines are being ignored by staff and customers. This mall has been dead since they opened it, so they have resorted to a bunch of gimmicks to lure people here. Don't even think of trying to come here on a Saturday. They have a weekly car show that attracts a boisterous (and maskless) crowd that takes over the entire parking lot. Those same folks race on the surrounding streets and have created a lot of problems for locals living in this area (whom mall management could care less about). On Sundays they allow "churches" to hold rock concerts in the parking lot. If that's your thing, check it out. If you live nearby, it's just another nuisance. The restaurants here are nothing special. Typical quick service mall food. There are always lines for Blaze pizza, which tastes like white bread and ketchup. If you are looking for outlet deals, you won't find them here. If you want an experience more authentic to this area, you might try downtown San Clemente or the Dana Point Marina area. If you want to go to a good mall, try the Irvine Spectrum or South Coast Plaza. Don't waste your time at the "Outlets" at San Clemente. read more

At least mix it up and add some variety. Such terrible music ruins your shopping experience. This place is nice and clean. Not busy at all. I thought it was a brand new outlet mall, but one of the vendors here said the mall was about four years old. We found this location after Googling for Papaya Clothing Store, which is one of my wife's favorite clothing stores. Since there is none in Nevada, this was the nearest store to were we were vacationing in Carlsbad. This mall has a limited amount of stores which is probably why it isn't that busy. I posted a picture of the directory which displays all the stores here and a map of their location. So, if the stores here are what you are looking for, you scored because it's quite, clean and not busy at all. Even the restrooms are super clean and nice. WARNING GAY COMMUNITY STAY AWAY FROM THE OUTLETS OF SAN CLEMENTE!!! Harrassed and Humiliated beyond recognition. I had came down here for a day of shopping and relaxation with my partner; but left with a migraine and stressed out. After frolicking in and out of stores, we decided to take advantage of the rest area in the bathroom facility; while Yelping where we were going to eat at. When two male security guards rushed in and began questioning me as if I were a criminal; stating that I had 5 minutes to vacate the rest area because there were woman that were too scared to enter, because of my presence. Needless to say that We stood our ground and then took our complaints up to customer service, were I demanded an apology from both of the security guards. SHAME ON YOU SAN CLEMENTE read more
