My Focus was recalled for transmission issues. After a diagnostic test, I was told the part was ok, and that I had to pay for said test. However they would fix the transmission for $3,500 dollars. My car books for a similar amount. The car only had about 42,000 miles My solution is to live with the yanky transmission: while never doing business with this crappy dealership again! Consistently very challenging to work with on warranty work. Always needs vehicle for multiple days to diagnose issues that could be identified during service, and are made to feel like a criminal by constantly being threatened with the knowledge that if the warranty repairs are not covered under warranty that I will be charged for X Y and Z services and fees. Dealership has no loaners with service manager Brandon Bond claiming that they'd go out of business if they gave their customers loaners, even for warranty work that the factory would pay for. Literally every other dealership in town has loaner vehicles available. Every person in the service department has the personality of a rock. I tried to give this dealership a second chance, but this place, as well as the rest of Oxmoor Auto group has to be perpetually the most unsavory, dissatisfying racket in the city. By far the worst buying and the worst service experience I have ever had in my entire life!!!!!!!!! I took my truck (2010 F150) for service. The radio had gone out. The electrical system was acting up. They charged me over $2000 to change some of the electrical wiring, and found a cracked spring. Plus another $850+ for a new radio control module. I picked the truck up, the radio still didn't work and I had to leave town immediately to be with my DYING MOTHER! I complained about the radio and they told me I would have to leave it with them for the day because they would have to take out the control module before they would refund my money. I threw enough of a fit that they refunded that portion of my bill. The radio started working, but only intermittently. Oh, and... the service people were just downright rude and unfriendly. Then, my son's car needed work, we decided to give Oxmoor service center one more try. Why? Because I try to always give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt. The bill for service was more than my son's car was worth so, because he wanted a truck, and because I already have a work van, I gave him my old one and I bought a 2017 Volvo C60 which the sales division said passed their full 121 point inspection. I know that I should have take it to an independent mechanic for inspection, but I was leaving town the next day for 10 days on a job and my son needed to go back to UK. When I got back into town, the Volvo (which sat in front of my house while I was away) started having all sorts of problems, but I was past the time I could bring it back to Oxmoor. I took it to Volvo of Louisville and now, $5000 later, it is running AS IT SHOULD HAVE!!!!! Then today... I got a call from my son that the F150 is no longer running. So, I have him going to an independent mechanic in Lexington. I'm no mechanic, but I treat my vehicles well. Oil changes every 4000 miles. Tire rotations, fluid flushes, any time it needs anything more, I never let it go. I take care of it almost immediately. But it doesn't take a mechanic to know when you've been screwed! Suffice to say, I will never, ever again, grace the doors of Oxmoor Ford with my presence. If anyone ever asks me, I will recommend buying a car from Satan first and letting the local high school auto repair class service the thing. At least then you know what you're getting. read more

1-Star Review for Oxmoor Ford (Louisville, KY) I would give zero stars if that were an option. Our experience with Oxmoor Ford at 100 Oxmoor Ln has been completely unacceptable from start to finish. The customer service -- particularly from Lauren, Jenna, and Brandon -- was not just lacking, it was outright dismissive and unprofessional. We purchased a Volkswagen from this dealership (which turned out to be a lemon, but that's another story) and included an extended warranty. Over the weekend of July 19th, we made an appointment to have the vehicle diagnosed for a coolant leak. We spoke directly with someone at the dealership on Monday the 21st, confirmed we'd be towing the car to their lot, and explained the issue in full. Then on Tuesday, as the car was literally in transit via tow truck -- which we paid for -- we received a text message (because they insisted on communicating only via text) from Lauren stating that they don't really diagnose or work on vehicles that aren't Fords, and recommended we tow it elsewhere -- AFTER the car was already en route. When we reminded her that we bought the car from them, and had already confirmed this appointment, her response was essentially, "We'll try, but no promises -- we're not VW certified." This lack of transparency should have been addressed on Monday, not after we spent time, money, and effort getting the vehicle to them. When we asked them to cover the cost of the second tow to the actual VW dealership, we were told Lauren had "spoken to her manager" and they refused to help with any of that expense -- despite their failure to inform us of their limitations in the first place. To make matters worse, when we arrived on Wednesday the 23rd to pick up the car and take it elsewhere, we asked where it was parked on the lot. The response? "I don't know, they usually park them somewhere down there by the side of Kohl's..." No offer to help locate it, no concern that we had our young child with us, and no apology for leaving us to walk across a scorching hot lot to find our vehicle ourselves. This entire experience showed a complete disregard for customer service, communication, or accountability. There was no effort to resolve the issue, no ownership of their mistakes, and no concern for the inconvenience or frustration caused. If given the chance to buy from Oxmoor Ford again, I absolutely would not. If given the chance to use their service department again, I absolutely would not. A day later my washer fluid light is still on, and my oil app is showing 57%. Complete incompetence. Now they want me to inconvenience myself by bringing it back to them to let them do what they were supposed to do the first time. Complete bullshit! We put down $18,000 cash on. $32,000 piece of trash truck. After having the car 8 months it's in the repair shop with over $11,000 if repairs to be done. I spoke with TIM ROBINSON who was a smartass and told me when I bought it was running fine so to bad for me. Ask if we wanted to trade it in and take a huge loss... not even recover the $18,000 put down on this garbage truck. He offered no help or advice for the situation. Devon helped me purchase my first brand new F-150 in Nov of 2024. Great salesman, I never felt pressured to buy and he was also a tremendous help in finding the right truck for me. Although my truck is brand new, it does has an electrical issue and tire rubbing that the dealership is going to look at tomorrow. When I reached out to them about my appointment, I was told it could take a few days and they can refer me to enterprise to rent a car from them. I do believe since it is a brand new truck, it's bought from this dealership and already having issues which will be covered by the warrenty, a loaner should be provided to keep me as a returning customer. I reached out to Devon and hes willing to help me through this, like he did with buying the truck, and help with a loaner. 5 stars for Devon. 3 for the dealership, will update after my truck is inspected. read more

To be fair, the sales staff was exceptional when I bought my car in March 2025. I paid cash so it would be kind of hard to mess that up. However, the Service Department, particularly Sierra, Dante, and the Service Dept Manager are very poor representatives for Lincoln. I had left a voicemail, chatted twice with virtual customer service before I called again four hours later and no return call to finally speak with Sierra. I explained my situation for the forth time and my needs if a particular service could be done. She confirmed that there was no problem with that. Of course the services I was requesting would the paid by me. I was not asking for anything I wasn't expecting to pay for. She then called me back to let me know that the tire needed would have to be ordered and it would take two days for it to arrive I called the next day to confirm my pick up and delivery service at which time I was told that service as not available as it was out of their service radius of 15 miles. Googles maps showed the distance as 15 miles. Then I was told by Dante that the service that Sierra said could be done could not be and they would not honor the word of their own employee I then spoke to the service department manager who did not give his name and refused to put me in touch with the General Manager. He also told me that he would not honor the request. Had I been told on Monday that the service was not available, I would have understood and made other arrangements. My SUV would be unusable for 3 days before the repair could be made. Now, I have had to go to an alternative solution and wait another day for my tire to arrive. Obviously more training with what services can be done is necessary. But the lack of professionalism of the Service Department Manager when refused to put me in touch with the General Manager has left me no other choice but to escalate this concern to Lincoln Client Relations. Oxmoore Ford can sell you a fine car at a competitive price and make the process of buying car as pain free as possible. But he advised. If your car needs service then you will be disappointed. You simple will be told that service available, then given a flaky reason why it can not be done to finally the service can not be done and no you cannot speak to the GM and not to mention the wasted time that they seem not not be concerned with. read more

I will never buy a car from this location again. I have had the worst experience since I drove off the lot with my car. The sales department was nice of course to make a sale$. The service department is miserable to work with. I have lost count on how many recalls I have had to bring my car in for, and they don't offer courtesy cars at this location! You put out recalls then won't even make it easy to get them fixed. The amount of time it takes for an oil change is nuts and I have to take it there because I got the easy care package when I bought the car. Once again NO curtesy vehicles at that location. Supposed to wash the car and top off all the fluids is what I was told when they sold it to me. That never happens. I ordered and waited 8 months for a new truck, 1 week after i purchased the truck i was asked to sign waiver indicating the vehicle had been damaged and repaired, and i was made aware of the issue. I was never told during the entire sales transaction until one week later i was being sold a damaged vehicle. I've brought my Ford vehicle to this dealership 3 times now. First two times took 2.5+ hours for an oil change and the first time I was told it took so long because they "didn't know they were doing an oil change" when it was shown as such in the system when I got there. Today was my third time and I have again been waiting for more than two and a half hours for an oil change and tire rotation. In addition, I was told they couldn't find the tool for my lug nuts. I pointed them in the direction of where it was. They came back 20 minutes later and said they couldn't find it so I had to go back into the shop just to open the compartment I told them it was in and find it sitting right there. One star seems redundant. After routine tire maintenance, heard a wobble. Returned immediately and was told after a *pause* that service found we had a bent rim. We ordered a replacement for close to $900. They replaced. Still had a wobble. Took it to Big O, they fixed the wobble and tested the removed rim, not bent-- apparently made that up and let us spend $900 rather than simply check the wobble in the first place. Asked OFL for a refund in kind-- parts and labor toward future service. They agreed, but then put us off for months "seeking approval." New service manager refused to honor the deal, offering us 10% off service invoices up to $9000 instead. Service lost our business, and our next car will not be purchased here, either. read more

Just got off work to do a test run on a 2016 Malibu, but the car didn't even have AC. Darryl took it back to get it serviced and even attested that it shouldn't have been on the lot. I was already hesitant to come due to so many bad reviews, but that just confirmed it. It's lot of workers/managers standing around having conversations so I'm unsure why cars aren't checked or properly maintained on the lot. I found the car searching through carfax, and it was listed for $14,500 but upon arrival seen it was listed for $16,000. I got a call soon as I left to tell me the AC is fixed but I can only imagine what else is wrong when the AC was already down in the hottest month of the year. I hope other people have better luck but it seems on brand from what I've been reading in the review section. read more

I just purchased a 2021 f150. I am a retired contractor and already knew what vehicle I wanted and after an extensive nation wide search I found the best over-all price at Oxmoor Ford. Then, It all started with an extensive on-line chat with Holly Goodman, who provided me answers to all of my questions. She was professional, knowledgeable, and in no way deceptive or rudely aggressive. The next day I arrived and Holly came out to greet my wife and I, and introduced us to Ray. Ray was kind, friendly, and personable, he walked us through all the paper work and administrative items. At the time of closing the transaction and making the payments, Ray introduced us to Kenneth the Financial Director. We had our own financing, but with our permission Kenneth compared our loan to another loan and was able to drop my monthly payments by $35 and for me that is huge. During this process Evan, an insurance advisor introduced himself and offered to give us a quote for home and auto. I am currently reviewing it, but the cost difference could save me an additional $400 a year for the same coverage. After all was completed Ray came out to show us around all the features on the vehicle and see us off. On the drive home my wife and I were very happy. We bought a great truck, at a great price, received good value on our trade-in, got an incredible rate on our financing, and met a few very nice people that I look forward to seeing again in the future. If I could give zero stars I would. Took my truck in to get just a basic service. They called me later in the day telling me something was wrong with my truck and that they needed to order parts. I went in to pick it up while we waited for the parts and they tried to charge me thousands of dollars so I had to let them know I had the full warranty... something they should have already known. They then argued with me telling me that I have to many miles and I don't have the warranty. All they had to do was scan the vin. Amazingly, once they realized I had a warranty my truck was fine! Nothing was wrong with it at all and those parts weren't needed. read more

Initial Review (1 star): So far short of reasonable expectations. My 09 Ford Mustang need the passenger airbag replaced for a safety recall. I made an appointment online for about a week out. I had a conflict with my original appointment so several days prior to the original appointment I rescheduled (online again) to an 8:15 appointment. I called 2 days before my appointment and asked about the timing of the work. Asked if they had the part, would it take an hour so I could just wait? Etc. Was told it would take a half to a full day, but they have a shuttle that could run me to work and pick me up. I dropped off the car about 10 - 15 minutes before my appointment. Asked about the shuttle and was told it was expected back soon. I should have had plenty of time to get to my 9:00 am meeting at my office. The shuttle was nowhere to be found till after 9:00 :-( The shuttle driver was nice and was willing to drop me off first (I was the only passenger going to work). One of the other passengers was right on the way and we all agreed to drop him off first. The driver said we should call for pickup before 4:30 or it will be a long time till I am picked up. I started calling the dealership service person, BJ, at 3 something and left a message. 45 minutes later I had no response. I called again and was passed around and put on hold several times. I was finally told that my car was ready at about 4:15, so I called for the shuttle. Shuttle was really quick to get me and picked up another before heading to the dealership. She admitted BJ was known for not calling customers letting them know their car was ready (seeing other reviews, this is a common problem with the dealership). When I got there, I was pointed towards the cashier. She had me sign something and said I was all set, they would bring my car around. While I was waiting I looked at the paperwork. The paper said they didn't replace the airbag at all. Said they didn't have the part. They verbally told me my car was ready and I'm all set. Ready? Set? No! I asked BJ and he said they tried to replace it but it was a bad part and they had to reorder. I have another car and they could have kept the Mustang to avoid me spending tons more time in shuttles or whatever. If they told me they needed another part I would have let them keep the car till they actually did the work, but instead they acted like it was job well done, when it was job not done. Also, on a passenger side airbag job, I would have expected the passenger seat to be pushed back some to give the technician room, and perhaps the child's car seat to have been moved from the front passenger seat. Seemed suspiciously like it hadn't been worked on at all, but that is just a suspicion and not a fact. I was not pleased by this engagement with Oxmoor Ford service department. Honestly, just call me to tell me what is going on, and at the very least, call me back. Review Update from 2nd visit to complete recall: Was contacted on Yelp by representative from Oxmoor FLM, but there wasn't really any action taken. Received a letter a few weeks later (dated a week back?) that the airbag was in and I needed to call and make an appointment within 2 weeks (from a week ago I assume) or they would send the part back to Ford. I made my appointment for 8 AM next available time for the 4-hour recall job, but had a friend pick me up as the shuttle experience is poor. I was in the area after lunch, about 12:30 - 1:00 so I called them while I was out to pick up the car. I got passed around to non-answering extensions for several minutes. Never got a firm answer and went back to work. Finally got hold of someone and heard very different stories including they haven't started on it, they have started on it, it's ready for pickup, it won't be ready till 4:30 etc... As I already know, they won't call you when your car is ready... I waited till about 5:30 hoping it would be done by then and I was able to take it home. I'm quite certain I was lied to before, so I guess I'll have to assume the recall was performed. Shockingly poor experience. Again. read more

I went to Oxmoor Ford to test drive yesterday. Out of the 20-plus sales rep photos on the wall, none were female. When I brought this up to another sales guy he laughed. They sent out a female staffer who was not in sales to say hello and thank me for coming in, but I didn't feel a welcoming vibe from anyone else. My sales rep had no idea what Apple CarPlay was or if my desired vehicle had it. I figured out fairly quickly that it did not. When I asked for costs associated with a similar model car that did have Apple CarPlay my rep disappeared for a while and came back with a quote $6K over the price point we'd been discussing, but had no breakdown on the increase or other package features. Guess what? It's 2018, women make our own money and know what we want in a car. We expect to see ourselves represented in the businesses we patronize and, at the very least, to deal with knowledgeable people when we are about to spend over $20K. I walked in here prequalified and I left knowing I would not be coming back. Aside from my rep's ineptitude, Ford's warranty was crap and their financing incentives had nothing on my pre-qual offer through Capital One. Needless to say, I will not be buying a Ford. But it's not even like I'm voting with my dollar on the side of social justice...they lost me at they suck. read more

STAY AWAY! This place is atrocious! I mean this with every ounce of my soul. I bought a new 2020 Ford Explorer here and I regret making any purchase from this dealer. They are horrible at communication. They are dishonest. Both sales and service. I had to involve the GM to get any traction in resolving my issues. 1.) I bought the vehicle without being told I qualified for certain incentives. Took 3 weeks for the incentive to be mailed to be as a refund check from Ford Corporate. I only discovered on my own accord that I did not receive a national incentive that was heavily advertised on Ford.com. 2.) I was promised floor mats that supposed to be included with my Explorer, had the promised written on paper and signed by a manager. It took 3 weeks to get these. Was told they were ordered and on back order. Finally called parts myself and found they were not only in stock, but in stock the entire time. 3.) The 10 day payoff for my trade in was incorrect. On top of that it was mailed to the wrong address. It took almost 3 weeks for for it to be corrected. I had to do their job of trying to track down a USPS mailed check without a tracking number. It was finally reissued. 4.) I purchased the Pulse brake light. Found out by pure happenstance it was not included on my vehicle. I had to come back to make another visit to service. 5.) The salesman was very unhelpful and truly did not know his product. I had to have a young kid employed with them to show me certain features of my car. 6.) To top it off, I decided to schedule a oil change with my Ford Reward Points. At the time of scheduling, I also asked if they could address a creaking front seat (probably needs tightening) and Sophia told me it would be a diagnostic fee assessed! Apparently she either does not know the federally mandated 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty that comes on all new vehicles (some manufacturers give more), or she is being told the wrong information by the dealer, or the dealer is just deceitful in trying to suck cash out of uninformed consumers. Well, I'm informed and very educated. I canceled my appointment and I won't ever spend another dime with any of these turds. I'm sure someone at Oxmoor will see this, but no response will change my mind. I'm going to another dealer and spending my money. Also, let it be known that many of my coworkers whom have money also know this story. I'm telling everyone I can about such an absolutely horrible sales and service experience. I would probably rate this Ford dealership a lot higher, if not for my experience when researching the Ford F150 Raptor. The sales associate who helped me treated me like I was incapable of paying for said vehicle. I merely asked to test drive and he said "we don't let people drive unless they are serious about buying" but neglected to run my credit, and barely took down my information. I have many tattoos, and drive a 91 Honda Accord, with 210k on the odometer and runs like a top. I feel like this caused me to receive service that was lacking to say the least. I will say that the mechanic I spoke with was extremely helpful and friendly, and so I will definitely consider taking my new to me 2013 Raptor that I bought closer to home in for service. Brought my Ford in for a recall on the transmission. They were polite and took the vehicle right away after we had been in correspondence over the phone to resolve the issue. The gentleman who was helping us gave me a call everyday they had the vehicle. Even asking when the earliest (in the day) he could call to let me know it was done. They had the service done within two days. Picked my car up no problem and driving better than ever. The customer service was excellent and everyone I encountered was kind. I bought a used car 2013 Cadillac with 87k miles on 10/25/20. The salesman agreed that they would fix any issues I had with it as long as that guaranteed my sale. I agreed. The next few weeks were me bringing the car back and forth to the dealership and their service tech basically applying a Band-Aid and telling me it was fixed. When I now believe all along they knew that the engine was going to need to be replaced. Which I found out from two other local mechanic shops that ran diagnostics. I've now put $1200 into this car and can no longer get a return call text or email from Oxmoor Ford. I have reached out to my salesman, the general manager, the sales manager, and the head service technician multiple times. The engine replacement is $7000. I'm very upset with such poor care and neglect of safety for customers. read more

Awful communication. I had communications with someone on the sales team about a car I was interested in. I test drove the car the following day. Told them I was interested and to proceed. We were told on Saturday April 25 that the loan was approved and read for delivery. Just had to sign a few papers and provide down payment. We were told after we arrived at the dealership that they hit a snag and to wait a few minutes. Waiting in the car for 45 minutes with no more communication from the sales associate after that. Been 6 days since I was assured someone from the Oxmoor Ford management team would contact me about my truck I bought in false pretenses. I have yet to receive such contact. I'm starting to think it will never happen and all these replies on Yelp are for show. read more

I will NEVER come here again. They will charge you money and not perform services. Good luck speaking with the service manager. If you leave a message he'll call you back fairly quick, but if you miss the call you'll never get ahold of him. Very poor service. Highly disappointed. Don't expect them to be helpful. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star! Horrible customer service. Long wait times and they lie. Was supossed to be contacted the next day, took a week. Then the service guy said he contacted me and I never heard anything from anyone after my initial phone call! I recommend going to another Ford dealership. I wouldn't let them touch my kids bike. read more
