There are a lot of sporting activities to offer, such as basketball in one room, hockey which includes ice and roller skating as well, and an indoor field that holds baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and even frisbee as well with even more names to list. There are many sporting activities to do here, and this is the place to come for get-togethers and/or just to hang out. Overall, a great place to visit. I hate this place for playing roller hockey. Nothing works here including the refs. The most…read moreunprofessional run facility I have ever been to. There was one time during a hockey game that a ref was sitting down eating during a game instead of out on the rink. I yelled over and asked him to ref the game he was paid to do and he proceeded to curse back at me with a lot of foul language. He still works there. Management is constantly contacted and nothing changes. This week a ref offered to get me a chair while I walked past him. He was only able to do that because he was standing in the penalty box on his cell phone while the puck was in play. I replied I want you to ref I don't want a chair. They are paid $25 for 40 mins of socializing, eating, and just skating away from a game in play. During the same game the other ref was hanging on the goal post the entire game talking with the goalie and not paying attention to the whole game. I have never seen a place that is a free for all for the employees and they have no manager around making sure they are doing what they are supposed to do. As long as they collect the money from all the teams the facility is still left in the dirty run down condition that it has been in for years. Hundreds of dollars taken from each team and they cannot afford to fix the score board so you can read the numbers? Several bulbs are out and just left without repair.

I have got so many flags , jerseys etc from here . Worth the price . They have both the original versions (expensive ones) and regular items (not so expensive) . Quality is good either ways . Prior to the pandemic, my oldest daughter had attended the school, so I am able to compare. My first daughter's pre-pandemic experience there was good, however my second daughter's experience was terrible. It started with a few months after enrolling her there I found out for two months they had been serving her the frozen lunch I was sending her to school with. They were no longer heating up lunches in the microwave like my first daughter. I found out from my second daughter telling me why she didn't eat her lunch "it was too cold." For two months they had been giving her frozen chicken nuggets and it was my fault (after confronting them) because we did not see the message that lunches were no longer being heated. Next, when I would pick up my daughter the teacher, or helper was coming out and saying she had a bad day today. I was clueless until after a few weeks of this she refused to go back (and I mean refused). She had lost all confidence to go anywhere or see any strangers. It was terrible. We took her to see help and we were told that she had gone through a regression, like a three-year-old going back to a one and a half year old. Confronted the school and they said it was her fault, she doesn't listen and goes around the classroom. That sounded like all three year old to us. We asked the school for her teacher to meet us and show affection to her, but she was cold to her. We felt so bad for her we took her out of the school. It took us months to bring her confidence and self esteem back. When I grew up a three year old was accepted unconditionally and supported to stand on their own. Not so at this place.

Some picnic space, but I don't use it. Very woodsy for a park surrounded on all sides by houses, but I like it, especially for fall and spring flowering, scavenger hunting, and plenty of shade on a hot, sunny summer day. Always an option in getting out of the house for fresh air and exercise.

Our family is definitely fans of Union Sports Arena! My kids play for the travel hockey team (boys,…read moreand girls teams) here, and the program is truly top-notch. The coaches are dedicated, and there is such a positive, high-energy atmosphere every time we walk through the doors. One of the nicer parts about this rink is the Living Room Café upstairs. It is a total game-changer for hockey parents! It's fully heated with a perfect bird's-eye view of the ice, so you can stay warm while watching the game. The food is actually really good--much better than your typical rink snacks--and it's the perfect spot to grab a coffee and catch up with other parents. The location is also incredibly convenient. It's tucked right behind the Best Buy and Starbucks off Route 22, which makes it easy to grab a quick coffee on the way in or run a few errands during practice. If you're looking for a great hockey community and a parent-friendly facility in Union County, this is definitely the place to be!
