(Note cleaner used has worked fine with every other pair of glasses ever owned). Also opted for the add-on of magnetic pop on/off sunglasses. They are convenient, but the magnets are well within the field of vision. When complained about the issue was told there was nothing to do but perhaps let the manufacturer know. Finally, despite several visits for re-adjustments they still fit poorly. Back to old glasses. Waste of time and money. If you proceed anyway: Be VERY careful on your selection and stock up on the "magic" cleaner.

I don't know whay small cars or motorcycles take the big ones making people with trucks or SUVs to park in very tight spots.

I visited Overlake about a week or two ago and boy was I disappointed. First I came in to check in for my appt and the girls up front were too busy chatting about their weekend plans to care that I had walked in. I was then greeted with an eye roll from the receptionist because I suppose I interrupted their VERY important conversation. While I was in with Dr. Tony he seemed incredibly distracted. He was nice enough but there was clearly something else on his mind rather than focusing on the task at hand. My biggest reason for giving 1 star was the awful lady who attempted to help me find glasses. No offense, but in order to give an opinion on fashion, one must have fashion sense. I didn't want some wire frame that makes me look old. I wanted a fashionable frame that would enhance my look. She had no idea what she was talking about and I left without purchasing anything. I have since gone to Market Optical and found a fabulous pair of glasses from somebody who cares about my time and needs. I will not be returning to Overlake Eye Designs and I would never recommend them. UPDATE: It looks like bad reviews can be removed on yelp. Shouldn't people know what they're getting into? It is an absolute pleasure seeing the staff at Overlake Eye Designs every year for my annual exam. Of all the businesses I interact with throughout the year, Overlake Eye Designs is the best. The staff is incredible. They remember me. We have great conversations and they are so accommodating on my whacky prescription and take the time to get everything perfect. I walk in a year later and Eric knows my name. Kristen is awesome and Tony is excellent and dialing in my prescription along with remembering our prior discussions. Just like it was yesterday. Everyone is happy and the atmosphere is great. I wish I had more reasons to stop in throughout the year and just hang out :) Simply the best. Thank you Overlake Eye Design. Wonderful experience ! I saw Dr. Eric Chang for my exam. Before seeing him the tech ran all different kinds of tests with new technology which, I thought was nice because my previous eye clinic didn't have these tests I had done here. The exam was very thorough, Dr. Chang answered all my questions and explained everything he was doing and the condition of my eyes. I can tell that the Dr and staff do really care and want the best for their patients. I would highly recommend coming here for any eye care needs. read more

I highly recommend Overlake Eye Designs. I found the front desk staff to be very welcoming and professional. The doctors are knowledgeable and friendly. I never felt like I was being rushed. They listened closely to my history and addressed my concerns while being collaborative and explaining the tests that were done and the results. They have a great selection of glasses! I've been coming to see Dr. Wong and his staff for 11 years, since they first opened 2003 and I love it! The selection of eye-wear is vast and the staff is happy to help you pick out a frame that looks great, or order different colors and sizes. Dr Wong and Dr Pian are the nicest and most thorough optometrists I've ever been to. They take care with the patient's health and truly want you to be happy when walking out the door. A friend of mine referred me and I can't wrap my head around her love for the place. Dr Wong doesn't seem to have a clue. I came in for my yearly check and have always had 20/20 vision. He tried to convince me that I need glasses now!! I just think it's a ploy to get me to spend money and buy glasses... You won't fool me that easily. I have a rare eye disease that, left untreated, would have caused severe sight degeneration and potentially blindness. I was fortunate enough to go to this clinic and Dr. Wong detected my disease despite very few symptoms. I'm so grateful that the physician was astute enough to detect it early, that, so long as I live in WA, I will never see another optometrist. There is no other doctor I could ever trust as much. read more

I never received a prescription to place an order and had to request this. By 7/1, I finally received a call about placing an order. I still did not have my prescription. The woman sent me a link to place the order, which wasn't helpful at all, as she had indicated I would be able to pay with my CareCredit card. Not only was the link wonky, it did not allow me to order. I tried calling the office and it went to voicemail. Then I got a text saying "sorry we missed you. Please send a text as we will see this sooner." Clearly not true. After another text to them, saying how frustrating this experience had been, I was given the same link and told basically the same nonsense. I then asked for my prescription. Then I received a phone call right before I was heading to an appointment (I have wasted days and several hours with no success to order my contacts) and the same person who sent the first link asked if I was able to order my contacts. I told her that I didn't have time at this point. So today, I tried again and kept getting an error. This has been the most inefficient process and unacceptable experience I have ever had to simply order contacts. It should have never taken this long. What a joke.

With so many different optometry services in Bellevue, it can be difficult to choose where to go. But I decided to switch over to The Eyecare Center due to its convenient location and positive reviews, which I stand by. It's very easy to make an appointment online, which is a big factor for any kind of health care services. I've been in situations where I've had to wait forever to get an appointment and/or could only schedule an appointment with someone on the phone, which can be difficult since my schedule is very busy. For me to schedule it myself, it's very easy to do online as I can plan out and also, easily cancel when need be. The Eyecare Center also takes VSP insurance. The Eyecare Center is located near the Bellevue Botanical Garden in the Wilburton neighborhood, and is right off of NE 8th street, which is easy to get to, with plenty of parking in the private lot. There's also the B line bus stop right in front of it, making it accessible for all. Staff are always friendly and I always see the same eye doctor. The annual exam takes about an hour with the usual eye tests, dilation, etc. They do also sell eyewear here. No complaints about The Eyecare Center.

He and also scheduled me so that I was the only person at his facility for my appointment. Beyond these safety measures, the exam was very easy to do and he explained everything so thoroughly that I never had to question whether or not the resulting prescription was going to be accurate or not. He explained beforehand what he was looking for, and what he needed from me, which made everything very painless throughout the entire exam. The equipment was clean and well taken care of, the exam itself was completely painless and by far the easiest I had done and I've been wearing contacts or glasses for decades now. He was very transparent in going over the costs, and explained his recommendations. I felt heard and validated and cared for. The selection of frames at his facility left me so many options to look at, with both the simple and the fashion-forward. Anything that I handled, he made sure to sanitize as well. My two new pairs of glasses and my contacts help me see perfectly, it's everything I had hoped for and more. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I almost wish I could visit more than annually. Dr. Durant is a lovely person and you will feel like a well-cared for patient in his hands.

I'm disgusted every time I see that Pearle Vision office.
