The bathroom was large and had a nice walk in shower. The water pressure was a little low in the shower but we were on the third (top), floor so that's to be expected. Overall a great stay and we will certainly use this hotel if we are back in the area.

I'm not quite sure where the gnats came from but we killed five in the room yesterday evening/night. Pillows were awesome and bed was comfortable until the lizard decided to join. Bathroom and room was clean and smells pretty good when we walked inside. Not much to do aside from going to casino or swimming in the pool. Fitness room has basic things like an assortment of weights and cardio equipment.

With Joplin only 15 minutes away, you're not going to starve. Compared to other casinos/hotels, Downstream is left a bit lacking. They went to the office and 10 minutes later while I'm waiting my friend to leave they come and take to the cashier's and give me back every dime I spent from time I walked into the place ... Then I was told I was not welcome at their casino anymore ... It's a trick of the casinos to take as long as possible to respond to a complaint because people have no patience to wait ... My little ordeal took three hours of waiting for the slot manager and then the tech and then the casino manager but I waited them out most people won't and they know that so they use it . Just like shutting down all the ATMs at the same so customers have to wait in line to cash out ... They know most people won't wait and continue to gamble ... Details: Group arrived around 8pm and we would leave around 10:00am after a member of our group was removed. Group would spend over $10,000 from arrival to departure. Friend was playing slots and would cash out a nearly $1000 voucher from a slot machine around 4am. We continued playing until around 9am when we left to get food out, and go to the hotel for a short time. Group returned around 10am and began playing until the player that had won almost $1000 earlier, was banned and almost $1000 cash was forcibly and threateningly removed. Pitboss says that the money was available due to a malfunctioning slot machine THAT HAS HAD THIS ISSUE FOR AT LEAST TWO DAYS but was still available on the floor. The nearly $1000 was available, cashed out and played through and then more money was retrieved while off premises. It wasn't until after an additional nearly 5 hours on the floor and a trip off casino grounds, that the casino demanded payment back in the sum of almost $1000. This left the player distraught, intimidated, and uncomfortable with the amount of money that would be left after the "malfunction", and casino demands. After the player ban, the group would leave, and we will never return to an establishment that cannot uphold their end, or offer any reparation for their mistake. Extremely displeased overall with how a situation at this extreme and with such consequence is handled here. Security is also very rude and takes pleasure in forcibly take money back from distraught players after an entire night of gambling. Immature staff. 0 star rating would be Grand!
