Veggie Bowl
Kathy D.

Friday night feels and wanting comfort food, we found ourselves back to Outpost 611. After a too long wait to be served, Tablemates ordered beers, and we were off to the races. Or not. Our friendly server either had too many tables, or tables in too many places. When we finally ordered food, I had the Impossble Stacked Heat burger, daughter had Chicken Street Tacos with sweet Thai Chili sauce, and hubby the Chicken Caesar Wrap. After a 30min wait, my burger was on a too hot plate for me to touch so server placed it down. I could tell, as the single tiny piece of lettuce under my burger had totally wilted to the bun, unable to be removed. While the bun itself remained tasty, the Stacked Heat sauce was minimal with the four jalapeño slices, and the burger itself over done and tasteless. The whole burger was really sad. The upside was the crispy, crunchy Tater Tots. Hubby's wrap was standard fodder, nothing to say but it filled the whole. Daughter's tacos looked delish and she enjoyed them very much. Didn't bother with photos for this trip, as the food just wasn't up to snuff except the tacos, but what was the point? I chose the burger as, per a previous review, my usual Veggie Bowl was no longer the great meal it used to be back in the day, having been scaled down to just mixed veg and white rice. As the Veg burger is not a good choice either, looks like this is no longer the place for tasty meals, or even a place for good prices, as they seem to have skyrocketed ($17.50 for a crappy, dried up burger doesn't cut the mustard). Truly sad, as the food used to be first rate. At least the drinks - and def the chocolate attached - are still good. But we won't be back to eat.

Cottage pie with French onion soup

Becka, our server, was ON IT! Great service, great recommendations, great food! Standouts were the Bavarian pretzel, French onion soup, and the Shaggy Belgian. The butter toffee cake is to die for. Definitely coming here again next time I'm in the area.

Patty Melt with their lasagna Soup Of The Day

First time here and will be back. I've always passed this place and 12/12 was the day to go. They have daily specials and trivia on Wednesdays. Being a fully stocked tap house, learned that they're known for their beer and selection of bourbon. The space is so inviting and chill at the same time. Cooper was an awesome waiter. Walked through the drink menu with me and the top food items on the menu. I got the patty melt and the lasagna soup. Both great. Both extremely hot left with a free glass and some stickers for choosing the Christmas ale on 12/12. We love a festive group Parking is available but this plaza is notorious for having a lack of parking so recommend coming before the dinner rush (before 8pm).

Pork belly Flatbread with a ranch drizzle and a mini poutine

Came here for book club. Service was excellent! I ordered the Pork Belly flatbread and a . The Pork Belly flatbread comes with pork belly, mozzarella, red onion, and BBQ. I added a ranch drizzle. This was delicious! I also ordered a side of the mini poutine. Fantastic!

Came in on a Friday night for some dinner with the family and friends. Immediately I noticed the millennial wall art opposite of the bar, seems interesting for an 'outpost'. The restaurant was dead except for a group celebrating a birthday at the corner of the bar, and the live performer who only realized halfway through our dining his guitar was too loud for the small restaurant. Despite this seemingly slow night, the service was sluggish. I routinely looked around for the waiter who was apparently hiding from us. I can't blame him too much, buddy seemed to be going through a rough time. When I did lock eyes with him during my attempts to get some service, he seemed to be lost in reflection. When the live performer started his rendition of "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac, I believe our server had to take a second to recollect himself. When my food eventually arrived, the Brats and cup of Chili Soup, I was only met with more disappointment. The brat-to-bread ratio was greatly off, and they forgot my mustard. The chili was good. The rest of my group did not find many other nice things to say. This Outpost is any easy pass, especially due to its proximity to the bustling and culinary-robust downtown of Safety Harbor where you can easily find a much better experience. Don't bother.

Mac n Mac and Cheese

Such a cute place! Loved the decoration and ambiance! Our waiter was very helpful, friendly, and attentive even being as busy as it was that night. Was in the mood for wings and they were delicious, perfectly sauced and big! Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy. Will come back to try more things when in Clearwater.

Veggie Wrap with Fries

Had such a great experience this evening with family. We had Cooper as our server and he made dinner entertaining and provided wonderful service. There was a live band playing which added an additional excitement factor to the already busy restaurant. Huge bar, and a very big back room as well! The food was great, we shared the gigantic Bavarian pretzel, and had multiple items ranging from Veggie Wrap/Bowl to Soup and the Cottage Pie. Drinks were delicious, and Cooper kept them flowing! Plenty of options for any type of eater, so a great choice for anyone! Will be back.

Cheesesteak with beer cheese and tots

Great little, out of the mainstream, gastropub find! Food was quality and great portions for the price. Pretzel was fire!! Appreciated the cauliflower that was not heavily breaded yet heavily seasoned as well as the seasoned fries. Service was excellent and meal made complete with free chocolate samples from next door. Lovely vibes but not too loud. Family friendly and probably a solid place to watch some sports games too.

Went here on a Sunday lunch, with my wife, our daughter, granddaughter and granddaughter's friend. Very close to our church - a new place for us! Not too busy yet, snagged a table right away. Just had to pull the girls away from the Leonidas Belgian Chocolate area! Emily, our server, brought our menus along with a big carafe of water and little glasses. I know I had to order the huge pretzel. The younger girls had never had a real pretzel. And because our granddaughter is a huge pickle fan so I also order the Fried Pickle Chips. Both were excellent. The pretzel was apparently just out of an oven, it was too hot to pull off pieces for several minutes. My wife and daughter decided to split a cheesesteak sub. The younger girls decided to split a cheeseburger and fries. Hmmm, they weren't fooling me with shared meals. They were thinking ahead about the Belgian chocolates!! I selected the Thai Shrimp Bowl and a side salad after Emily assured me the Thai bowl had some heat. We had barely finished most of the pretzel and all the pickle chips when our meals arrived. Incidentally my wife and I both chose the mustard as the best dip for the pretzel. Cheeseburger was very good, evidenced by the smiles. The Cheesesteak was also very good but having just had a terrific one, I had no desire for it. My Thai Shrimp Bowl was delicious, with great heat (not sure if Emily asked kitchen for extra heat). Salad was crisp, cold and yummy, and shared. Then came the moment I was not looking to happen. Turning four females loose in the chocolate shop! But first we agreed on some rules. Each one could choose 2 pieces only and get a variety so we could all share. All went well, a small box for $28. Nothing priced, it's all priced by weight. I did get several mini-bites. Scrumptious. But better for me was watching the girls enjoy the flavors. Great service, great food, wonderful Pretzel - if you've never had a soft, warm pretzel, you must try it!

Justin Rice playing tonight. Lots of Eric Clapton, Marshal Tucker Band favorites. Beautiful night fine music and food.

The ambiance at Outpost 611 is just what the doctor ordered for a Friday night after a productive week. Justin Rice playing his easy listening soft rock and jazz with an assortment of Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Marshal Tucker, along with some smooth jazz. The French onion soup ranks highest in this county according to my Love and me. The Thai Spicy shrimp was on key. Glasses Diora pinot noir, and J Lour Cabernet for starters, and Kona coffee for desert. Service provided by our waiter Spencer was very good. Definitely a place to return each Friday if possible.

The Californian Club as a wrap.

First time at this restaurant, and we will definitely be back. Basically, 3.5*- in the spirit of the holiday went with 4. The service was truly excellent. Or server was attentive, professional and basically perfect. I was also very impressed by the selection of whiskey and their cocktail menu. At the restaurant itself was very very attractive. As for my meal, I had a chicken sandwich with avocado and bacon that I made into a wrap. It was OK - and that was on me. I could have it should've added some dressing or something to pick it up. Next time I will. My dining partner had a wonderful salad. In fact, I enjoyed that a lot. As for the hors d'oeuvres, our pizza was very enjoyable - I like bacon. The cauliflower was a bit spicy. And the onion rings were awesome. We will be back in soon. And a more detailed review will follow. In the meantime, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great drinks and food. Smaller place so usually a wait on the weekends. Service is friendly and the bartenders were attentive.
