Stopped into Ozzie's, had a delicious meal with fast service. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Service was delightful. They let us know they were short staffed, but they did a great job. Delicious wings and fresh chips.

Avery is serving us at the bar. We both order the wing special. People that ordered after, had their meals. When we asked, her reply was the cook didn't drop the right amount of wings so would be a couple minutes. Never the work SORRY was in her vocabulary. So busy talking to regulars. When my order arrived, not piping hot but shortly after hubby order came and steaming. Again no apology or sorry. Best was when asking for check, the POS didn't offer custom tip. 20% was more than deserved, even with the one on the house beer for hubby. And not able to provide a hard receipt. System supposedly hasn't been totally updated or other excuse. So obvious a manager was NOT on property. read more

This is the former Florida Tap House. We went there before (FTH) and the food was terrible as was the service. The good news now with Ozy's, the service was great! Our server was super nice and attentive. (Hence 2 Stars) Sadly, the food situation is not much different. The burger was way overcooked and clearly a previously frozen patty. The chicken in the chicken Caesar salad was the saltiest chicken we ever tasted and dry as a bone. Apparently not the same ownership (rebranded) from what we were told. It's a great location, clean facilities, decent bar with large tap beer offerings and good TV situation. I certainly hope over time they will greatly improve the kitchen quality. read more

Driven past this place 100's of times, we decided to try it. The manager greeted us at the door, seated us promptly. Benji our server was friendly , prompt and kind. The drinks were good, we had wings and the salmon entree'. I will return for the wings. The salmon was less than underwhelming. It looked like a 5.5oz frozen piece you can get in a bag at Walmart and that quality. Stay away from that. Actually as I saw other tables served. It looks like this place is upscale bar food. Wings good, burgers looked amazing, flatbreads good. Any entree' I saw walking past was like going to the Christmas parade and finding out the firetruck carrying Santa had just passed through! We were driving by and saw Ozy's Tavern, which caught our eye. This was a very cute tap house with a large bar. We sat on their patio with our dog. I must say the Service was outstanding and I'm gonna say excellent. We ordered the buffalo hot wings for an appetizer. They were pretty good and very wet we then ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. I thought it was delicious. My wife did too,however, it was too hot for her so I ended up eating her most of her wrap. I had an American IPA. The beer was really tasty but was a little pricey ($12 each). My advice would be to ask for the price before ordering. we will definitely go back. I was told the Reuben sandwich was the best in Venice. We'll see. read more

We made a reservation for a fairly large party, but upon arrival were met with some confusing conversations about why we were there despite having a reservation. After being seated, it became quite warm inside, so we asked to move outside. The host, Lisa, was absolutely wonderful--she went out of her way to make sure our group was comfortable and had everything we needed. While the service was generally attentive, there were a few comments that made us feel like our group was an inconvenience. That said, the food and drinks were excellent. The espresso martinis were great, and the gluten-free options were outstanding--especially the gluten-free flatbreads, which were a highlight of the night. We ordered drinks, old fashioned, ice tea and waters. For dinner I ordered a flat bread pizza and fish and chips. The waitress did say the fish and chips were small. My wife received her ice tea quickly. After a bit we received our food but no waters or old fashioned! They put grapefruit in the old fashioned. Not good. Food was average at best. read more

Terrible bartending the drinks are so weak and so bad we called our waitress over and she argued that It was the ice when the drink had just been delivered and it was Bourbon almost the color of water. The manager there seems much more interested in being right, than satisfying the customer. We were a large table and we all agreed. We will never go back to this place. Literally the best wings I've had in a MINUTE! Absolutely perfect--the sauce was great, the wings were crispy and big, and even the celery was on point! My husband had the cuban and LOVED it. Our server was Avery, and she was excellent--very friendly and helpful! When I told her how much I loved the wings, she reminded me that Tuesday is wing night, so we will absolutely be going back. Went to Ozy's in Wellen Park last night. not a tavern atmosphere and $10.00 for a beer! Nothing has really changed from the previous operation including the menu. We had hoped it might be our local but so many things not working. the food was good when we finally got it. It is not a place I can't wait to go back to. Seating is not comfortable, layout not workable, too many items on the menu that are not appealing, staff tried but don't know if they ever got any training. After reading the other reviews it would appear that they are always short staffed in the kitchen or the cook can't keep up. read more

Was very disappointed on service and staff on Cinco day. Food was mediocre at best but staff who looked festive was very blasé and just going through the motions. Free salsa and chips were on menu but no one offered- no smiles- the Rueben sandwich was very minimal and quesadilla was ok. Very disappointing since we don't get a chance to eat out often. No one even said good bye or hope to see you soon. Ozy's could take some training from John Tafford( Bar Rescue) on how to be great waitstaff. read more

My wife and I stopped by for lunch as we were here about a year ago when it was under a different owner. This time will be our LAST time. We were served water and placed out sandwich orders only to wait 45 minutes and a litany of excuses as to why our order was not ready. Our waiter refilled on water glass and said they were "short handed". If this was true, they should let people know when the arrive for lunch, that their order won't arrive until closer to dinner time. Great place to kill an afternoon if you have nothing better to do... but not for us. We left a couple of bucks on the table for the water but their management needs some better help to staff this place. What a waste. read more

Ordered the Caesar Salad and it was far from it. The Dressing tasted awful. The overwhelming taste of vinegar instead of anything else turned me right off. I ate the grilled chicken and the little pieces of cheese. I had asked for extra cheese but that was nowhere to be found. They only had ONE SERVER for the whole dinning room which was busy. She was good and did her best but we kept having to wave her down. Not good. Overall atmosphere was good. I did not pick this place and would not return. read more

A dark (all black ceiling, walls) bar. Lack of service drove us to leave. Bartender yelling at us, asking why we're leaving when it was evident after waiting almost 15 minutes without service.... she stated "hey I'm only one person"..... If you want to be fleeced out of your hard earned money you will love this place. They advertise that they have 60 beers on tap, Awesome. If you want to taste some to get an idea if you will like it before spending $12 or more on a beer, you will have to pay for them if you want to taste more than 2 half oz tastes. That is ridiculous! As for the service; We walked in and were told first thing that there was a 1 hour wait if we wanted any food, there were several customers in there but less than 25% full. we ordered and were waiting, some people who came in long after us ordered food and received it in roughly 5 to 10 minutes. read more

The place is under new owners. They invested in new decor, up graded staff, new menu and was very clean. The tap wall was 90% full with a good selection. The restrooms were spotless and we were there at 8pm. Big improvement over The Tap House. read more

A real gem in the Wellen park area. A terrific restaurant with a small hometown feel. The food is excellent and the staff is incredible. Tried it first time Sunday. Burger and fries were very good. However, when I received my bill I found that there were no free refills on iced tea. $4.00 for each tea. If that was stated on the menu, I missed it. Since free refills are pretty much standard, I would recommend servers point that out to customers. read more

Just left Ozy's. Have been going to the location in Wellen Park for years. I realize it now has new owers - it has changed ownership a few times. We have gone often since it became Ozy's. Tonight will be our last time. Madison our server was fabulous - so friendly. This review has nothing to do with her. We ordered wings to share with 2 different sauces. We were told we could do that. We got our order & one sauce was all flats the other all drums. Unfortunately we each wanted a mix of flats & drums. We asked why they weren't mixed - were told they should have been & that it just happened. Doesn't the chef see the wings before tossing them in the sauce? Why would they not mix them up if we did not request all flats or drums (which they charge $0.25 per wing). Asked if we could get a couple drums in the sauce that was all flats. The mgr (I think) told us we would have to pay extra for them to correct the order. She then told me to put the wing that was on my plate (which I took a bite out of) on the larger serving plate. She whisked the wings off & walked away. Very disappointed in the customer service there. Will not be back!! To add to the wings debacle, they were out of 15 beers. We were told they only replace the empty taps when all the kegs have been delivered. Who does that & stays in business. read more
