New shoes help prevent injuries, so I like to make it easy to keep exercising. Will was very helpful! I asked him to look over the shoes I decided were possibilities, and he suggested a completely different pair. I didn't feel "upsold" because the price difference was only about $10, but once I tried on the shoes, I understood what he was talking about. Immediately, I said, "these are mine!". I have a large foot, so they only had one pair, but Will let me know there was another pair in the Long Beach store. I headed out to the LB store the next day and snagged a second pair. At the same time, my friend headed upstairs to the Men's section because she, too, has a large foot. The women's selection gets smaller and smaller when the shoe size increases. She was greeted by a female sales person who helped her find two pairs of shoes and a windbreaker-type jacket. My friend is not a Nike member, so she filled out the online form and received a 15% discount on her items. I responded to a Nike request for feedback, and I described the San Clemente store as "homey." We received great help from very friendly sales persons. As a bonus, I saw a drinking bowl for dogs. This is a really great store. The service and selection were good, and we found what we needed right away. The store is so big and beautiful! I needed some running shoes, and we were at the Outlets at San Clemente. As we walked in, the staff seemed friendly. I made a beeline for the women's running shoes and found a great pair of shoes right away for $49! I love finding nice shoes at a wonderful price! They also have a decent selection of clothing, and the store seemed clean as well. I liked that this Nike location is dog friendly too. There were also sales items all throughout the store! They had some good deals when I came in, and everything was organized. Great variety of sizes. Little inventory for kids. Bout about 5 items for under $120 with tax, which included a jacket, 2 kids tees, and a matching sweatsuit. My only complaint would be the fitting room cleanliness. Now there were no go backs which shows how much they attend to the fitting rooms. There isn't someone there, but it wasn't busy so understandable and it was easy to find an employee to help you or they would notice me waiting and come open a room. But the floor was pretty dusty and neglected considering the amount of dust bunnies. My hat fell on the floor and I noticed when I pick it up it was full of dust. Out of all the Nike outlet stores, this is the only location I've experienced that has such poor air conditioning that I start sweating within a few minutes of entering the store. When you enter, it's like mission impossible, because you are trying to navigate the hot humid tropics of this store location, while trying to find your preferred shoe. Nike, you have the money to invest in adequate air conditioning not only for your customers, but also for the sake of the employees working for hours in this environment. This is an ongoing issue at this location and it's ironically next to the beach and fresh ocean air. Stuffy, hot, and humid makes people want to run out of your store and cut their shopping experience short. Please, address this swiftly. The selection of shoes here is decent. Hit or miss, but sometimes you can find a gem. The employees range from friendly and helpful to checked out and unhelpful. I bought shoes here a week ago and realized they were a bit small. I went back to this same location where I purchased to buy half a size larger. While it is my fault as the customer for not saved the receipt, signing up my email to "track purchases" (creepy and exhausting how all business want your email to spam you and track you, no thanks), and I couldn't find the card I used to purchase, the store manager would not let us exchange for the exact same shoe just half a size larger. We haven't worn these and bought from the same location recently. Now, we can't use the shoes at all. The manager offered us a redirection of signing up our email for their program, which is a poor redirection and doesn't help us currently. I understand this policy is in place, but managers can make exceptions as they see appropriate. I'm not asking for store credit or return, but an equal exchange. If you don't meet your customers halfway, there is no incentive to keep shopping with them. Poor customer service at Nike. Not inspired to keep buying shoes here, when there is so much variety available. read more

This is the best place to shop for shoes in OC I have been going here for a while always find good sneakers on clearance for cheap and they typically are very stocked up. Cornell is my favorite employee he always says hi and is so friendly and lets me know if has seen anything come in that I might like. Really friendly staff clean store good energy and great finds. Just had a terrible experience with this business. Just because you're Nike, doesn't mean you can treat customers like shit. I spoke with a gentleman "Evan" upstairs, who scanned an item and told me it was on the sale, but it wasn't showing up the system. So he assured me that if they spoke to him on their com system, that he'd let them know it was on the additional sale. I got to the register and the extremely rude woman- "Reina", proceeded to tell me that she would not honor the sale price. The sign where the item was hung literally said "30% off lowest ticketed price". It wasn't like a misplaced item. All like items were placed there. So either Nike is falsely advertising their prices, or their system hasn't been updated and their employees can't communicate. Either way- "Reina" was extremely rude and unprofessional. Won't be going to Nike anytime soon. Used to love their stuff but it's overpriced if I have to deal with clowns like "Reina". Van's dudes are cool. Do yourself a favor and head that way. read more

This is the coolest sneaker/sports shoe store ever! I was shopping for comfortable walking shoes for my dad, and "playground shoes" for my Daughter, and the store certainly provided a reasonably priced, huge selection of shoes. I do hope that it will provide more inventory for girls' apparel though (my Daughter is pretty picky). Staff members are everywhere smiling and willing to provide assistance. When checking out, Wiley provided tremendous help (we went in the late morning of Saturday, June 1st). She patiently and courteously walked/talked me through becoming a loyalty member with the app which gave me additional savings. I told Wiley that I hope the shoes fit my dad (he has very wide feet), and she advised me that if my dad is not completely satisfied, I could return them within 60 days. Young woman like Wiley give me the peace of mind to believe that the world in which my Daughter will grow up will be okay, maybe even good, maybe even great! I like this outlet compared to the Las Americas location because it's a two-story store and there is less staff which makes it feel more normal. As for Las Americas outlet everywhere you turn there is an employee and it becomes a little bit too uncomfortable. However, I love that this Nike offers military discount as well as always has storewide promotions. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE NIKE GIFT CARDS I purchased a Nike gift card from Rite Aid for my son for Christmas. He took it to the factory store in San Clemente to use. He also had my receipt of purchase from Rite Aid. The employee scratched off the code on the back and said that there was only 10.00 on a card that I paid 120.00 for. Nike is now saying they are not responsible for third party cards.. Rite Aid says it's Nike that needs to honor.. My son has been battling Nike for 2 months to honor a Christmas present. This Nike Factory Store is located conveniently by the parking lot at the outlet. The store has lot of employees that are chill and will guide you to the right section. I got lucky and picked up some new slides (Nike Benassi JDI Slide) for only 9 bucks. They are usually 30 and the unique print on it is sold out at every online store I checked. In the past, I haven't had any luck finding nice shoes in my size at the clearance aisle, but the regular aisles have plenty of shoe deals for running and bball. They also have sports apparel deals. Would def recommend checking them out if you need more sports apparel or new shoes/slides. read more

A real life "Tale of Two Cities" I had an awful experience at the Nike Community Store up in Portland a week back (see my review for that store) but really needed a Nike Item so hit the Factory Store not far from my place in beautiful San Clemente California. The San Clemente store first of all did not have (as none of the other stores have either except for the awful Nike Community Store up in Portland) young guys at the front profiling customers who enter and or leave the store. (We dont profile like that in the more affluent burbs and towns...we let people shop and be themselves without being profiled) This store (like all the other Nike outlets I have visited in other part of the country and here in Southern California) had a great selection of product at great prices. The Nike Factory Outlet at the Outlets at San Clemente should be a must stop if heading down from LA or Orange County to San Diego or vice versa to stock up on Nike gear at great prices. read more
