We visited this store on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Overall, the store itself is great--offering a nice selection for both men and women. My husband picked up a colorful pair of Hokas, and I bought some wool hiking socks that were marked 20% off. Based on inventory and product variety alone, I'd give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately, the customer service didn't match the quality of the merchandise. I'm giving this 3 stars because the two employees we interacted with came across as... fake friendly? Not sure if that's a real term, but that's how it felt. At checkout, the man helping us ran into issues with the receipt printer. It wasn't printing correctly, so he asked if we wanted a receipt. My husband said no, he wasn't concerned. As we walked out, I did a quick mental tally and realized we didn't seem to get the 20% discount on the socks. We were still near the entrance, so we turned around but he wasn't there so we asked the woman employee to help us. I explained that we didn't have a receipt because their printer wasn't working properly, but it should be the last transaction in their system. I also mentioned that there might be something in the trash can, but it didn't print correctly, per what her colleague said. Instead of being helpful in a nice way, she replied with a snippy, "Well, I thought you said there's no receipt." That tone rubbed me the wrong way. If I were in her shoes, I would've at least apologized for the missed discount and tried to help resolve the issue, rather than getting defensive. The socks had large 20% off stickers, so it was clearly a pricing oversight. We're talking about an $8 difference--not the end of the world, but it's the principle and how the situation was handled. I think she did not like that I bothered her with such thing. As the saying goes, people won't always remember what you said, but they'll remember how you made them feel. And honestly, the whole vibe just felt snooty. If my husband didn't need to try on the shoes, I don't think we'd have received any help at all. I don't plan on coming back to this specific store. Maybe it's just a Bend, OR thing and this is how they act at that place--who knows. read more

They sell a 100% organic cotton trouser. This is exactly what I was looking for in a new outdoor store in the Bend area. In addition they also offer free tailoring as well as repairs throughout the life of your product. Another wonderful option for a serious outdoorsman who doesn't have the time to learn to darn socks or patch gear. Such a great store for shoes in Bend! I was looking for new clogs and they had a wonderful selection, with a sale going on as well. The sales clerk was really helpful and gave useful advice on how to fit the clogs and how to choose the ones that would be best for long days at work. There was also one really cute pair of black shoes that I would love to get another time. I'm very happy with the pair I did buy, and I was really happy to find a local place for quality, long-lasting shoes. I also liked their loyalty program as well, as I've also shopped at Foot Zone and they are affiliated/share the same program. read more

This is a secret place to find great shoes. I've bought more than my fair share of shoes here and they have a loyalty program with all three of their stores downtown. I've got a $50 credit burning a hole in my wallet right now, just have to make the time to find another pair of shoes. Shouldn't be a problem. Today I scored a pair of Doc Marten boots. Super comfortable. My purchase before this was a pair of Dansko sandals. Dansko sandals that I have previously owned, wore into the ground and then found a replacement pair here. The staff is very knowledgable about their merchandise. I'm a pretty focused shopper, so appreciate the staff knowing what the heck is going on with what they have. They also have super cute clothes, I covet Prana and they have a great selection. Great service with really nice people working the floor. Worth a look. read more

This place has all you need for an outdoor lifestyle. I loved the wide variety of styles and clothes for every size of person and gender. It not only has amazing and kind staff but the store looks great and is always clean and well kept. The staff at this store are amazing and the shop owner is often there and working on the floor like any other employee, they are so helpful and always willing to help you find i shoe size or just a new water bottle. And maybe the best part is they love animals and everyone is welcome. Highly recommend this store! read more

I'm tired of these uppity boutiques, which is the reason for this review. I was in this store for 15 minutes and was not even acknowledged. The clothes are cute, but you can find 75% of it at REI... not a place to find unique, quality clothing/shoes. read more

OutsideIn seems to be an extension of Footzone across the street. Its focus is on outdoor gear including jackets, shirts, sweaters, etc, as well as a small selection of shoes. Brands like Prana sit alongside hats from regional artists and bottles from local favorite Hydro Flask. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and happy to talk up the shoppers. We stopped in here on a wandering tour of downtown and contemplated a few purchases. I had my eye on some Olukais on sale and possibly a hat. But ended up walking out without anything. Just not quite the right fit. That said, I liked the small but neat selection on offer, and the staff made our shopping experience all that much better. This is a great shop. They have a fab selection of fashionable outdoor clothes (Prana, Nau) and gear (Fjall Raven) as well as fun/functional shoes (Dansko). AND they are so friendly. Just really lovely staff who are so helpful. I'll be back again to check out their stuff. It's definitely a local store I want to support. read more

Great customer service is an absolute and that's exactly what I received here! Employees made a great first impression in several different ways. To sum it up though....Jen I believe it was who helped me if I recall the name correctly. I'd stated my issues I'd been having. I've always had trouble finding the right shoes for me... She had provide me with several different choices that could possibly be a good fit for me. An then continued to measure my feet for a proper sizing. Overall I ended up walking out with two different types of shoes. The ones I bought mainly for work are amazing!! Such great quality and I have notice a huge difference walking around work in them these past few days. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this store! read more
