    On February 10, 2026 I went with my father-in-law to Specialty Medical to purchase an electric…read morewheelchair. I was the one communicating with the owner, Doug, during the visit and he even texted me the receipt directly while I was standing there in the store. Within a day or two, around February 12th, we decided to cancel the order. From that point forward we spent weeks calling and trying to get a refund. On March 12th I texted Doug again regarding the refund. Screenshots of that conversation are included with this review. In those messages he discussed giving a partial refund and repeatedly asked that we remove the review. On Friday March 13th I personally went back to the store and picked up cash from Doug in the amount of $2,355. Even then the full amount was not refunded despite the order being cancelled almost immediately after the purchase. After I posted my original review about the experience, Doug began calling and texting me asking that I delete it. I have included screenshots of those communications so people can see exactly what was said. Doug also replied publicly to my previous review claiming that I was not a customer of the business. That is not accurate. I was present in the store during the purchase, communicated directly with Doug, received the receipt from him by text, and I was the one who returned to the store to collect the refund. I have also included screenshots of the original review that was removed. People rely on reviews when making important decisions, especially when purchasing medical equipment. Because of how this situation was handled and the communication afterward asking that the review be removed, I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. All of the statements in this review reflect my direct experience with this business and the communication I personally had with the owner.     I agree with the first reviewer; simply the worse customer service in the world! My saga began in…read morelate February or early March when I had to choose a new CPAP machine and supply provider due to a change in Medicare rules. This outfit was close to me so I went there, They told me to get a prescription for CPAP supplies which I did. I brought it in and filled out the intake forms. I also brought in my old CPAP machine that had developed a problem, it would not turn on or off unless it was unplugged. i.e., the on/off switch didn't work. I was told that it would cost more to fix the machine than it would to replace it , this was Julian, and as soon as my account was set up they would look into replacing it, I was told that I would be contacted. I never was. I called again and was told that they trying to get my old records from my prior CPAP supplier, Americare, with no luck and to check back with them in a couple of weeks. I gave them my Americare customer number. In two weeks I checked back and was told they were having no luck. They gave me the name of the person they were dealing with and I told them I would call her and see if I could speed up the process. After a couple of tries I reached her and was told that she had faxed the materials to NHC. I went to NHC and the lady there confirmed that they had received the materials and they would look into getting me a new mask and a replacement machine, This was in mid-April. Not hearing from them by mid-May, I went there and found out they were closed. I called their number, spoke with Heather and got their new address. For anyone who might care, they are at 255 East Bonita Avenue # 103, Pomona, CA 91767. Telephone 909-593-6025. I went in and had words with Heather. It turns out that they don't handle CPAP supplies at that store, that I had to call Kelli at the warehouse, 626-857-9400. The warehouse is at 1280 West Lambert # B in Brea, CA 92821. Heather put a message in the computer to have Kelli call me. It also turns out that the warehouse is open spasmodically, with no regular hours. Later on that day I called Kelli and got her. Needless to say nothing had happened! Kelli claimed that they were still waiting for my file from Americare, no one had looked into ordering me a machine, or a mask, or had called me to tell me there was still a problem. I asked to speak to her boss, and was told that the owners name was Mark. I asked that he call me. That was May 23. No one called. I told them that I wanted all of my materials returned that I was going to another provider. Kelli told me that they would be at the store on Tuesday (today). Today I called Kelli and left a message for her or Mark to call me, and then called Heather at the store and was told that nothing had been received as of yet and that Kelli would call me when the materials were sent. I am not holding my breath! Stay away from this outfit! Medicare is my next party to complain to.
