The room is quaint, clean and very functional. With TV and Microwave as well as a fridge it was perfect. Staff never bothered us and it was so much less expensive than the big hotel. Convenient location 10 minutes to Auburn and 5 min to Skaneateles! One of the best parts of our stay was Getting out of the car and walking in our room! No elevators or long hallways. 11 units in all. I highly recommend it!

A large 'living room' area and a table that could seat 6. The bathroom was huge and looked newly remodeled. The Finger Lake Lodging Motel is part of the MIRBEAU Spa Hotel across the street, and we picked the key up there. Everyone was very friendly. This is close to town, about a 3 minute drive. The room had central air and also window A/C units that were not turned on (we visited in September). It was charming and comfortable and clean.

But there are some issues: - there was a dehumidifier in the room and that had to stay running all the time or the room smelled kind of musty - there was a central room in the lodge that you could get coffee at but it was never locked so I was hesitant to go there without my hubby in the morning - while the rooms were clean, whoever is responsible for grounds cleaning outside did not see the green bags of dog poop that were placed by another guest next to a pillar. We stayed two nights and those bags were there when we arrived and I picked them up when we left (and if you were the owner of this dog, the garbage can outside was 5 steps away).

The breakfast coffee was delicious and they offered a bowl of fruit, snacks, and water at both breakfast and upon arrival... thank you! I would 100% come back. Gail provided us with plates and everything we needed to enjoy a night in (in our amazing accommodations, which brings me to the room....) Rose room- spacious, with a stately canopy bed, a gas fireplace, a couch and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and plenty of hot water. It was truly our sanctuary for a wintry weekend. The bed had beautiful coverlets and sheets, down pillows. I don't sleep as well at home! And even on 0 degree days, it was plenty toasty all day and night. Now what's a B&B without a wonderful breakfast? This one was top notch. Great, fragrant coffee served in large one-of-a-kind mugs. It seems like a baked fruit, a warm bread and an egg dish makes a basic template for what to expect, and Gail can accommodate any dietary needs. Finally, the grounds/location are picturesque. I only regret I forgot to read or ask about the history of the property. There is a red barn and plenty of open surrounding fields, stars out bright at night. Even snow covered, it looks like the cover of a story book. I highly recommend a stay here. You really can't go wrong. The table games are generally pretty full. I can not imagine what it's like on the weekends when all the tables are open. The table game's minimums start at 5, 10, 25, 50 depending on which game it is. The slots are plenty. Hundreds of all kinds. I don't play a lot of slots, but when i have, i've won here. Only $20 - 60, but a win is a win. If you are intimidated by the tables, they have automatic craps and roulette games. The roulette is pretty dated and could really should be updated. Mostly because the interface is kinda a pain, but it still works. The staff is super friendly and are happy to answer any dumb questions i have. Customer service is top notch. The cleaning crew is really on top of things. The main floor, bathrooms, dining areas are all spotless. The thing that really stands out about this place is that the people seem happy. They call each other by their names. They joke and laugh. This is not the atmosphere that I usually see at the other NY casinos.

We rented out the 2-bedroom "suite" with a full bathroom across the hall. The other two rooms each have their own bathroom, so you don't have to share with other guests. The house is quiet, cozy and the decoration is not too over-done. The wide living room is a wonderful place to play board games, read a book in the comfy chairs, or play the piano. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee plentiful. There was even a small refrigerator available in the dining room to store our open bottle of wine from Varick Winery.
