Been going to the little lamb since their OG days when they were smaller square footage wise. We've never had a bad meal here. The service is always great no matter how busy they are. It can get a bit loud especially when they are super busy but not unbearable. We love their pork rinds and their steak tartar is a great way to start your meal. I have been to the Little Lamb twice with my boyfriend and it never disappoints. By far, it is our favorite restaurant (better than a Michelin star in Jupiter). Lilyana made our experience special. So attentive to needs, genuine, sweet, and efficient. Any dish you order here is going to embody storytelling in food you've never seen before. I've been all around the world to 5-star hotels and Michelin star restaurants and this menu is by far the most creative. What a hidden gem. I normally get the steak which is served with an encrusted potato cake-esque thing on the side with bok choy and my god. My boyfriend has had the tartare, the lamb carbonara and the salmon and he's never been disappointed. Ambiance is laidback. No need to feel stuffy like other high end restaurants. You can dress for comfort (I wore my chuck taylors and jeans) and not have to worry about some intricate dress code of suits, ties, dresses or heels. And the bartender is such a tool, I can't overlook it... this place is just a few miles from our home, and I just can't love the place due to pretentious attitude of the bartender. And we love to eat at the bar. So I had a burger and my wife had the steak frites. Both were 9 out of 10... duck fat fries were amazing as were the mains. Sadly, we left before dessert or addl drinks due to lack of service. If you're not a regular, the bartender treats you like trash. "Little Lamb" BIG flavors! I have Learned my lesson! Yes, I have driven past The Little Lamb numerous times and thought to myself "but it's in a strip mall". Indeed, I have been missing out on some of the best flavor profiles in the Tampa Bay area! We were prepared to make a dinner at home but I just wasn't in the mood to cook. A cursory search of nearby restaurants didn't yield anything exciting. Do you know how it is when you are hangry, you don't know what you want, but nothing sounds good? We were flip-flopping around between several restaurant options but they just weren't incentivizing us to leave the house. There's only so much five dollar sushi you can eat, am I right? I looked at the menu for The Little Lamb several times and we jumped in the car, motivated in part, because the restaurant opens at 4 PM. We are early diners, but the thought of beating all the traffic on a Friday and getting there without having to wait was all we needed. We pulled up, and while I had seen the restaurant previously driving by, it's very nondescript upon first glance. The menu however was seriously impressive and that's what drew us in. The restaurant decor is hip and chic but completely non-pretentious and diners can be comfortable wearing anything from business casual all the way down to shorts and a T-shirt. We each ordered a cocktail and were so excited by all of the different flavors on the menu that we decided to splurge. We ordered two appetizers, a salad and split a burger. Sadly we didn't have room for an actual entrée which I'm sure would've been wonderful based on everything else we ate, but there's our excuse to go back again SOON for round two. The Char Siu ribs were epic. The meat melted in our mouths the moment our lips closed around it. Oops, that sounds seriously naughty. But you know what? It's totally apropos. MELTED We also ordered the Scallop Tartare. It was refreshing, light, and stunningly beautiful. The service was outstanding. Leilani was a very congenial server and even brought us fresh plates between our appetizers so we would not muddle the flavor profiles together. Well done. The Caesar salad was dressed perfectly, each bite coated lightly with dressing and the anchovy crumbles were subtle yet impactful. We finished our binge with a burger to share. We sprung for the duck fries and the deep, savory flavor was worth the small upcharge. My only regret is that we didn't order dessert. We told friends about The Little Lamb experience and we plan to all visit and order "all the snacks". Lesson learned! Never, ever, judge a restaurant for location in a strip plaza. I love this place. Kinda sad that they increased in size. I loved the coziness of the smaller place. Food is excellent. We always get the brussel sprouts and chicken wings. Highly recommend! We used to live less than 5 minutes away from the plaza that The Little Lamb sits. The blessing of Mel y Mel moving always occurs. Before the Countryside area of Clearwater we lives in St. Pete...people used to scoff at us for living there. We move away and St. Pete became THE place to be in Tampa bay. We recently sold our home in Westchase, known as a food desert. The very area we lived in for 9 years now has all these food places being built when we always had to drive far for everything! Countryside is no exception. The mall got a bar Louis. A Chipotle was built. Great restaurants were built in the publix plaza...and now this... The Little Lamb. Excellent food that we had to drive into SoHo to get is now available...only because we moved of course! I digress. So the food is gastronomically amazing. There's a different twist on everything you order here...in a damn good way. Yes you're getting South Tampa eats in Clearwater here. There isn't one thing I didn't enjoy...including the phenomenal service...though we looked super beat after driving 8 hours and weathered from over a month of house renovations...we were still treated like we looked normal! At a place like this I'm sure the menu is ever changing. So I say take a look at my photos but just come in and order what tickles your pickle at that moment. The $55 "prime" ribeye entree, ordered medium rare to rare, was cut uneven and very thin on one half (the well done half) and cooked medium for the most part; this dish was VERY salty tasting; I swear a few bites of meat tasted "gamey." The waiter was not a professional waiter. This place needs to decide if it wants to be a great bar with so-so food or if it wants to be a great restaurant that also has a great bar. We wanted an elevated dining experience without having to go all the way to Tampa, and this place really delivered! This is actually our first time here and we're shocked to find this place has been in business since 2016. They actually just knocked through the wall into the adjoining space, creating a huge barroom as well as a separate dining space. Very modern look and warm at the same time. I noticed that their beer list tends toward local and craft beers, and that's really what the bartender Michael confirmed. He guided me by asking what my beer preferences are and gave me a sample of what I ultimately chose: Bench Life Lager. Very nice, crisp and fresh tasting stuff but also had a little kick to it in the ABV Department. Michael offered to walk us through the menu and told a couple of stories to go with it...we wound up going with their fish dip. Think smoked mahi, topped with cornichons and capers, with some very good crackers. Wow! It was very mild in flavor but the condiments made the whole thing pop. As for entrees, Queen Bee chose pork porterhouse and I the strip loin entree. I was torn between that and their steak frites entree. Michael recommended the former because it's a composed dish with paired flavors rather than a steak with a side of duck fries. I was also thinking of their spin on the juicy Lucy because I love lamb and it screams Greek flavor. Maybe a lunch order somewhere down the road... Her pork dish appeared bland at first, but I made the goof of not trying it with the corn, jicama and blackberry ancho sauce. Once I did, then it was off to the races for both of us, as I wound up finishing her porcine porterhouse. The two together made for a great combo of flavors. My strip loin was awesome; perfectly medium rare. Michael explained the cooking process, which is why he recommended medium rare. It came with beautifully steamed broccoli and whipped taters, with a lovely reduction to top off the steak itself. Again: flavors perfectly mated with a lovely lingering after effect. So yes: we both loved this joint! I honestly think and hope this will become a regular choice for us. Michael is fantastic ambassador for this place. First time to this place. It Looks small on the outside but is pretty big inside. Lighting was perfect so we were on to a great start. No domestic beers or drafts. Chose the bartender recommendation of Bench mark. It was good but almost $8 a can so that was not appealing to us since we like to have a couple but just opted for one and would move on to a less expensive place. The food was good but a limited menu. Hubby ordered the lamb burger. It was so small and looked like a big slider as opposed to a $20 burger. I got the chicken thighs and loved them. They were spicy but I did like the heat. Neighbors got a house burger (he said it was ok but not the best he's had) and she got the ribs and thought very good. Last weekend, we decided to cross a spot off our list that has been there for a long time, The Little Lamb. We are happy we finally made it as everything was exceptional. We met a small group there to explore the menu, 8 people in total. We decided to sample through the appetizers and also have a few drinks. We started with the steak tartare, shrimp toast, chicken thighs, char siu ribs, fried cauliflower, and deviled eggs. For our main dishes we went with the flat iron steak, pork tomahawk, lamb sirloin, swordfish schnitzel, & prime tri tip. The apps started coming out and they all looked great. We all shared them at the table and there was not a bad bite to be found. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned and cooked properly. Everyone was happy. The mains came out shortly after and they looked just a good. My pork tomahawk was amazing. It was served with fried green tomatoes and dirty rice. Amazing combo. Everyone else seemed to really enjoy their meal with little to no complaints. The lamb sirloin was the only meal that my buddy said was ok, but everything else was nearly perfect. For dessert, we went with dulche de leche banana cream pie and beignets served with chai spiced chocolate sauce. Both of those dishes were incredible. Overall, we absolutely loved our visit. Went with a group of friends on Sat night. Since I'm a Gin Drinker, I ordered the "It's Still Summer Here" and it had to be one of my favorites I've had. And after I blindly ordered it, I wonder how they got the flavors so perfectly balanced. For an appetizer I ordered the Deviled Eggs, which were not recommended by anyone. I was impressed with the presentation and the ingredients as well. My main was the JUICY LUCY. I have to admit I was skeptical AF. My plan was to maybe eat half of it.
