I picked up pain medication for my aunt who's having surgery. She had six dollars in coupons so I went to make a purchase since they would expire before she had a chance to leave her home again. I thought I would surprise her with ice cream since she's bummed about being out of commission. The machine for self checkout wasn't working when I was taken to the register. They were giving me a hard time saying the phone number did not match. It was just printed at the pharmacy. I had the extra Care card to scan, but they said I needed the phone number.. the only two phone numbers that have ever been on file or her personal cell phone and her deceased husbands and neither of those worked. She has come to this location, countless times for her prescription and never had an issue.. due to this experience we will be switching to another pharmacy altogether. I have worked in retail before, and it would've been as simple as marking the item down and honoring the price, but instead they gave up when it is their system that is having the issue. Came in to do photos I had 150 photos to do after working on the machine for 30 minutes. Guy comes up to me and says that doesn't work for instant printing. You have to wait an hour so I did it left for an hour came back still not ready. Left came back still not ready Then I tried to put my promo code in so I get them for $.15 apiece instead of 32 and couldn't get it done. The girl on the front desk couldn't help me. She said she couldn't do anything and my daughter needed those pictures today. We ended up having to leave with no pictures and my daughter are very upset very unhappy my daughter cried all the way home!!! Good job cvs read more

Although the store itself is a older building, they have managed to have good lighting well stocked shelves, a nice variety. They do have some food and beverages but not too much. They do have a pharmacy inside, although I have yet to use that one. Plenty of parking handicap parking in front. They have a photo department there a staff that I have run into so far has been friendly. read more

We were waiting to pick up a prescription after sitting at urgent care for an hour. It was 8:00 PM and there were multiple employees behind the counter and zero customers waiting. We waited for 10 minutes while one employee was complaining about her work schedule and another employee. One finally told us they would be right with us. Then turned to finish listening to the complaining employee about her schedule! We were finally helped, again, no other customers, and were told it was going to be 20-25 minutes. They continued to gossip loudly and it made us so uncomfortable due to the nature of the conversation related to days off, scheduling and being angry at a coworker. Al's, my daughter was extremely uncomfortable waiting for the pharmacist while the angry employee continued ranting. This is my local pharmacy and I try to avoid it unless I need a late prescription because I get terrible customer service every time but tonight was epic. read more

I was very sick thanks to catching something from my kid. I went up to the pharmacist and asked for Sudafed. She said I had to go to theother pharmacist line. Ok fine, so I do. That pharmacist suggested I get sudafed and clairitin d for my symptoms. Great! But then she said I had to go back in the original line, which now had 4 people in it. I was pretty annoyed but what can you do. So I waited, and when I got there it was a different pharmacist, an older lady with a crabby attitude. When I asked for the medicines, she told me to go back in the other line, again. I was exasperated, I explained that I had already done so and kept getting bounced back and forth. She said "Do you want the medicine?" I said yes. She raised her hand pointing at the other line and said in a snappy tone "Then go get it" My lord. You better believe I got it, at the Walgreens in San Dimas, which is much closer plus the helpful and kind pharmacist there was able to recommend a medicine that had both properties of sudafed and clairitin so I only needed one pill. This happened less than 12 hours ago and I already feel much better absolutely no thanks to this awful CVS read more

Probably some of the worst staff in the pharmacy. One guy specifically who seems to be one of the pharmacists inside, I should have gotten his name but I was in a hurry. I drove about 6 miles because I was trying to find a place where I can throw away unused medication and this location has a recycling bin for medication. I asked nicely where it was and the guy told me to just come back next week, I'm not sure why I was told to come back next week and I walked a few steps and saw that there was a bin that you're supposed to put the medication in, when I asked him why he didn't just tell me where it was, he said it was full, I checked twice and it was clearly not full. Whoever this employee was clearly just didn't want to do his job, I wasn't even really asking him to do anything other than just to tell me where to put the medication. Some of these employees really do need some training on customer service. It's completely understandable why this CVS is completely run down and most likely we'll go out of business soon because whoever is managing it has no idea how to hire people that understand basic customer service. The employee that I spoke to insisted that I come back next week, he was not able to provide any information as to why or when the medication is usually picked up to be recycled, he assumed by himself that it was already filled up, anyway, if you are buying medication I would highly advise you to just stay away from location and just drive the extra mile or two hopefully you can deal with some friendly people. read more

So sad. My family and I have been shopping here for 25 plus years. Not the cheapest store in town so obviously we have contributed quite a bit to CVS. Sunday I was checking out and for the 3rd and final time I had Charlene as cashier. She is always rude never says thank you. Just says "phone number"? I ask about my receipt she points at the monitor for me to take my choice for my receipt. Wow. In the past I thought maybe she had a bad day. If I could give this pharmacy no stars I would the CVS pharmacy chain since closing down the San Dimas location has gone downhill. The customer service has never improved or recovered after the downsizing despite giving them several chances. I have had 3 different prescriptions that never get filled due to reasons that my insurance needs authorization or that I need to give my MD a call causing multiple delays of receiving my meds. I realized it was CVS staff and their system once I transferred my prescriptions to Walmart pharmacy who had no issues with my insurance and received them the next day. This is the worst pharmacy ever. They don't care if you are out of a Cardiac medication or if you need to get a pain prescription filled after an outpatient surgery. They take three or four days no matter how urgent something is. I have good PPO insurance and I can't imagine what they do to people with MediCal or an HMO. FIND A PHARMACY THAT CARES. I went to my doctor today and I usually go to a different cvs but I sent it to this one. I go in and they don't have all 3 of my prescriptions. So I have her call my doctors and while she is doing it this old lady with brown hair who isn't even a pharmacist is giving me attitude and belittling me saying we don't have it that I'm wrong. So after the phone call says it's going to be 1 hour for my other 2 prescriptions cause they only had one I come back 2 hours later and they still don't have them ready saying they don't have them on file when I just went through this whole process already. Don't ever use their pharmacy delivery service. They never take responsibility for any lost or undelivered medication. They make you pay out of pocket for it. So don't be surprised if you get stuck with a 1,000 dollar bill. I've never heard of a business that does not take responsibility for their delivery especially that they advertise for it and make it available on their website. Never mind the fact that they have already charged you and your insurance for the medicine. Corporate greed at its best. No wonder they get a two star rating for customer satisfaction. Very disappointing service... enough to leave a bad review. The customer service I experienced here was terrible. I asked for assistance on a coupon I received recently from T-Mobile for a free magnet and I was completely given incorrect instructions and told to complete this online... when this ended up requiring me to download an app & completing my order on there.. The two ladies in the front were very rude when I asked for help & then after I placed the order one of them yelled at me asking when I had placed the order, when I asked how long it would take to print.. both women had rude and sarcastic responses. The same lady who yelled at me on the front and prepared my order/ magnet didn't even make it right half of the photo is not even sticking to the magnet Just disappointing, don't expect help from here.. will not be coming here again. read more

My Personal Physician put in an order for medication during the start of the week. The pharmacy received the order & stated they could not give me the medication until the weekend on Saturday. I call in Saturday morning & the pharmacist tells me they are out of the medication & that's it's been back ordered for months. The pharmacy should have notified me earlier of this. This pharmacy is not reliable & I would not trust getting my medication filled &/or refilled here. read more

We had just come directly from urgent care to get antibiotics and arrived at pharmacy at 9:01pm (seriously 9:01pm, no joke) and were told they couldn't help us because they closed at 9pm. The service here is the worst I've ever experienced at a pharmacy. The things you have to do to get someone on the phone are ridiculous. Menu after menu , 15 min on hold only to have them hang up on you, twice ! Then I called back the next day, same thing. Click 1 for this 2 for that etc...it went on & on for 10 to 15 min. Press 0 for an operator. Yeah right, you get put on hold and then ...dialtone. the bastards hang up on you ! I'm transferring ALL my prescriptions somewhere else ! read more

This is the local CVS to our home so we are actually there quite often. Mostly for prescriptions. I have to admit sometimes the waits in the pharmacy can be horrible. Way longer than promised. But, not really worse than if you have to go to the front register. The staff can be quite surly at times and there is virtually no help if you have trouble finding anything just give up and there just is no staff to come help you. Where is the zero stars button? I stopped by after an hour drive after work and needed to get my child cold medicine. It's 845 pm. I ask to use their bathroom. The employees say no because they close the bathrooms at 600 pm. "The pharmacist needs to buzz you into to use the bathroom. They close the pharmacy at 600. " really? At a pharmacy where ill people go get their prescription there is no bathroom after 600 pm? So if the customer needs a restroom, and the customer is ill they prefer to clean vomit and other body fluids than to open a bathroom to a paying customer? I'm never coming back to this CVS, and will tell others about your horrible customer service. read more

We just switched over medical insurance and unfortunately our new pharmacy is now CVS. If I could rate this pharmacy a negative, I would. We have been there a few times since January and every experience has been HORRIBLE! They people working the pharmacy act as if they don't care and when you ask them a question, they seem bothered. Our most recent visit, our doctor sent over a prescription at 5 pm Saturday. We decided not to pick it up to till the following morning since they closed at 6 pm Saturday. They open at 10 am on Sunday's, so we called at 10:10 am to confirm if they had received the prescription. They told us 40 minutes, we went in at 11:40 and 1 1/2 later and we still had to wait!!! We gonna try a different CVS, hopefully there is an improvement!! read more

Was told an hour till it was ready for pick up , 15 minutes later it'll be ready in 30 minutes, AND THEN 10 MINS LATER ITLL BE READY IN 30 MINUTES. I purchased a Vanilla Visa Gift Card back in May for Mothers Day. My in law barely tried to use it last week but was told it was not activated. I never saved my receipt assuming the card was properly activated by store clerk. I was told by Visa it was never activated to talk to store. I went to the store and all I got from them was "without receipt there is nothing they can do." It was very clear that CVS took the money out of my bank account because I have proof. Do you think they care no! So now I have to wait til Monday to speak to someone at corporate. The chances of them giving me back my money is zero. I was upset that my primary doctor couldn't help me with the questions I had and Joe really helped me out with some concerns I had and made me feel better. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! They will accuse you of stealing! I asked for the price on a Mission Cooling Neck Gaiter and scanned it at their price scanner machine and it was too much so I decided to put the item back on the shelf. Then I took an empty cardboard box from the same shelf and put it in my bag. I then went to look around in the back of the store and picked up a different item which I took to the pharmacy registers to pay. Irma asks me "Do you want to pay for everything else up front?" My response was "I only have one item." Then Irma says "Are you sure you didn't put anything else in that bag?" Because I was carrying a bag. I told Irma "No, all I have is this empty cardboard box and this one item." After I'm done paying for my one item, I go up to Irma and ask her if she wants to look in my bag and she says "No, we thought you took that other thing (the neck gaiter)." I work in another major retail store and one of my biggest policies is to never accuse customers of stealing! Never coming back here again unless I absolutely have to.
