I shopped here many years ago as a kid. Larry and Don are great. I was a goalie and Larry used to have my try on 4 or 5 pairs of gloves. He would rifle balls at me in the store to make sure I liked the fit and feel of the gloves. He always took the time to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. You can't get that from online shopping. I just stopped by this past weekend to buy some new turf shoes. I brought my 2 year old son with me. And the staff basically started a small sided game with him in the store. It was great. It is stores like this that continue to help the growth of soccer in the US. Congrats on 30 years! read more

I don't normally like writing a review until I visit a place more than once. But I had a very positive experience. I was sent here because my daughter has wide feet and soccer cleats run narrow. The guy was very knowledgable and we were able to find a pair for her. Those other stores may have better prices but when you ask them a detailed question, they have no idea. I went here yesterday because it was on the way to a game after work. I called first to see if they had what I wanted in stock, size 7.5 copas. They did and had them ready for me when I got there. Great, quick customer service. As I was checking out, I checked to make sure they were both the correct size, and they were. When I get to the fields, I laced up the shoes how I wanted them, and put on the first cleat only to find that they were both left cleats. I had not brought others with me, knowing I was going to buy some after work, and did not have time to dive 30 minutes back to the store and then 30 minutes to the fields. It's a mistake, I get it. But I'd paid for my league, so I lost money in not being able to play in the game. The I had to go back to the store to replace the second left cleat for a right one, and they were not willing to give even a 10% discount. I have not owned a retail store, but have worked at them, and just feel like it was terrible service. read more

We came across this place by accident. We stopped in the shopping center for food on our way to Hershey Park. My daughter needed some new soccer cleates, so we stopped in to check out the place. We found the staff very friendly and patient. Took their time to get a good fit...not trying to rush us out and move on to the next customer. We're not from the area, but if we were we'd definately be return customers. Mail order is great...but we all need to support our local sports shops. read more

Really real sports people, Had an LAX stick that needed fixing, on the spot, gave me prices on new heads v's sticks. and fixed my (son's) stick, gratis... I was impressed. This place has stellar customer service. I called them for an item. It wasn't in stock, so rather than stop there, the employee (or owner, not sure!) offered to check his warehouse and have it driven into the store. It was one measly $5. item, but they went out of their way to stock it so I wouldn't have to schlep to Target and waste my time and sanity. read more

Can't say how vital this place has been to me going through the various sports, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse... as another poster stated I was a customer for at least 20 years or so. I remember getting my first pair of cleats from the smaller location. Throughout the years they have supplied anything from tape to my sticks as well as strung heads for me repaired who knows how much equipment. When I wanted to become a goalie, they outfitted me as well as even took the time to assure my mom that I wouldn't sustain any crazy injuries. This is the store I always recommend! This is the quintessential soccer shop in my world!!! I began shopping at Kicks N Sticks almost 30 years ago (I was 5 and think I bought my first pair of boots here) when they were in their first location, across the shopping center and upstairs. They have grown over the years and moved to their current location, which is larger and able to accommodate larger inventory, more customers and has higher visibility. Everyone that I have encountered there has been awesome, but Larry, one of the owners has become a part of my family. Every time I go back home, I come up with something to purchase there to support their endeavor. They are professional, knowledgeable and really into the most beautiful game. I cannot sing their praises enough. They are only pricey in that they carry a full range of equipment to serve those on a budget or the fanatics who may be purchasing the top end. Their prices are fair and competitive. I love spending my money here because I always feel like I've come home. They encourage trying things on and taking the time to get a feel. (I know this is what sold my parents when they were buying boots for me, because we didn't know much about the sport back then.) By far the greatest soccer shop I have EVER set foot in. They don't have women's sizes of anything in the store, they are only available for bulk order. Which first of all means that you can't try anything on before you order with your team, and secondly if you need another item it is not available. Also, if you order with your team, especially at the end of the year, they frequently do not have many sizes available (both men and women's). The man who was at the desk the times that I have gone said that "men's small is the same as women's medium", which is absolutely not true. It's like they think that women don't play sports, and that no winter teams need warm ups. read more

A little pricey but worth it. All they do is soccer and lacrosse but they do it better than anyone. If you are looking for equipment, clothing or service (restringing lacrosse sticks, for example) for either of those two sports this is the last store you'll ever need. read more

Knowledgeable staff that plays the game and knows what they're talking about, as opposed to just sales people trying to move a particular product off the shelf. You might find a slightly better price for gear online but you won't find the knowledge base and experience that puts you in the right gear to begin with. read more
