Called to make a reservation the day of, it was a Wednesday and they were able to accommodate us. We got a room with a queen size bed and it wasn't huge but it was good enough and the bathroom was spacious. The pillows on the bed might be the best pillows I have ever slept on in any hotel, EVER, and I have stayed in many hotels. So fluffy and wonderful. So one thing I have to say: they have coffee downstairs in the "lobby" area 24 hours a day and they also have cookies. Yes, soft, wonderful, delicious cookies. They are enormous and stare you right in the face when you walk in the hotel. You may think you have willpower, but when you are coming back to this hotel after a night of drinking in Geneva, willpower gone. Those cookies were darn delicious. Yes, cookies, plural. They have a pool and a little fitness center too, which we didn't utilize but maybe you will. Their continental breakfast was definitely impressive, for the most part, as long as you didn't intend on eating very healthy. Their hard boiled eggs were bad, two mornings we had continental breakfasts here, both times, the texture just wasn't right. They had oatmeal in a crackpot, which was my go to because it was one of the only healthy options. The toppings they had seemed healthy until you really looked at what it was. There were "almonds" but they were coated in loads of sugar. There was cinnamon sugar and there were also candied fruit. Luckily there were some peanut butter packs and I added that to my oatmeal with a banana and was set. They had make your own waffles, turkey sausage, omelettes, cereal, bagels, muffins and toast. Their coffee wasn't my favorite, but it also wasn't the worst. They had 2% milk, skim and half and half out. I thought the rooms were a tad expensive for what they were, but it was convenient that we didn't have to get a cab to go to the various restaurants and bars in the area. They even let me leave my car in the parking lot overnight while we headed to the end of the lake and stayed in Watkins Glen. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in isn't until 3pm but we were able to get our room around 1pm. We got a two queen bed room which was decent sized. Due to covid, no room service or towel changes but we were able to get what we needed at the front desk. Our room had a Keurig coffee maker and small mini fridge. We weren't in the room much but when we were, it was very quiet; didn't here our neighbors or people in the hallways! Service was very friendly and accommodating! When we arrived back late after the wedding, the front desk person offered us water and late check out which we gladly accepted. Breakfast was extensive for hotel breakfast, but your typical holiday inn express breakfast with pancakes, cinnamon buns, eggs and biscuits. A couple of downsides; if you have more than 2 people staying in a room, they charge you for the extra people, even if the room is meant for 4 people! That didn't seem right. The gym was a nice touch but very old. The treadmill was broken while I was there and the elliptical was squeaky, loud and did not seem safe when I tried it out. I was happy to see free weights and mats with a large mirror; this is more than most hotel gyms. The indoor pool area was busy at most hours of the day. Also, if you need to get an Uber back to the hotel late at night, forget it! It takes 15-30 min to get one; just an FYI! Overall, great value for the area! I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in the area!

The receptionist was friendly and helpful and welcomed my highly trained service dog. She helped me find a room on the first floor near an exit, so he could do his business easily. The room was clean and smelled good unlike some hotels. Also, the furniture and decor were modern. I noticed they had a seasonal outdoor pool, which is always a welcome treat and preferred, because who wants to go swimming inside without sun and reeking of chlorine? Lastly, the continental breakfast the next morning was the best I've ever had! Seriously-- They had made-to-order Belgian waffles, mini omelettes with onions and bell peppers, sausage patties, bacon, cheddar and Swiss cheese, bagels, cereal options, fresh fruit, juice, and coffee. I made a few trips to the buffet and grabbed some sausage for the road for my dog. I appreciated that there was an attendant at the breakfast station keeping everything both clean and well-stocked. If I'm ever in the area again, I most definitely will be back!

Our room (number 202, almost directly above the main entrance facing the front parking lot) had long tiles and no carpet. There was a closet niche but it wasn't enclosed. They can use a little paint in the bathroom here and there. But it was clean, and everything was in working order. The air conditioner was pretty darn cold, thankfully, and I would say it's stronger than in most of the bigger hotel chains. This is a small hotel, with a front side and back side. It's best to check in before taking your bags out of the trunk. If your room is closer to the door in the back of the hotel, you'll want to drive your car around back. One thing that could bother some people is the pronounced smell of curry as you walk into the casual lobby area. You might actually love it... depends on how you feel about that smell. They were so pleasant and easy to work with and they helped us out tremendously! The rooms were clean and well stocked. It was a comfortable space and close to everywhere we needed to be yet secluded and private and quiet! The quiet was amazing! Jacuzzi tub was clean. I cleaned it myself before use and was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. The bed wasn't the best for my back but it was clean and I really can't complain about that. Would definitely book here again!!!
