I want to thank Geni Westling for her committed service helping us find our home. Our budget and…read morethe market seem to make it impossible to find the right house but Geni never quit or slowed down to help us. For months we looked in every surrounding town and sometimes without much warning, Geni always came through. She was totally knowlegable of the entire area as well as the many houses that she showed us. I highly recommend her as a true Realtor, I have bought and sold a few homes and worked with several Realtor's but Geni, she has been the best. Thank you Geni for your committment to your business and clients. Dan and Roberta

Responsible renters beware. I agree with other one star ratings. This company is predatory and…read moreviolates tenant privacy on a quarterly basis with full spectrum photos of belongings for owners. Upon move out, families are taken advantage of by an anal retentive inspector who nit picks down to noting dog feces on the yard for which we had no control. Also, I agree with the unfair rekey fee although it is outlined in the document. Pay close attention to your notice to vacate regarding utilities, you will be responsible to pay three business days of service after you vacate or will be charged $150. Be advised read and re-read all documents put in front of you from this establishment. They are iron-clad and there will be no negotiations. 100 percent agree with these well written and accurate comments: "Would not recommend renting. Random BS charges at move out "rekeying locks" and won't do a move out checklist with me present. I hate this company and would NEVER recommend renting from them. Lazy property management company wants to push off all costs onto tenants. For reference the house is very clean and I have always gotten my security deposit back elsewhere minus one or two little charges for things like forgetting to weedwack or couldn't get the oven clean enough. I will be recommending they get put on the "OFF LIMITS" list for Soldiers if I don't get a reasonable refund of deposit. It's not supposed to be free money for the managers. Edit: I was told at move-in that regular wear and tear was permissible but now they are trying to charge me "recleaning" fees and no charges are itemized. No actual prices are listed out, they don't use a checklist with prices like every other rental company. May have to pursue legal action to get anything at all back. They wouldn't accept my notice to vacate at the end of my lease until I signed the agreement they're mentioning, so it's not like the contracts I signed will be enforceable. I had no choice and only signed them hoping to get my deposit back. Very unfair and predatory dealing, normally you can just inform the property manager in writing without signing a contract" "If you lease with them, don't expect to be treated fairly. Do not expect to see your deposit back. They will find any way possible to charge you for anything upon move out. They are all about lining their own pockets. Ask locals around the area about Walker Rentals and you WILL get the truth. This business should be investigated." "I wouldn't recommend renting through them. When I moved out I spent 2 days deep cleaning, called a carpet cleaning company to clean the carpets because walker requires this when moving out even if you don't have pets . And still got more than half of my deposit stolen from me. Saying it wasn't clean. It looked exactly the same as it did when we moved in. On top of that, they claimed that in the 5 months we were there (I'm military and got orders to move) there was a light cover in one of the rooms that wasn't there when we moved out??? Which I never noticed. And my fiancé and I were totally blind sided by when they said this. They are also terrible with getting work orders done.... $775 taken away from me because it wasn't better and cleaner than when we moved in?"

Finding true reviews of this place is difficult...but please read the negatives once you find them!…read moreWarning...this is a long review, but hang it there. It gives a full scope of why you should look elsewhere for rentals. My husband and I PCSed here for his next stage of schooling, and I thought I'd do the smart thing and have a house all ready to move into when we got here. Traveling across country with 2 dogs, and a teething baby, I didn't want to house hunt! Should've just eaten a few days of leave and actually looked around. The house we chose was strictly based on the pictures, stats of the house listed on the listing website, and the word of the company that had it for rent...IE The Property Shop Rentals. While this has worked for us in the past, you have to assume that what they tell you and what they advertise is what you are getting. Not the case here. While the house was clean and in good repair, it was listed at a little over 1700 square feet. Upon arriving...the house is just over 1300. That is a HUGE difference. We rented a house based on this information, but have been storing the majority of our furniture in the garage because the space is simply to small! We were also told it was a great family friendly neighborhood and great for getting out and walking around. Nope again. There are huge steep hills that is a mountain climb with a stroller. Also the mailboxes are located almost 1/2 mile away. Lastly, not truly related, we were outside of city limits. AKA County. So that means, if you want to shoot fireworks off in march, you can. We have neighbors leave their dogs out that get into the trash, and chase you if you walk outside. But we can't call animal control because it's county. This aside, we were only planning on being here for less than a year...so we stuck it out. But guess what?! More problems. In the 10 months we have lived here we have had them accuse us of paying our rent late...but then when we provide documentation we haven't...they mysteriously find out check or its deposited with no word from them. We had a move in inspection well over 10 days after we moved in despite them not showing. There were several maintenance requests submitted from things we found on our move in inspection, that were not fixed until April of the next year, 6 months after we moved in! While some things were minor, one was a kitchen sink that barely passed as working... Then we had a major issue with our A/C breaking despite OUR upkeep REQUIRED by the lease to maintain air filters and what not. Still, the A/C broke, and a pipe from that flooded our carpet. We submitted an emergency work order, heard nothing...then called everyday for a week, while we had soaked carpet and pads just sitting there. With a baby this was not at all ideal. After beginning the process of meeting with JAG to get this sorted out. We received a call saying they could get a carpet person there within the next day, and the delay was due to it being "PCS Season" and everyone was super busy. While the carpet was cleaned, the company would not pull it up and check the pads below, and said just run a fan over it. While this portion is not The Property Shop Rentals specifically, it is a contractor that they sent. He also insisted in spraying an anti mold agent in the area, but could not tell me if it was safe to be around for pets or children. While we are getting ready to move...also note they require you to do a lot of the maintenance and upkeep to get the house ready to rent out again. IE cleaning carpets, and re keying all the locks. And this is not something you can do yourself, you have to provide professional receipts for the carpets, and use their company for the re keying process, incurring their fees. Again, this is a long review. So thanks to those of you that made it to the end. But seriously...take to heart what you get into with these folk. As a renter, I am truly not happy with how they have treated us, and am counting the days till we PCS again. On a separate note, if you are planning on using them as a company to rent your house for them...do your research. If I owned this house we are renting, and saw the way they represented me and my interests, I would fire them.
