We almost have my entire sleeve done and each touch of the needle constantly produces amazing mind blowing results. I've gone to Oxblood several times now and I think I have four pieces done by Frankie now. He was also the guy I went to for my first tattoo. The shop itself is a super cool vibe. All the artists themselves are insanely talented and really give top quality ink. But really, Frankie has gone above and beyond every time. He makes sure I'm comfortable, he'll put movies or music on, makes sure you've eaten or rested. He's also available for any questions or advice after the fact. 10/10. I have been getting work done by Frankie at Oxblood since 2021. His style is clean and vibrant. He's always professional, attentive and wicked chill. He works with me to figure out what would look best where and there's never an idea that's too much. I usually give him a general idea of what I want for my tattoos and pass on the creative control because I trust his work. 10 tattoos later and I've not been disappointed once. Atmosphere: 10/10. Where do I start?! From the moment you walk into the shop, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the beautiful and inviting decor of the shop. Not to mention the cleanliness, which all 3 of the artist pride themselves on. All three of the artists are extremely kind, polite, & talented. If you look through their portfolios you'll find the artist the best fit you. Even if the artist doesn't normal do a piece or style you want, they will work hard to create something you love! My first four tattoos were done by Russel, the owner of the shop. He was very thorough with answering all of my questions and concerns at the consultation when we planned out the details for my appointment. He has always made me feel comfortable the entire time. He actually sketched the tree on me versus doing a stencil so it was perfectly tailored to me. Love all the work he has created with me and done for me! Every year the guys do a tattoo fundraiser for Lyme's disease that has affected one of their friends and pets. At this event they offer pre-designed flash for minimum donations of $80 I believe. I have two smaller ones and a medium piece from Frankie. Frankie also always made me feel comfortable. And I love all the pieces he has done for me. Chris Mead is a great artist!!!! Very meticulous and very very good with detail. Would highly recommend all artists at this shop for a great tattoo. I went to oxblood at the recommendation of my sister and I am happy to say I am not disappointed. This is a relatively new tattoo studio but I think it's going be around for a while. I called on a Wednesday night asking if they could do a walk in and they said yes! So I packed up my sister and headed down there. The shop itself is well decorated and cozier than other shops I've been to. Located in Severna Park, kind of in a weird place, the business center behind a McDonalds. Once I arrived they said they could take me and I needed to pick an artist. I looked through all 3 artists books and choose Frankie. I loved what I saw. Everyone there but especially Frankie, was: kind, polite, respectful, and considerate. I had him redo the stencil twice and he didn't even blink an eye about it. I asked him to do watercolor behind my tattoo and he did an amazing job. I didn't know what to expect because it wasn't part of the stencil but he really did a fantastic job. Went to get my cartilage pierced, he told me it would be $30 for the piercing, and another $30 for the jewlrey, which was fine, but he was very unspecific about what jewlrey costed what. He eventually managed to insult all of my other piercings and called the people who did them idiots... told me that I couldn't use what I had been using for the rest of my peircings and they would cause cancer. My total came up to $95... needless to say I will NEVER be back. read more

I am relatively new to tattoos. I got my first tattoo at a well known shop in Baltimore City and had a very poor experience. I felt like I was an annoyance to them instead of a customer. For someone new to ink, this was very disappointing. I start off by saying that because I had the exact opposite experience at Oxblood. Russell was fantastic, as were the other guys there, but Russell was my artist. He gave me a consultation where he listened to my ideas and provided suggestions. It turned into a conversation about the pieces and I felt like he was able to capture exactly what I was looking for. He sketched out what we discussed and it was perfect. His ability to make me feel comfortable and to assure that all of my questions were answered was awesome. The shop was so clean it felt like I was in a sterile operating room. Russell did the tattoo in almost the exact time he estimated and it turned out better than I had imagined, and also better than all the images I researched before going in. The whole experience from start to finish was outstanding. I cannot recommend Oxblood enough. I will definitely be going back. Oh, they were also significantly less expensive than the popular Baltimore City shop and provided much better quality and customer service. As long as I am able to make conscious decisions I will only go to Josh Morrow for my piercings. If you see me going to anyone else, slap me because I've clearly been possessed. Josh is one of, if not THE, best body modifiers in the US. He's extremely knowledgeable on all topics when it comes to body modification and is super willing to share that knowledge to those willing to learn. Whenever I got a new piercing he went through how it was done, how it heals and what to do to have it heal correctly. Anytime I had an issue or question with a piercing, I was able to message him through Facebook and within an hour he had gotten back to me on the best course of action to take with it. I have had piercings by others that have rejected and were done incorrectly, but that is never the case with Josh. I never second-guess anything he says because, like I said, he's extremely knowledgeable and trust-worthy. Josh is also one of the nicest and most down to earth people I've ever met which makes it that much easier to have him put holes in my skin. He's super creative with placement and even the jewelry he uses, always looking for the next unique thing, which makes having work by him super awesome. He treats each client as if their piercing is the most important piercing to him, which is a really good and easy feeling. I have a lot of up-coming projects Josh and I have spoken about and I cannot wait to get them done!
