Came with my wife and dad. The items we ordered from the menu were very yummy, rum n raisin ice cream, strawberry popsicle with condensed milk filling and the mango preparado. Customer service was excellent

I was looking for something different in ice cream. We came here and the service was excellent. They let us try a few different things very unique stuff that I've never have had any place. We decided to get the banana split with different ice cream especially the rum raisin, which was really authentic and you could tell that it was house made I will definitely drive up here again to try the different creams and see the people

Stopped in here with my mom & her bf to get some sweets & they did not disappoint! You order at the register, they bring out your order & you pay after you finish. My mom got a cholado, I got an Oreo milkshake w/caramel & my moms bf ordered the banana split. I tried my moms cholado and will definitely be getting my own on my next visit! It was the perfect balance of sweet & refreshing. The milkshake was really good & the attendant who took our order had informed us that they make all their own ice cream. Cute little hole-in-the-wall spot with a good amount of tables indoors & nicely decorated with Mexican decor including a photo op wall!

Caprichos Mexicanos is a hidden gem!! If you like spicy, salty sweet and savory snacks, this is the place to find it! From paletas, to fruit with tajin and candy on top, to ice cream and savory snacks with spicy sauces, there are just so many different options to choose from!! I had the soursop water paleta and it was so good, full of fruity flavor even when made with water. There are different kinds of paletas made with milk for a creamer taste. I also ordered the mangonada, a delicious snack. They put chamoy on the inside of the cup, fill it with mango sorbet and top it with more chamoy and tajin. They also place a tamarind candy in the in the mangonada for a nice little snack afterwards. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying other snacks they have to offer. Check them out on a hot summers day for a nice treat!

I had the most incredible experience trying the mangonada at this place! The combination of flavors was simply amazing. The homemade ice cream took it to another level, adding a creamy richness that perfectly balanced the refreshing mango. The sweetness was just right, not overwhelming at all. And let me tell you about the Chamoy--it was generously drizzled over the top, showing they truly don't hold back on toppings. But it's not just about the food; the customer service was exceptional. The staff was attentive and incredibly welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. This spot has definitely become my go-to for a satisfying treat with fantastic service!

This place is great! Traditional Mexican treats/ice creams and more. I have been here three times now. I have met the owner and know they make all their Ice creams in house. You are getting homemade deliciousness! You can tell there is a lot of love in all their creations. This is a must if you are in the area and want a treat. Great staff, always friendly. I come for the Mangonandas!

My husband knows the way to my heart somehow he always finds places that take me back to my roots. Caprichos Mexicanos took me back to Latin America with flavors that are not only delicious but genuine. Caprichos mexicanos opened up recently and I'm so glad they did! You must visit and try some of the items in their large menu. They use natural and fresh ingredients and they have treats that combine multiple cultures not only Mexico. The owners were so kind and helped us to choose some of the exciting things! The prices are affordable. On our first visit we chose some "Dorielotes with a cheese melt party and a "raspado" or shaved iced with coconut and pineapple. They were so good! We can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. Thank you for bringing part of my heart to my new home with your flavors and kindness!

This place is soo underrated! What a good authentic and creative place to eat. They make everything from from fresh fruits and handmade. I would probably never have tried some of the things I did on the regular but so happy I did !! The staff is so so nice & the space was clean. Can not wait to be back! This is definitely a place you can take someone from out of town if you want to give them something different to enjoy than a regular chain restaurant.

Another hidden gem! The mangonada was mangolicious !! I loved the layers of freshly chopped mango with the creamy mango sorbet topped with even more mango. The combination of flavors was so tasty with the tajin and Chamoy. They have so many different Mexican-style sweet and savory treats to choose from beyond their specialty items. The staff is very friendly here and even made us a sample of the strawberries with cream and ice cream flavors to try. It is clean and spacious inside with amazing decor inside. Definitely stop by here if you are looking for a unique and flavorful dessert experience!

I normally post pictures but this place is so amazing, we always forget to take pictures before we eat the ice creams! All the paletas and ice cream are hand made on site. Don Miguel is a master ice cream maker and he comes up with delicious, new flavors every week. We LOVE the cheese and guava paletas, the strawberries and cream, and the cholados. It's a slice of heaven This is a family run business where everyone greets you with a smile. It's a little on the pricey side, $4-$10 per ice cream, but comparable to other gourmet ice cream shops in the area. The ingredients are fresh and Don Miguel makes new batches each week. Nothing is better than enjoying a homemade ice cream with friends and family at this sweet little shop. Definitely a treat. Definitely a must! Next time, I'll remember to take pictures ;)

What a great spot for Mexican-style treats, crave-able snacks and delicious ice creams and drinks. We ended up getting coconut ice cream and the Tamarind Raspasos (drink/shaved ice/amazing). Our treats were amazing but there's so much more than ice cream here. There's there's sweet, there's spicy, there's salty, there's savory...and of course combinations of each! I can't wait to come back and try the DoriElotes... .and the Chicharrone Preparado... One last note: The service was amazing. Fast, friendly, helpful and fun! Definitely on our list of faves now!

This place was such a great find if you're craving Mexican desserts/ice cream. They have ice cream, paletas, and the like. The place is large, great place to bring a group if you want. And it's very decorated so it's a fun vibe all in all. Got the chips and the mangonada, both which were Delicious!!!! The only thing is that I think the prices are a little overpriced here. Total was about $17 which isn't bad/probably due to inflation but still a lot for these items.

When our server came back with the drinks, we ordered our meals. They were brisket quesadilla and fish tacos (grilled). The meals cane out with 15 minutes. The fish taco was very tasty, however, the brisket quesadilla was not to satisfaction. It was tons of cheese and shredded pieces of brisket that was few to none. The server apologized and allowed me to select another item. I then chose the steak tacos. Unfortunately, they came out with rubbery touch steak. I did not send it back. The drinks, atmosphere and staff was great and polite. The drawback was my selected meal. I would return

We had two young children with us, and unfortunately, the service put a damper on what otherwise could have been a really enjoyable experience. One of our nephews had kicked his shoes off while sitting at the table. When he got up briefly to ask us something, our server came over and rather abruptly told us that he needed to have shoes on because they "drop glass all the time." We completely understand the safety concern and had no issue putting his shoes back on. It was simply the delivery that caught us off guard. From that point forward, our interactions with our server felt noticeably less welcoming and somewhat rushed, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the evening. That being said, there were definitely positives. The food was delicious, the margaritas were amazing, and service itself was very quick and timely. I also really appreciated that the kids' meals came out almost immediately after we ordered. Anyone who has eaten dinner with young children knows how helpful that can be! The location is also fantastic, especially if you're staying near the beach, and the outdoor atmosphere made it a great setting for a casual family dinner. I wish the hospitality had matched the food because that really would have changed our entire experience. We weren't expecting anyone to bend the rules for us, and we absolutely understand the safety concern regarding our nephew's shoes. A little more warmth in how the situation was handled would have gone a long way. The food, drinks, location, and efficiency were all great, but unfortunately, the service left us feeling less than welcome.

There was a large party that seemed to cause major delays, and we ended up waiting about an hour for our food. Thankfully, the drinks were strong, so we had a great time catching up while we waited. Everything changed when our fajitas arrived. We ordered the Mixed Fajitas with beef steak, shrimp, and chicken. After we'd been eating for a while, my husband suddenly said the steak smelled and tasted spoiled. I realized I had noticed an odd smell when I ate a piece earlier, but I thought maybe it was just me. Then one of our friends said she thought it tasted bad too and had actually spit it out into a napkin. We immediately called the server over. He took the entire cast-iron fajita skillet back to the kitchen and said he would check with the chef. After a long wait, he came back and told us that both the chef and the prep cook insisted there was nothing wrong with the steak because it had been cut just yesterday. They claimed the "smell" was coming from the sauce. We asked them to bring us the sauce separately. We all tasted it, and the sauce had absolutely no bad smell at all. It clearly wasn't the source of the problem. Even then, they refused to acknowledge that anything was wrong with the steak, but they could remake the meat if we want. We then asked to speak with the manager. A young manager came over, we asked if any of them has tasted the beef steak left in the fajitas skillet, she said she believed us tasted and smelled it but she simply repeated the same explanation. She said they were a family-owned business that cared deeply about their reputation, so the meat had to be fresh. Her solution remained unchanged, she can bring us a remake of the meat. By that point, we had already finished most of the meal. What good would another plate do? We weren't asking for more food--we wanted them to acknowledge the issue and handle it appropriately. The ending was honestly unbelievable. They took just $6 off the entire bill, saying they had removed the cost of the steak from the fajitas. I've never experienced a resolution like that at any restaurant. The only conclusion I can come to is that this is a tourist area in Fort Lauderdale. They saw that we were visitors, figured we'd be leaving town soon, and simply didn't care about making things right because we'd probably never be back anyway. I haven't left reviews at Yelp for many years, but I'd like to share this experience. Hopefully it helps others decide whether they want to take the risk of dining here.

They're incredibly friendly and even come out to chat with guests, which makes the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The barbacoa tacos are hands down my favorite. The meat is unbelievably tender literally falling apart and so juicy and flavorful. I also tried the campechano tacos (a mix of chorizo and steak) and they were sooo good. Perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. And let's talk about their chipotle salsa... I'm obsessed. I was putting it on everything on the table. It has the perfect smoky kick and just elevates every bite. The guac and chips were good, though they didn't quite stand out compared to how incredible the tacos were. We decided to risk it because we were going pretty early, 6:00. We did have to attend an 8;00 show at the Broward Center which is just 1/2 a mile away. The place was pretty empty and we had no problem getting a few tables put together. There is a very extensive menu with lots of apps, a few salads, enchiladas, fajitas, and at least 15 taco varieties. I ordered a reposado margarita, which was fabulous, for $15. For food I went with the Trio of Tacos for $18. There was one chicken taco, one carnitas taco, and one gringo beef taco. The tortillas were small; but they were piled high! They were also tasty. One friend had the Citrus Mango Shrimp Tacos, $19. She said they were very good. Two friends had the Baja Fish Tacos on our servers recommendation, $19. One friend said they were just ok because they weren't crunchy at all and she didn't care for the cilantro slaw filling, the other friend thought they were delicious and savory! Yet another friend had the chicken nachos. She didn't care for them at all because they had a cheese sauce as opposed to authentic shredded cheese. Our waiters were attentive; but we did have a little delay with one of the fish taco orders. Everyone had food except for one diner and we had to flag down a server and wait quite a while for her to finally get her meal. Everyone on the staff was friendly though, and they didn't mind giving us separate checks.
