Scheduled a time with them last Friday and they had availability and we scheduled a date and time. Erik said 8-9AM on Tuesday (this morning). Before they arrived, I moved all the potted plants a good distance away from the palm tree. I also covered two plants that I couldn't move with a garbage can to protect them. The palm tree leaves fall a good distance and will mess up anything they fall onto. I also created a small path in our backyard for them to walk through. Erik and his crew arrived promptly at 9AM. Erik brought 2 people with him. Ivan was the one going up and cutting off the leaves. Salvador was the one carrying leaves off to the trailer in front of our driveway. Before they started work, they laid down a large tarp to catch most of the debris. Erik's whole crew was very courteous and professional. They worked quickly and cleanly - the backyard was either in the same or slightly cleaner condition than when they started. From start to finish, the job took about an hour and 45 minutes. They're very efficient! We also had quite a few palm tree leaves that fell from our neighbor's tree. They helped haul away those as well. Jose came out and was extremely conscientious and discussed ways we could keep the willow if we wanted. He even gave us different quotes to reflect our options. We decided removal was the best choice, and he was flexible in his quote to come closer to other companies I spoke with. The crew arrived right on time and were extremely efficient. I was worried the willow would be difficult to safely take down, but they were very safe in climbing the tree. They also cut the oaks completely back from hanging over our roof, and ground multiple stumps we had around our yard. They were finished in less than 5 hours and cleaned the worksite very well - they even cleared a brush pile we had from some trimming we had done ourselves the week before. I'm very pleased with the work Madriz did, and would absolutely use them again. We have a lot of future projects in mind that they would be a great fit for.

He came to my house and provided a quote to which I agreed. He indicated his crew would be there either the next day or the day after that. I stayed home both days and he never showed or called or texted. I texted him asking why he hadn't come or called or texted about the job and never received a response. His crews have been working the roads, possibly for PGE, and I saw them out working while I was waiting for him to contact me. I'm guessing he is too busy or something, who knows? --- I ended up going with another local company [insert deleted company] and was very happy with their service.

We needed a big fig tree removed from our SF backyard. One complication was the small doorway from the garage made it hard to fit a stump grinder. Jason was easy to talk to and clearly knew what he was doing. Other companies hand-waved around things like getting the grinder through but he took measurements and considered alternatives. He was able to do the service the next business day after we confirmed the quote. On the day of, they were prompt and personable. They encountered some unexpected challenges but rolled with it, which I really appreciated.
