It costs a bit extra for a lake view cabin, but there is a wall of trees between some of the cabins and the lake so there is not necessarily an actual lake view. There was not even a path through the trees and brush that would allow us to walk down to the waters edge from our cabin. We ended up going to the lodge where there actually is a lake view for a while to sit on a bench and walk along the lake edge for a bit. There was a very noticeable musty smell in the cabin. When we noticed the musty smell and the lack of lake view we tried to call the service desk to ask if there was any chance of changing to a different accommodation, but we were put on hold for a long while before we could talk to anyone. Instead of waiting any longer for an answer we decided to just settle for the cabin we had. In the morning when we wanted to get up and take showers before heading out we discovered that our cabin had no hot water. We were able to reach the desk at that point to ask if there was something we needed to switch on to get the how water to work and they did offer to send maintenance down. However we really just wanted to head home at that point instead of waiting longer to see if it could be fixed. It was an overall unsatisfactory stay.

I will admit my favorite part was getting a yummy omelet made to order. Service was amazing and the place was very clean. Everyone was professional and took great care of everyone. I didn't take pictures but wish I had, since the view was of the lake right outside the lodge, I could see myself coming back again for something other than a buffet, remember I said I am not a buffet fan, well this one didn't make me like them any more but it was clean and lots of options. Was it good, yes. Was the food amazing, not to me, again not a buffet fan. It is quiet in here, but not dead silent so you feel uncomfortable talking. The bottom floor is spacious and has a lot of seating with windows all across the walls that bring in a lot of natural light. The second floor has some study rooms if you need somewhere for a group meeting or to hang out with some friends. The people who work in Crossroads are some of the nicest people that I have ever met and this will definitely become your next favorite place to study and do work!

Impressed by the offerings as well as the wine and beer lists, lots of craft selections including IPAs. Bartendress was well dressed, polite, and knowledgeable, which is so important. Some years back this was strictly a 'wine bar' with small plates and snacks, but they've evolved into a comfortable cocktail lounge with a full dinner menu. Entrees looked appealing (not so much the apps) and I'm hoping to be back here tomorrow for dinner and an update.
