Do not buy flowers from here! My mom bought what she thought was a gorgeous 30 flower bouquet and when the recipient sent a thank you, it was not the same bouquet, and it was 10 ugly wilted flowers. They did a good job, the flowers were beautiful. However, the school that I had them delivered to was 11 minutes away yet I was told they wouldn't arrive until 1 pm - 3pm (which I thought was weird because I also ordered them the day before). I've been with Long Stems since they did my wedding 31 years ago and have always loved their arrangements and the freshness of their flowers. This Mothers' Day was a huge disappointment. The carnations ( my favorite flowers) were in a beautiful arrangement and the colors were soft and unusual. HOWEVER, they lasted less than 5 days. That is very unusual for carnations as they usually look good for about 2 weeks. Was I given old stock? Roses and carnations that I received from other florists still look beautiful. Keith should never let inferior flowers leave his shop. This has left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I have always dreamed about my wedding flowers - most girls dream of their dress, I dreamt of the flowers. From day 1 Keith was so excited to work with us to make my dreams a reality. On the day of our wedding, I was just blown away with everything - the flowers were so gorgeous and beyond my wildest dreams. Somehow, they were in budget, too! Each and every flower was so special - Keith even told us how the florist in Holland turned his bike around for the one special flower that ended up in my bridal bouquet!!! Long Stems was so fabulous to work with start to finish - clear communication, flexible with our budget, creative at achieving my flower dreams even in the off-season for most of the flowers I wanted, and blew me away with special touches in the space that never crossed my mind. Almost 2 years later and our guests are still bringing up the flowers from our wedding - we still get random texts asking for the name of our florist because the arrangements were unlike anything they've ever seen! Another thing that sets them apart is their enthusiasm - Keith and the entire staff seemed so EXCITED to do our wedding and to plan each and every detail. I've worked with florists for events at work in Maryland and most don't get as jazzed because they do this everyday - but not for Long Stems. I've had my fare share of ordering flowers from a website and then receiving pictures of the arrangement that looked NOTHING like the post. Title: Warning! They may leave you without flowers for your wedding Where to start... I hired this company for my wedding, and it was panic attack after panic attack with them. If you think that they are listening, they are not. Get reading to chase them or you could be told one week before that "they can't help you". To avoid the florist to put in doubt what I say, here you have a message: "Good morning, No worries! I will work up a proposal and send it over to you based on that updated info. So the delivery charge would be 20% of the total wedding cost without tax. That's the only additional charge for the wedding. I'll work up a proposal and send it over today. Take care" Never received anything, even after me emailing again... My MIL had to jump in and basically one week from the big day, and they said "Oh, there's was a misunderstanding. We can't help; too late". We had to basically beg in order to have flowers for the wedding, and close the deal at the airport... Airport because my husband and I live on the West Coast and we had to arrange everything remote for our wedding in Philly; we had this begging situation in out way to Philly. The whole interaction and the deal closure would take me a while to tell... they wanted us to pay right away and say "you'll have to be happy with whatever you get". Using the word "misundestanding" is an insult; they just ghosted us and nearly leave me with no flowers on my wedding, and the whole situation was pretty pathetic. The pain is double if I tell you that I had already a proposal from other florist that would need another review. Long Stems knew about it and so we declined with the first florist after getting the "no problem! we will take care of this!". Well, we arranged an appointment on the phone, I sent 3 comprehensive presentations with what we wanted and the call we had with a person that seemed distracted and reported to be driving. Unprofessional at the very least. Wanna know more? All the flowers and arrangement were not at all satisfactory. Could look like I'm the classic picky "bridezilla", impossible to content... but I can provide messages and pictures of everything, and I'm sure you'll cry with me. I wouldn't be this disappointed if they wouldn't have overstated their capacities... if you claim having so many awards, being the best of the main line, and all... I expect something better done than by an amateur, with fresh flowers and not seeing brown borders. The center pieces were so sad... and they seem to not distinguish between pink and peach. The boutonnieres were disproportioned, horrible... they were so heavy that they would bend the blazer border... They even don't delivered all what I paid for; they left my brother-in-law without a boutoniere... I had to improvise at some point but all the "big" photos were without any. My bridal bouquet had to be basically fixed and remade by my dad with some help because it was falling apart. The chuppa? We had to make it and decorate it. That's fine, we accepted to receive just 2 premade arrangements to set on the structure... but they didn't prepare properly, no gave proper instructions, no had the shape we agreed on. In general, I'd say that the main 2 deals florist in the Main Line are going through a bad moment in many aspects... On delivering the product at the quality they state, and providing (customer) service according to their claims and their cost. Very extremely disappointing; they should be ashamed at the very least. read more

Keith and his team were a dream to work with - they were kind, helpful, professional, and easy to work with. I got SO many compliments on my flowers and floral arrangements on my wedding day, and I continue to get compliments today when people see my wedding pictures. I got married at the gorgeous Morris Arboretum, but I must admit, Long Stems' flowers were the most beautiful flowers there. On top of it all, they offered very reasonable prices. Overpriced, with flowers that do not last. Online florists have a week freshness guarantee. Flowers from Long Stems start to go in 3 days and by a week are far gone. Really disappointed after hearing how great Long Stems is from local residents. I live out of state and the flowers were delivered a day late and wilted the same day they were delivered in Bala. Perfect Wedding Florist! Keith Bell and his staff ( Diane and Kathy) were extraordinary! They listened to what we wanted when arranging the details of my wedding. They are very professional, and customer service oriented. They decorated the chupah in Har Zion's synagogue beautifully with not only the lovely green vines, but also adding beautiful white flowers that were the focal point in the room. All bridal party bouquets matched the bride's and flower girls bouquets. I chose white rose, pale pink roses, lisianthus, white hydrangeas, snap dragons, all were amazing! The bridal party's bouquets, mother of the bride and mother of the grooms' Calla Lilly bouquets and groomsmen calla lily boutineer were beyond beautiful. The centerpieces for the reception and place card table were exquisite, simple and elegant since my wedding reception was held at Evviva, another wonderful place to hold a large party such as a wedding. I was so excited to begin working with them as i have known they had worked with my nana, who has since passed away, and my mom countless times throughout the years.
