Pestered the hell out of me when they needed something. When I needed something no calls/messages…read morereturned. Fuel tank was nearly empty and told gas would be put in. Either it wasn't or they only put in a few dollars. Salesman also told me extended warranty would be offered in finance signing. I was too busy checking out numbers and did not realize until a few days later that it was not mentioned and when I reached out to follow up, message was not returned. Vehicle came from out of state and was in their possession long enough to have had it inspected per Kentucky requirements but they wait until sold then have buyer bring it in on Tuesdays. I live 30 minutes away so not just a short drive across town. Not to mention waiting until after paperwork was signed to tell me this. I am sure this is not going to matter to Tammy "The Terminator" because according to salesman they sell over 100 cars a month.

!!! BEWARE !!! I financed a car here a month ago. It started…read moreoverheating on the way home from the lot, so I took the car back the next day. They put it in their shop on the lot, which found that the motor needed to be replaced. Then, the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. Now, a month later, they want me to be caught up on payments in order to get the car out of their shop. I haven't made payments, because my work has significantly reduced with no transportation/limited availability (because no car). The motor and catalytic converter are pretty important to the functioning of a car. These things should have been fixed before they sold it to anyone on their lot. These people are scammers and just want to trap you in their contract, because they know you're poor and just need to get into a car in order to work. This entire time, all I've gotten from their accounts office is the runaround and a few "thanks for being so patient'"s. I've always heard about these experiences at car lots, but this is the first time I've ever had one myself, and it's been a complete nightmare dealing with these people. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I wish I wouldn't taken my down payment literally anywhere else.

First I was told $2,000 down, then it went to $2,500, ended up I had to put $3,000 down. Now that we're 4 days away from paper tags expiring, I find out vehicle can NOT be titled, as it has a salvage title. I talked to Bill in finance,he said come on in we'll work to make it right,I was then transferred to (salesman) Anthony, he had me test drive a white Cherokee. I said no, I need/want 4x4. Can negotiate on any other options. I Was basically told it was that or nothing. I asked about the grand Cherokee Laredo as it's a base model, I was told(by sales manager Carlos?) if you want to put at least another $1,000 down to pay taxes, otherwise take what offered, or we will get a vehicle at auction this week. I have 0 say on vehicle coming from auction, I have a vehicle I bought in good faith, have at least $4,000 out of pocket in payments, and down payment. The sales manager didn't seem to care. I've made 3 trips to their lot, (about 46 miles round trip each time) and have 0 to show for it, this IS NOT MY FAULT!!!!!! Approved Auto screwed this up. I don't understand why the customer is being put out for the dealership screw up. I even explained my vehicle has every option possible, the Laredo is base model. Is this the type of customer service you provide? I'll have to make another trip and hope what you buy at the auction works for me. Why are you REFUSING to make this right?

In summary - the local team is great and we had a good experience with them, nice clean offices…read more Their logistics teams and cooperation across CarMax locations, however, definitely needs some work. Scenario: We purchased a vehicle from CarMax and it was in Columbus, OH. We paid the transfer fee to have it brought to Louisville. It took 2+ weeks, multiple phone calls and follow-ups, and several false starts to actually get it transferred. The local team reimbursed the transfer fee and did what they could to make it right. Corporate CarMax, help these guys out and fix how your departments work together to support your local teams who are in front of customers.

I have previously purchased cars from CarMax so I went back........Big mistake! I was greeted at…read morethe door and I was asked? Are you working with any salesperson? I said No so the gentleman said "well I can help you. I knew what I wanted to test drive so I explained to this salesperson and he retrieved the vehicle from its place on the lot. He didn't tell me he had to jump start it........ I test drove the vehicle and they evaluated my trade in. During the test drive I asked the salesperson what route people usually take. He told me he was new to the area and didn't know the streets. (You would have thought that was part of the training!) After the test drive I was told how much my trade was valued so I agreed and completed the paperwork for the purchase. After completing the paperwork I was waiting for the car to be brought up to the area where I could drive off. However........the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. So the salesperson told me I could pick up the car the following day - they would replace the battery. He explained that service would have it ready when they opened at 10:00am. I arrive at 10:00 to complete the sale and pick up the car............I have my vehicles titled in my revocable trust. So the person in the business office asked me if my Wife was with me? I told her No it wasn't necessary. She then told me it was necessary. Another person in the office actually looked at my "Certificate of trust" to see that I am a Trustee and either Trustee can sign! (Again, you would think people in the business office would be trained!) Then I was told the car wasn't ready............they requested I go get a late breakfast! They admitted to not knowing the car needed service. Needless to say I could not understand how a Customer buying a Major Asset would be treated this way! I left before I said something unpleasant. While having my "late breakfast" I received a text telling me they ordered a battery and were waiting on it to be delivered! They would contact me after the Service Dept installed the battery. Needless to say I did not buy the car. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER ! I left and went to Bachman Hyundai in Jeffersonville and purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe.
