My friend group of 6 went to the casino this weekend. After over 12 hours and more than $10k in total spending, one friend would be banned, kicked out and had almost $1000 cash forcibly and threateningly removed, which was claimed by casino to be caused by a malfunctioning slot machine. Details: Group arrived around 8pm and we would leave around 10:00am after a member of our group was removed. Group would spend over $10,000 from arrival to departure. Friend was playing slots and would cash out a nearly $1000 voucher from a slot machine around 4am. We continued playing until around 9am when we left to get food out, and go to the hotel for a short time. Group returned around 10am and began playing until the player that had won almost $1000 earlier, was banned and almost $1000 cash was forcibly and threateningly removed. Pitboss says that the money was available due to a malfunctioning slot machine THAT HAS HAD THIS ISSUE FOR AT LEAST TWO DAYS but was still available on the floor. The nearly $1000 was available, cashed out and played through and then more money was retrieved while off premises. It wasn't until after an additional nearly 5 hours on the floor and a trip off casino grounds, that the casino demanded payment back in the sum of almost $1000. This left the player distraught, intimidated, and uncomfortable with the amount of money that would be left after the "malfunction", and casino demands. After the player ban, the group would leave, and we will never return to an establishment that cannot uphold their end, or offer any reparation for their mistake. Extremely displeased overall with how a situation at this extreme and with such consequence is handled here. Security is also very rude and takes pleasure in forcibly take money back from distraught players after an entire night of gambling. Immature staff. 0 star rating would be Grand! read more

I've been down to grand lake casino, I've been down there a few times, alot of rude slot players, I saw a row of machines nobody was playing them, and a lady but my head off and said you can't play these, my friends aren't here yet and I'm saving these machines for them. This is a small casino, but it was perfect for people that just wanted to gamble for fun. The blacjack table was fun, and the staff were extremely friendly. If you hungry, their restaurant End Zone is great to feed your appetite. They have everything. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap, and it was pretty good. Do not go to grand lake casino to get a drink after six. I'm a tipper, but I'm tired of hearing from the bartender at night that no one tips her. We visited on a Saturday night. Unknown to us they closed the restaurant at 4 pm for some unknown reason so only choice for food was the snack bar. Avoid at all costs! HORRIBLE! Inedible!! Ordered 2 double burgers with fries, onion rings and chicken strips. Burgers not beef...look steamed. Tasted like paper. One bite had to throw them away. Chicken strips were hard, doughy, dried out and tasteless. One bite and into the garbage bin. Onion rings cold....tossed them too. You're better off going hungry than eating that crap. TERRIBLE CROOKS!!! DON'T EVER GO UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MISTREATED AND ROBBED! Went to support a local band playing a gig in their concert venue. My first time there. Payed the cover and went in. Nice venue, big stage, dance floor. Not very many tables. Only a dozen or so people there. Bought drinks from the bar and signed the slip for round one. My friend and I were dancing, having a great time. She and I were the only ones dancing/singing along (which is customary of this band's fans). Her 18-yr-old daughter was playing slots, also our DD. So after round two of drinks they cut us off. No more drinks. I told them we had a DD. It didn't matter. When I asked to speak to a manager, security escorted me outside of concert venue and manager said there were complaints about us being too loud! We were NOT drunk, we were not making messes, spilling drinks, sick or puking. We were being silly, having a girls night out. They wouldn't let me back in the concert venue. Wouldn't let me finish my last drink. Wouldn't let me cash out at the bar. I gave a $20 bill to my friend to take into the barmaids as a tip. Later, I learned that they had charged my bank card for both rounds of drinks PLUS an additional $25 tip! Complete bullshit! If I could give this place NEGATIVE rating, I would. Trust me when I say you do not want to wager your hard earned money at this establishment. A long time ago the machines were fairly loose. COVID hurt them bad, put them in dire straits, and it's shown big time in the payouts. VIP members receive no special treatment and don't be surprised if you get extremely lucky, win a jackpot, and they try to figure out a way to not pay it out. Casino is approximately 10miles south of Wyandotte and seems a little removed from the other area casinos. So far winnings have been slim but you may be luckier than I am. this was the worst steak ever! 1/4 inch thick and sent back. got another one and refused it. medium rare does not equal well done! tried to charge 8 bucks for half the steak , asked for the manager and waited another 20 minutes after being there for an hour and a half. This is the most scamming place. They give the big giveaways like cars to who they choose the manager told me they can give it to who ever they want. They just gave away a Cadillac to a lady that wins big jackpots and her husband drinks at the bar almost nightly . The drawing is supposed to be Random but apparently they are fixed so to all the people that go in there that aren't already wealthy you won't win they only let certain players with special numbers on their cards win. The concession stand has good food for not much money. The chicken stripes with gravy is my favorite and Hubby likes the nachos or open face chili burger. Only thing is the chocolate cake my grandma had to have wasn't worth the price but I don't see 4 dollars for 1 piece of cake worth it. read more

Unhelpful and disrespectful staff. Place looked nasty, stunk of smoke and stale beer.

1.) The casino's appearance was noticeably run-down and is in need of updating. What stood out was that there were several machines that were broken and not in service. I frequent casinos a lot, and noticed that Grand Lake payouts were only a fraction of what a legitimate casino would pay out, i.e. on my favorite game at another casino a payout would be about $6, at Grand Lake .20 cents! The machines were obviously rigged for low payout. I didn't see anyone winning, in fact everyone playing looked so grim. When my machine got hot and I started to win a little, just a little, one of the workers in the cheesy blazer hovered around me and I got the feeling I was being monitored. 2.) The bathrooms were dirty and I felt embarrassed for the tribe who owned it because the fixtures and quality of the bathroom was super-outdated. 3.) We ate a burger at the snack bar and my husband poured water out of his burger- how is that possible? The beef was unseasoned, just tasted like greasy goo. 4.) The water tasted like a chemical, even the soda tasted bad from the ice cubes that were apparently made from the chemical water. It would be interesting to have the water analyzed to see what chemical is being consumed. 5.) We participated in the Halloween costume contest and noticed that the costumes that were incredibly awesome didn't even place, or placed very low. The costume who won was cool, but there were costumes that were exceptionally better and deserved to win above that one. The casino had a judging panel, and it was clearly rigged- could they have a predetermined winner and split the winnings between themselves? Hmmmm, what else could explain such unfairness? 6.) The people who are posting positive reviews on this casino are most likely workers or marketing people trying to balance out the bad reviews. I don't go to Casino's often but out of the ones I have gone to this 1 is my favorite, and it was my favorite even before I won a Mercedes in a drawing I had only 9 entries in. Attempted to eat at the restaraunt on August 20th at approximately 1:44 pm. There was two tables occupied. Stood at the cash register for approximately 5 minutes. NO staff around. A woman entered the restaraunt from the casino floor, walked past us without acknowledging us and then stood behind the server line. A waitress came out and passed out some items to one of the tables, right I front of us.. She completely ignored us and went and stood by the lady behind the server line. We stood by the cash register for another minute or so. Both employees continued to ignore us. We decided to leave. The employees actions were disrepectful and totally RUDE. Went to the Players Club to complain. Was told to fill out a comment card. Really. We ended up at Indigo Sky Casino to eat. Totally responsive and polite staff. Worst Casino I have ever been into and I have been in them all over the country including one or two trips to Vegas a year. I just moved to Grove and decided I would give my new home some business. I won t anymore for a couple of reasons.First their slot machines DO NOT pay out. And second they have no players card program that makes it worthwhile. They could care less about giving you any kind of comps no matter how much you lose. I even spoke with one of the Managers about how they have the machines set so they NEVER hit a bonus if you bet MAX And this goes for ALL of their machines. They only want you to win when you are betting the minimum so that the most you can win will be under $50. I lost over $8000 there in a week playing virtually every machine in the place and betting LARGE wagers. I had one hit on a $5 machine betting 2 coins for $400. Other than that I hit NOTHING better than the occasional $30-$40 hit, even when betting $15 a spin. This place has the worst business plan I have ever seen for a Casino with their machines set up to NEVER pay the high rollers. The idiots running the place don t have the intelligence to realize we are the ones they WANT to keep coming back and if they had the machines set to pay back once in a while it keeps us coming back. I enjoy going to the casinos and betting high because it is fun when you hit a jackpot. But even though I live in Grove I will drive to Miami to play where at least I can win once in awhile. I have had decent luck here, well except tonight. But it's still okay if I don't go here I go to buffalo run, but this is closer. Now unfortunately tonight I ordered a Strip steak meal asked for it medium rare veggies and salad, The salad came after waiting forever (we originally was headed to Buffalo run but due to Multiple accidents we turned around and went here.) and just as we were not even half way done with our salad the waitress brought out our dinner. The steak was barely cooked pretty much raw as I got about a quarter of the way into it and full of gristle, The waitress said she would take it back and add it to the heat. bad thing is when I cut back into it it was still somewhat under cooked and you could barely cut into it. she was nice enough to say she'd bring me a new one BUT everyone else was already done with their meal and I was already mad so I just said forget it, She did take it off my bill which I would expect since I didn't eat the meal. I would go back and stick to the hambugers or just a sandwhich. as for the gambling it's fine but as a NON-Smoker I have to say that is Sucks because i have to breathe in second hand smoke and then come home and shower immediately and throat itches and coughing to get it out of my lungs.
