I am a traveling Canadian stopping in for a beer and OMG what an experience. Our Bartender Jasmine took care of us as we drank $3 American beers and watched American Sports including the Nascar all star game which was curated by the house barfly Kenny. After the sports were done, Kenny stumbled out and the Karaoke team set up. If I could give this place 50 stars I wouldn't flinch I travel ALOT for work and let me tell you I'm a karaoke man through and through this place has the best vibes the friendliest customers and staff even better then any place in my home state THE OWNER is behind the bar and when I tell you this man can do it all I've never seen a bartender make 4 separate orders (multiple drinks) WHILE SINGING !!!!! folks this establishment is definitely highly recommended in my books I NEVER post to yelp but I only wanted to stay for a couple drink then leave but I stayed until 0100 AM every bartender here loves their job and loves there community security is attendive to what needs handled PROPERLY ! Been coming here for months and all of a sudden they're charging a $1.50 per drink upcharge for ICE, and claiming it's a "standard bar upcharge." Never in my life have I seen a bar charge additional funds for any non-alcoholic addition to your drink, whether it be ice, soda, or lemon wedges. So for this questionable practice I can say they've lost a customer and gained a poor review unless they are willing to rectify this situation accordingly. Not that losing one customer will hurt them substantially, but I'm sure they will lose more customers after people start seeing this review. I'm assuming my (normally) $5 Jack Daniels would've turned into a $9.50 drink had I asked for ice, coke, and a lemon wedge in it. Good luck, Overland Bar. No establishment I've ever known in my lifetime charges $1.50 for ice in your drink. Sad thing is, I was praising your bar to another customer this same night for your reasonable prices. read more

We looove this bar!!!! Only been here a few months but this has become our spot! Kurtis is fantastic as is Doug! They have karaoke most nights and the host Bobby Ray is a great guy as well as host.....this is a normal "dive bar" type of place, but the people who work here make it the best dive bar ever!!!!! It should be noted before you read any further that I'm a very, very big fan of dive bars. With that in mind, you'll find that I'll give glowing remarks for...odd features. So, without further ado: The Overland Bar is aptly named, sitting directly off of Overland (as does the Vista Bar, Broadway Bar, etc etc). It's a dimly lit, cash only establishment with karaoke, pool, and shuffleboard available as entertainment. It isn't a large bar, but the size lends to its sense of intimacy. The locals (including myself) are friendly and most often several Amberbock's deep when you meet them. The most unique aspect of the Overland Bar though, and what sets it apart from other drinking holes in the area, are the velvet paintings of topless women residing on each side of the bar. Classic. Wonderful. High-five. I knocked one star off for the lack of credit card payment. I understand it costs money to process credit/debit cards, but it's 2015 and I almost never carry cash. A cheap hole in the wall with only three beers on tap. Two of those are Bud and Coors, with one rotating between alternative domestic and macrobrew. Definitely serves the Walmart crowd. Felt like a bar brawl was going to break out at any time. read more

Curtis is the Friday night bartender and karaoke king. He's an incredible bar tender and the place is small enough that he has time to interact with the patrons. If you're looking for a pinkies-up establishment, this isn't for you. This place is a dive bar from way back but it doesn't claim to be anything else. It's simple, drinks are good and the regulars are friendly. The only reason they get 4 stars, No credit cards and bad wine (please find a better wine option). read more

This bar is for the trashy. The service, attitude and quality is the worst of the worst. Definitely a dive bar, but the worst thing about it is that dive bars usually serve a decent drink.
