I was taken here by a friend and her family for dinner, and I was originally concerned after looking at their menu online and not seeing near to nothing for vegetarian/vegans. Do not fear, they have curated an entire vegan menu that you can request inside! There were a lot of salads on there, but also a good amount of warm dinners to explore (bonus, they're less expensive!). The waitress was extremely hospitable and kept up with the table well, and even talked to us for a bit once we were a couple drinks in. The Moscow mule was crafted well, it is always a favorite of mine. It was a great environment to have interpersonal conversations and enjoy one another's company.

I want to love Cru. I'm a oeneophile who is a "townie" in Oxford. And while it is the most serious attempt at a wine bar in the town, it still misses the mark. I posted photo shoots of the menus tonight. See for yourself. I think their beer menu is fantastic, and their food menu quite good. Yet this is advertised as a wine bar. And there are no decent wines by the glass. You've gotta be kidding me, right? No, see for yourself. They have a very decent retail bottle store attached in the back. But if you wanna come in and partake in the place by the glass as a "bar," you can have....Cline ancient vines Zinfandel??!! Really? When you have Nickel and Nickel in back??? Now I understand full well that we are a college town, and many of your patrons only will want a glass of white Zin. I get that your menu must mainly be less expensive glasses. But really, if you're going to put yourselves out there as a wine bar, you actually have to have at least a couple decent wines available by the glass. I will certainly come again for the food and beer. Which is in a way ironic, if they continue to bill themselves as a wine bar. Think about it... Beer- five stars. Food- 3.5 stars. Wine- two stars. Waitstaff- two stars. Both for being friendly. No points awarded for knowledge, as they couldn't describe a single wine or beer on the menu. Couldn't even tell us whether a given beer with an ambiguous name was an amber or a stout. I'm not kidding. But the place is new. And I think it could become great. We really hope so.

The board was served quickly and was very good! This is such a cute little place and I think it would make a perfect date night! It really got my birthday night kicked off perfectly!!

You can stop by whenever you feel the need to taste some wine, tequila or bourbon Hannah, the manger, is so sweet. She reminds me of Joanna Gaines. She's one of those people you feel like you know and want to be around. Just a beauty inside and out. She was the only one there and had a few guests to help and she said she was having a bad day but you'd never know. She made my bf and I feel more than welcome and took care of us. We got a small charcuterie with nuts, meats and cheeses and added olives. The charcuterie was not what I was expecting from a winery. It was more of an adult lunchable than charcuterie. The cheese was like that precut Cracker Barrel cheese found in the store. I would have like to have had some freshly grated parmesan or mozzarella. Something that would pair well with the wines. I'm not a fan of Swiss. Love Colby jack and cheddar but those don't really go with the wines I had. I got a flight of white wines that are numbered in my 2nd picture. They were all pretty good but 1 & 4 were my favorites. I was able to taste a new wine slush they're offering. I chose the red wine slush over the white moscato one. I fell in love with it. I tried to get one to go but was unable to due to them not having approved to go containers for them My boyfriend got a flight of premium bourbon which he enjoyed. There are lots of cosy places inside and out to sit and sip your favorite drink. We did leave with a bottle of the # 4 wine I liked and garlic sausage though. I will definitely return for a slush!!

You can either walk through the gun center or enter at the rear / side of the building. Either way it is a bit of a walk so could be a concern for anyone with mobility issues. I was surprised that there were not any disabled parking spots close to the side entrance. It's a large lounge, upscale and beautifully decorated though does not have an intimate feel. Majority of seating is tables vs. bar. The cocktail menu is unique and fun, with the different drinks named after famous and infamous gunslingers. I had a Baby Face Nelson which was attractive and delicious. At first I though it was a little weak but towards the end it hit with a bang (see what I did there). I also took advantage of the ladies night menu and got a $5 cucumber mint G&T. The cocktail pricing is what you'd expect, ranging from $12 to $16. The wine list is not extensive and I would not describe this as a wine bar. But, I would come here seeking a fancy cocktail anyway. No food served, but door dash menus are available and there is also a limited menu for direct delivery from the Indian restaurant across the road. The outdoor patio looks nice. We were there on the earlier side, around 5 PM on a weekday. Service was pretty attentive with only one waitress handling the tables. I think if they found a way to serve some simple appetizers and put in a railing along the walkway from the parking lot to the door (thinking of my husband here) I'd give it five stars. They have a weird rule in that they insist on scanning your ID, regardless of age, up until 7 PM any day - this is so that no one who orders a drink can go next door and shoot (where they also scan IDs). The shooting range closes at 7 PM. So shoot first, drink later.
