I have used them for special occasions, and also to decorate my home when I was selling it. They have been successful with special-order flowers such as garden roses and lily of the valley. They are friendly, professional, and accommodating. When requested, they have provided lovely vases and accepted them back for recycling (re-using). I could not have been happier with the flowers at the memorial service for my husband. We told Michele the colors of the flowers in my husband's garden and she designed the most amazing arrangements to be displayed at the service. When my sister-in-law called in an order for an arrangement, Michele matched it to the others to create a beautiful display. The arrangements were so full, had so much texture and color and I enjoyed them for more than a week after the service. Michelle and her team did the flowers for our daughter's wedding in May. The experience was positive with great communication, flow of ideas and options, and overall results. Her staff is super pleasant and responsive. I have read some bad reviews below and am really surprised. I worked with this team for a year - all good all the time and I AM PICKY. They gave me updates on the financials with every change - in a spreadsheet - so there was no confusion. They also have a lovely shop in the Ellis Preserve cottages which is easy to park and access on your typical day for any other floral needs. Based on the many amazing and positive reviews, I decided to book Accents by Michele for my baby shower on November 10th, 2024 at Terrain Gardens in Devon, PA. What a horrible mistake. I started working with Michele and her team in July in preparation for my November baby shower. My beginning interactions with Michele and her team were great. I had an excellent experience up until the week before my baby shower. On August 22nd, 2024 Michele and her team sent me an invoice. The invoice stated that each bud vase was $15 a vase with Accents by Michele providing the bud vases. On the bottom of the invoice it stated "This is just an idea of pricing, when final details are in, we will adjust." This was fine and we agreed upon premium flowers at this time, which was also stated in the invoice. I was never told when to call the flower shop for a final headcount, I assumed someone would reach out to me. I had my final table headcount two weeks before my baby shower, I should have reached out to the shop and let them know my headcount, but communication was unclear the entire time after August. I kept being bounced back and forth between Lora, Michele and Erica. The week of my baby shower, I get a call from a woman named Mariam. I have never spoken to Mariam before and from the start my interaction with her was extremely negative, rude and disrespectful. She called me on the Monday of the week of my baby shower and let me know that she had to order the flowers by that day or the next day and to tell her how many bud vases I needed. I told her I needed as many bud vases that go on the tables at Terrain (five tables). I have never been to Terrain for an event and in the beginning of the planning process, Michele and her team assured me that they would help me decide how many bud vases I needed based on my headcount of guests, excluding the honey pots. Mariam insisted that I needed 38 bud vases (one for each guest to take home, since I was now being forced to provide the bud vases since the communication was not clear about this at all). I told her I needed 32 bud vases. Her response to our conversation was "well someone owes me a balance here and it is going to come to $743.40 for 32 bud vases with delivery, set up and tax." I ended the conversation with Mariam and asked her to have Michele call me. My mother then called the flower shop and spoke to Mariam. My mother told Mariam she is willing to pay whatever the balance is since it is the week of the shower and she did not want me stressed out being that I am seven months pregnant my mother agreed to pay whatever it was since she was hosting my baby shower. The next day (Tuesday) rolls around and on my lunch break at work I get a call from Michele. Michele was extremely rude and told me that my mother called the flower shop yesterday and explained that her prices were ridiculous and she was not paying the bill which was completely FAR from the truth since I spoke to my mother right after her conversation with Mariam the day prior. What Michele doesn't know is.. mothers and daughters talk? Maybe she was surprised by that. I immediately felt as if I was interacting with a high schooler on the phone with Michele. She was disrespectful, rude and honestly, immature. I questioned Micheles pricing, because I felt as if this bill was high ($743.40) for 32 bud vases. Michele proceeded to explain that I chose all premium flowers. I explained to her that I understood, but the invoice she gave me back in August had all of my premium flowers that we agreed upon listed $15 per bud vase. Michele then told me the flowers were already at her shop (when the day before Mariam told me that she had to order the flowers on this day). At this point, I was done dealing with Michele and her team. I had enough, it was paid. The day of my baby shower, Michele arrived and didn't say a word to my mom or I. The flowers were NOT what I expected at all and half of them were already dead. It is quite scary that Accents by Michele is a wedding florist. She might be one of those floral companies who only cares about brides and weddings, which is fine. I just wish if they didn't want to work with me they would have just declined my buisness. Bought a $100 bouquet for my mothers bday. ($125 with deliver). Flowers were stunning when they arrived. But they died in 2 days. Just after the 2 day policy so unable to "return"... also I live over an hour away (which is why I paid $25 for deliver) so I wouldn't have been able to physically return anyway. I know cut flowers don't last forever but was very disappointed in how short lived these were. Your policy is unacceptable & as I'm the one who placed & payed for the order you should have no problem locating my order. But yet another way for you to shimmy out of responsibility. read more

Accents by Michele is a wonderful flower shop. I like to stop in out of the blue once in a while, and ask for a hand-picked arrangement to surprise my wife. They always make a beautiful arrangement. I have also bought roses for Valentine's Day, and they always last a good long time. Note that they are now in the Ellis Preserve complex, in one of the "old houses" behind the new firehouse. I needed a house warming gift in a hurry and went over to Accents by Michele which is in my area on West Chester Pike. I haven't been there before, so I didn't know what to expect. The store is warm and cozy with the light scent of flowers floating through the air, and there was a nice selection of house plants, cut flowers, and small gift items. The staff was as nice as could be in helping me choose a basket of houseplants customized to my comments about what I like and don't like. I had flowers delivered to my friend for her birthday from Michele's!! I live almost 3000 miles away!!! I told myself I will never have flowers delivered unless I see them in person because every-time I have sent flowers to someone they looked nothing like the photos and so expensive for so little! I looked at reviews and saw Michele's has some really good reviews! I even spoke to Michele and she said oh don't worry ur friend will be happy!! So I took a chance because my friend not only loves flowers but knows her flowers so that made it even harder! Well let me tell u.....most beautiful flowers my friend said she has ever gotten and the service was incredible! Very disappointed in the orchid arrangement we ordered for delivery for a birthday gift. My job has me ordering orchid arrangements for numerous people all over the country. I always search out local florists instead of national florist companies so that I can talk to the people who are actually making the arrangement. I usually spend in the same price range of $125 before tax and delivery. What I got for that price from this florist was a joke. For that price I usually get 4 orchid stems in the arrangement. Not from this florist. I got two. Now I did ask how many stems there would be and they did say two. So I clarified that there would be greenery also to make it a substantial arrangement. They said yes. So based on that and other reviews I read I figured it would be a nice arrangement. Not at all. What they delivered was the same orchid I could get at Trader Joes for $12.99. I always ask for a pic of the arrangement they deliver. When I got the pic I was shocked at how bare this orchid was. (See pic). I responded back at how disappointed I was. No response. Their idea of greenery was a few sticks pushed in the orchid. Needless to say I will not use this florist again. If you're thinking about it just look at the pic of what I got for $125 and decide if that's what you're looking for. read more

I contacted the shop late in the day for a same day delivery. Two other local flower shops had told me I was too late to get an order out. Accents by Michele said "no problem", and was all business. I sent her a photo of what I had in mind and she put together a $100 arrangement and had it delivered in a flash. The recipient was delighted and sent me a photo.
