Great place for breakfast with outdoor seating. Tried the country biscuit breakfast. Very good but the biscuit is surely enough for 2 people. I'd recommend sharing if you are interested in that dish. We weekend there and are trying different breakfast places. Decided to try after reviews here. It was Sunday and they were slammed. After a 30 - 40 minute wait we were seated. I had the breakfast skillet and my wife had the breakfast sandwich. Ok, the orange juice was good but mine was served in (the glasses were plastic) a glass that was chipped and frayed all around the rim. At first I thought it was glass and rubbed my finger around to check. Wife says it's plastic. Okay maybe safe but tacky as hell. Come on this is SANIBEL. The potatoes were ordinary mushy with no caramelization or toastiness. The toast wasn't really toasted very well. The eggs were cooked correctly. I was hungry and needed the loading with a long bike ride ahead so I ate it. Overall, we were disappointed in the service and food especially after reading reviews here. Our take: throw the chipped plastic glasses away, buy some new plastic. The food gave me the impression that they have more business than they can handle and are resting on their laurels. Just another place the Sysco truck pulls up to.Won't go back for breakfast. Train up the wait staff to be more attentive. read more

Hands down the best breakfast on the island. I love the fresh juice and all the different types of breakfast foods.

We ate here twice while on vacation on the island. It was amazing during our first visit. Our second visit was quite disappointing in comparison. The service was terrible. Our waitress seemed to forget we were there, even though she had a table right behind us that she visited regularly. It was very disappointing to have such a vastly different experience less than a week after our great visit. The food was still good, but the experience was just not the same. read more

Hey, this is a breakfast place and so expect a long wait. We were in Sanibel over Thanksgiving week and enjoyed a good breakfast here. Place is big and has ample seating but crowd gets big and hence a longer wait time. There are shops in the complex if you like to browse before eating and develop a bigger appetite. Typical breakfast items such as eggs, pancakes and toasts which my family and I enjoyed. A must visit. read more

Worst breakfast on Sanibel Island! On October 12 2015 I ordered hash browns to go with eggs over easy and toast and got some kind of fake potato squares covered in paprika that tasted terrible. Rest of the breakfast was ho hum...Waitress couldn't get the order right because she didn't pay attention when taking the order. When I requested again she shrugged her shoulders like she didn't care. They tried to charge $3.50 for one extra pancake. Went out of season. Had to wait 20 minutes, which is fine if the food makes up for it. It unfortunately did not. The best adjective to describe the food is average. The service wasn't great either. Server never checked on us. Took our orders and never came back to the table til check time. The traditional eggs benedict with potatoes were alright. Definitely have had better. My side biscuit was tough to swallow, very dry. Was not buttery at all or moist. My girlfriend and buddy both had pancakes and eggs. Both ordered them over medium and they came out runny and under cooked. They both said the pancakes tasted like bisquick. The syrup on the table is basic mrs. buttersworth or something comparable. I do not quite understand all of these over the top 4 or 5 star reviews. The decor is fine and the location is great. But you come for the food and it doesn't stand up. I am an excellent amateur chef and have been in the food and beverage business my whole life so I may be pickier than most but at the end of the day this place is still just average. Go to heavenly biscuit on Fort Myers beach, you will be much happier and your wallet will be too. read more

Not all that! The place is beautiful and quaint just like many places on Sanibel Island. I wish people would review things appropriately. I fell for some good reviews that I wish people wouldn't have written. The prices are higher than other nice restaurants on the island. The food was fair. I ordered the shrimp omelet and was disappointed. I had a shrimp omelet with havarti cheese at another sanibel restaurant yesterday which was amazing. This one was tasteless. My husband ordered the Ho Hum breakfast, and it was just OK. We ordered the supposedly amazing homemade cinammon roll based on other reviews that said it was a must have and the places specialty. It was dry and expenisve ($3.99) and most of it stayed on the plate bc it was so dry you couldn't even wash it down with coffee. Overall, the food was not good quality and the prices were high. The place is very well decorated so if you want to go in to see it, that would be the only reason to make the stop. Makes me so mad that others rated this as a 4 or more. Don't you know that people read these reviews to make a decision on where to eat? Overpriced and not worth it! read more

Hands down my favorite breakfast spot on the island! Great ambience, decor, and service - not to mention a great menu with lots of options! This was the only place we felt deserved a second breakfast visit during our five day stay. My wife and I sat at the bar and enjoyed prompt friendly service. I kept it simple with the chocolate chip pancakes, and she got the Ho-Hum, which we agreed was a great value for the money. Pancakes were great and had a generous amount of chocolate chips. I opted for the farmers skillet on our second visit, which was excellent - just the right amount of cheese and potatoes, and fresh veggies mixed right in, served hot. The biscuits were large, but a little on the chewy side for my taste. Of all the restaurants we visited on our trip, this one was clearly run the best. They were very busy on both visits but everyone in the place was busting their butt to get people seated and served - very impressive teamwork! Do yourself a favor and make visiting this excellent breakfast stop a priority! read more

Visited while vacationing this past week with my parents and my best friend for breakfast. We were smart and got there at around 7:30 ish and managed to beat the crowd, not having to wait at all when we arrived. The atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant is nicely decorated and furnished. Not over the top but also not under-done. We had great service, even after receiving our food once the place had filled up. It became quiet busy by 8, and I heard many people be put on the waiting list. They were then given a pager and told that they could browse the nearby shops if they wished. Wait times got up to 30 minutes so I advise getting there early if you do not wish to wait. I had buttermilk pancakes with an English muffin. The pancakes were delicious as was the English muffin. Their orange juice is very refreshing. My parents got omelets and my friend got blueberry pancakes. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. The only reason I am giving this a four out of five star review is because there were two huge wasps flying around inside the building. While I know this is inevitable for restaurants whom have doors that are open a lot, and they can no way control insects, it did put a damper on the experience. Though I will give the staff credit for attempting to get rid of the wasps without making it a huge scene. The food and service were great and I would defiantly recommend this place to everyone looking for a good breakfast. read more
