After speaking to the greeter, we were quickly seated at a high top close to the outside and bar. Our server came to the table just as quick, poured water in our glass and answered a few questions we had. We ordered chips and salsa, hibiscus guava and anothet tequila cocktail. When our server came back with the drinks, we ordered our meals. They were brisket quesadilla and fish tacos (grilled). The meals cane out with 15 minutes. The fish taco was very tasty, however, the brisket quesadilla was not to satisfaction. It was tons of cheese and shredded pieces of brisket that was few to none. The server apologized and allowed me to select another item. I then chose the steak tacos. Unfortunately, they came out with rubbery touch steak. I did not send it back. The drinks, atmosphere and staff was great and polite. The drawback was my selected meal. I would return

We did to go and they still gave us chips and salsa. The hotel had given us a voucher for a free dessert, we were given churros served with a dark chocolate dip. Everything was so delicious it was hard to stop eating. Very cute vibes, modern and clean looking atmosphere. I even noticed they have an outside patio that can be rented out for events.

We had two young children with us, and unfortunately, the service put a damper on what otherwise could have been a really enjoyable experience. One of our nephews had kicked his shoes off while sitting at the table. When he got up briefly to ask us something, our server came over and rather abruptly told us that he needed to have shoes on because they "drop glass all the time." We completely understand the safety concern and had no issue putting his shoes back on. It was simply the delivery that caught us off guard. From that point forward, our interactions with our server felt noticeably less welcoming and somewhat rushed, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the evening. That being said, there were definitely positives. The food was delicious, the margaritas were amazing, and service itself was very quick and timely. I also really appreciated that the kids' meals came out almost immediately after we ordered. Anyone who has eaten dinner with young children knows how helpful that can be! The location is also fantastic, especially if you're staying near the beach, and the outdoor atmosphere made it a great setting for a casual family dinner. I wish the hospitality had matched the food because that really would have changed our entire experience. We weren't expecting anyone to bend the rules for us, and we absolutely understand the safety concern regarding our nephew's shoes. A little more warmth in how the situation was handled would have gone a long way. The food, drinks, location, and efficiency were all great, but unfortunately, the service left us feeling less than welcome.

There was a large party that seemed to cause major delays, and we ended up waiting about an hour for our food. Thankfully, the drinks were strong, so we had a great time catching up while we waited. We started with the guacamole, which was incredibly fresh and addictive. I ordered the Fresh Herbs Swai, and although they were out of the coconut rice, the dish was still flavorful and delicious. We also tried the Cuban 4 Leches cake and flan, and both were pretty good. Despite the long wait, this remains one of my favorite low-key spots. The food never disappoints, and I plan to return whenever I'm in the area.

Everything changed when our fajitas arrived. We ordered the Mixed Fajitas with beef steak, shrimp, and chicken. After we'd been eating for a while, my husband suddenly said the steak smelled and tasted spoiled. I realized I had noticed an odd smell when I ate a piece earlier, but I thought maybe it was just me. Then one of our friends said she thought it tasted bad too and had actually spit it out into a napkin. We immediately called the server over. He took the entire cast-iron fajita skillet back to the kitchen and said he would check with the chef. After a long wait, he came back and told us that both the chef and the prep cook insisted there was nothing wrong with the steak because it had been cut just yesterday. They claimed the "smell" was coming from the sauce. We asked them to bring us the sauce separately. We all tasted it, and the sauce had absolutely no bad smell at all. It clearly wasn't the source of the problem. Even then, they refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong with the steak, but they could remake the meat if we want. We then asked to speak with the manager. A young manager came over, we asked if any of them has tasted the beef steak left in the fajitas skillet, she said she believed us tasted and smelled it but she simply repeated the same explanation. She said they were a family-owned business that cared deeply about their reputation, so the meat had to be fresh. Her solution remained unchanged, she can bring us a remake of the meat. By that point, we had already finished most of the meal. What good would another plate do? We weren't asking for more food--we wanted them to acknowledge the issue and handle it appropriately. The ending was honestly unbelievable. They took just $6 off the entire bill, saying they had removed the cost of the steak from the fajitas. I've never experienced a resolution like that at any restaurant. The only conclusion I can come to is that this is a tourist area in Fort Lauderdale. They saw that we were visitors, figured we'd be leaving town soon, and simply didn't care about making things right because we'd probably never be back anyway. I haven't left reviews at Yelp for many years, but I'd like to share this experience. Hopefully it helps others decide whether they want to take the risk of dining here.

It's so good I've already gone two weeks in a row and I'm pretty sure it's about to become a regular thing for me. One of my favorite parts about this place is that the owners are actually the chefs in the kitchen, preparing all of the dishes themselves. They're incredibly friendly and even come out to chat with guests, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The barbacoa tacos are hands down my favorite. The meat is unbelievably tender literally falling apart and so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the campechano tacos (a mix of chorizo and steak) and they were sooo good. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table. It has the perfect smoky kick and just elevates every bite. The guac and chips were good, though they didn't quite stand out compared to how incredible the tacos were. But honestly, those tacos alone are reason enough to keep coming back. Safe to say I've found my new Taco Tuesday spot . Can't wait for my next visit!

(With lots of tequilas, beers, and craft cocktails) We had a group of 7 on a Saturday night. We tried to get a reservation but after many calls; no one ever answered the phone. We decided to risk it because we were going pretty early, 6:00. We did have to attend an 8;00 show at the Broward Center which is just 1/2 a mile away. The place was pretty empty and we had no problem getting a few tables put together. There is a very extensive menu with lots of apps, a few salads, enchiladas, fajitas, and at least 15 taco varieties. I ordered a reposado margarita, which was fabulous, for $15. For food I went with the Trio of Tacos for $18. There was one chicken taco, one carnitas taco, and one gringo beef taco. The tortillas were small; but they were piled high! They were also tasty. One friend had the Citrus Mango Shrimp Tacos, $19. She said they were very good. Two friends had the Baja Fish Tacos on our servers recommendation, $19. One friend said they were just ok because they weren't crunchy at all and she didn't care for the cilantro slaw filling, the other friend thought they were delicious and savory! Yet another friend had the chicken nachos. She didn't care for them at all because they had a cheese sauce as opposed to authentic shredded cheese. Our waiters were attentive; but we did have a little delay with one of the fish taco orders. Everyone had food except for one diner and we had to flag down a server and wait quite a while for her to finally get her meal. Everyone on the staff was friendly though, and they didn't mind giving us separate checks. If you are looking for casual Mexican dining, or just want to have a few appetizers and drinks; Bandoleros is a good option that won't break the bank!
