Phenomenal Florist!! After a colleague suffered a crisis, we needed a floral arrangement that would represent both our organizations. express the appropriate level of concern, and most importantly arrive on time. The only issue - we are in California and our colleague is local to Philadelphia. Overhill Flowers' agent Bikeema was superb. The level of customer care is beyond what anyone could expect anywhere. Her professionalism in helping us select the right arrangement; making the effort to represent our company colors with accents, ribbons and accessories, and her attention to the type of flowers was a tremendous help. The most important part of this experience was due to a delay. Due to extreme circumstances, our colleague was not available to receive the flowers on their initial delivery date. Normally a florist would drop the flowers and think no more of them. Yet, the overhill team personally checked with the office each day for THREE WEEKS to make sure we would have a fresh new arrangement delivered on the first day back in the office. I received progress reports on each attempted delivery, and a confirmation call once they were personally handed over. THIS is customer care!! The only concern was that the shop attendants were not allowed to send us an email or text photograph of the arrangement they created for us. NOTE to management: Please utilize technology so that your customers across the nation can see your beautiful work, and not just rely on stock pictures. Considering all, we'd like to make Bikeema an honorary staff member of our organization. Thanks to the entire Overhill team for going above and beyond - it is WORTH IT to shop for your flowers her. DO NOT USE!!! This florist is awful. They delivered flowers after work hours on Valentine's Day, then returned to my work to pick up the flowers because they wouldn't credit the card back unless they had the flowers back. This place is terrible and the flowers are already half dead...only 2 days later. I can't believe they sent a driver here to pick up old flowers! This is the worst florist I've ever dealt with! DO NOT PURCHASE FLOWERS HERE!!! **Please note the below comment from the store came 6 years later and is completely inaccurate. The flowers we order via 1-800Flowers and the only reason we knew who the florist is was because 1-800Flowers accidentally told us. Even 6 years later I would never use this florist!!! read more

We chose Overhill for our wedding, and we were blown away by how gorgeous our flowers turned out, the client service, and how amazingly reasonable his pricing is for the outstanding quality and care! After several consultations with 4 other florists, I called Overhill and told them my vision and gave them a list of what I needed. Hugh was amazing- like a mind reader!! Before I could tell him specific flowers I wanted, he literally listed everything I had in mind. His pricing was by far better than every other florist we spoke to and he used better quality, more unique, and expensive flowers. But it didn't stop there- he really cared about us and offered his help for another project we were building for our wedding!!! When I arrived at my venue, the flowers already arrived and it was even more beautiful than imagined! I want to preserve all of the arrangements and my bouquet! In other places we went, we were offered only spray roses for the corsages and boutonnières- ours included orchids, calla lilies, eucalyptus etc- completely stunning and beautiful! Any time I need flowers, I will be calling and recommending Overhill!!! Thank you for making our wedding so gorgeous!! Terrible customer service. No stars. They were supposed to deliver flowers to my home after my dad passed. They said they came but did not & then said they called but had the wrong number. I tried to speak to the owner to arrange another delivery but he was so rude to my niece & myself that I told the person who ordered the flowers to cancel the order. I also found out that I was speaking to the owner who was that rude. read more

Came to this florist because it was walking distance from my house and open the day after Mother's Day. Despite some of the other negative comments, I thought the staff was very helpful and pricing wasn't bad either. The staff helped me pick out flowers and was very patient with my indecisiveness. I had a great experience at this shop. I needed flowers for someone in the hospital. I really preferred a florist over the grocery store. I am glad I stopped by! I was in and out of here in less than ten minutes. Immediate service, everyone was really nice.They had bundles of flowers everywhere and I was pressed for time. The florists showed me some really pretty arrangements in the fridge. I thought the price was very reasonable. The flowers were fresh and the Vase was pretty. I wish I had a picture to post. I plan to visit again, so next time. This shop has been around for years. Not many open in West Philly, I am glad I didn't glance at yelp before I stopped by. I spoke with both Mark and his father and they were both incredibly helpful and professional. Given the somber reason for why I was ordering flowers, these gentleman went above and beyond to make sure that the arrangements I chose were ready in a short period of time. The only reason this place gets one star is so I could do a review. When you can catch them open, the service here is terrible and the hours advertised are false. For instance the hours report being open on Saturdays from 8:30am - 11:30pm. I have been by the store several times on weekends and weekdays and this place is never open past 4:30 and never open on a weekend. I tried using them for a funeral and a very nasty, unprofessional woman, who I guess was the owner or manager told me to come back on Saturday, but for the past 2 weekends, they have been closed. She was very abrasive and rude - not sympathetic at all. AWFUL service, Rude workers - don't waste your time on this rotten florist! It's not worth your time or money - plus there is no place to park around the premises. read more

This review has been a long time coming, I purchased funeral flowers for my husband's passing, at the time I was in really bad shape the gentleman whom I believe is the owner walked me and my sister inlaw through this pain staking process with unbelievable understanding, he actually hung on to every word that was said, since my husband was a artist, he decorated the flowers with an artist pallet and brushes, at the time of our conversation, I must have referred to my husband with my pet name for him, so they put his pet name on the ribbon, I didn't even realize I said it, that's how professional he was, last but not least the flowers were the most beautiful I have ever seen, everyone in attendance was very complimentary, I want go to anyone else for flowers.
