I'd give 3 stars to food and 4 stars to service and overall good vibes! The food was good, honestly nothing wrong with it, just nothing special at all. I did love having walleye though - its not every day you run across that on menus down here in Florida. It was grilled really nice and the side of zucchini and yellow squash was nice too. The cilantro rice was meh; I think something more unique would have gone a long way with this dish. My friend and I sat outside and I loved the outdoor area and being by the water. Our table felt 'cozy' with the little tiki hut roof over it, and our server was on top of things. We hung out for a long time and we were not rushed out or anything. Miserable hostess this weekend asked outright if we wouldn't mind sitting at a low table for outdoor dining. However, we then noticed that there were plenty of tiki tables that would have been available for us and that every subsequent customer that was seated she escorted to those available tiki tables. It was only after filling those tiki tables that she started seating people in the low tables in our area. Peculiar to say the least. The nachos were stale. Drinks were good. That's about it. Four of us stopped on a Saturday around 3 and there was an hour wait for a table. We got a drink at the walk up line and then found some seats at the bar. The atmosphere was fun and I wished there wasn't an hour wait as the seating looked great. The bartender was not the nicest guy, but we managed. The atmosphere is really a great start to this experience. Individual tiki hut tables outdoor on a canal. They even have a two manatee viewing docks. The service was good, waiter was friendly and busy with his tables scattered across the restaurant. He handled rather well. The food was pretty darn good. We all had burgers. Some had fries as a side, I had the hush puppies. Hush puppies were very tasty. The burgers were very good and cooked to order. Good value, meaty and likely formed from fresh meat. They were that good on brouche bun. The fries were a bit disappointing, fresh cut I believe. They were not real warm and a bit soggy. However, everyone ate them. Good flavor. Yes, I would definitely recommend. Maybe next time we will try the fish which looked good at other tables. So beautiful atmosphere, good food, not expensive. Oh, my bloody was very good too. This is a Tiki bar on the water at a marina. Seemed to be a locals sort of place with a great beverage program... but the food was... bar food, nothing more. I had the daily catch fish special which was mahi. It was overcooked & dry even with tartar sauce. It was served on a burger bun - but the piece of fish was narrow & long. It did not come close to fitting the bun. Even blackened, there was not much flavor. My partner had the shrimp po boy which had 7 fried shrimp on the roll. It tasted good. There were pickles on the sandwich that tasted like I was drinking a shot of vinegar. It was a sit down place but casual and not too expensive. Service started slow as we were seated and not acknowledged or even offered water for 14 minutes. read more

I believe the espresso martini in a little plastic cup was $22 besides being a small drink and pricey the hamburger was a frozen patty which I could not finish because of the grizzly white fat in it. There was a truck outside that was a refrigerator truck so they were using all frozen food so nothing's really made their fresh, maybe salads of course, but they are charging maximum price. The service from Justin was very good, prompt & courteous. One of us had the Cobb salad, and it was very good with plenty of what should be in there along with a perfect slice of avocado. However, two of us had the grouper sandwich and both were disappointing. They were too greasy for "hand holding", the bread did not seem fresh and was not a good taste or texture, and the fries were cold and limp. I suggest offering other types of bread (but definitely same day fresh), and cooking fries to order. The total bill was $90 before tip (no booze), so not exactly cheap. We tried this restaurant when it was under a different name and it was not good, so we never went back. We decided to give it another shot under new ownership. The menu is very limited and small and expensive. My husband ordered a draft beer that flat and warm. He told the server who did not even take this off our bill. He then switched to bottled beer. BTW, a soda cost as much as a draft beer - $4.00 which is outrageous as it is served in a small plastic cup. I ordered catch of the day which was snapper and I ordered my fries crispy. My food was OK; portion was small and my fries were not crispy by any means. The tartar sauce was runny as well and this cost $23.00. My husband ordered shrimp and chips which also cost $23.00. He was served 10 medium-sized deep fried shrimp which he sent back as they were not fully cooked. The food is way over-priced, especially since we are given plastic silverware and plastic cups. We will not be going back! We will stick with Anna Maria Oyster Bar from now on! read more

This was my first time visiting this establishment. My wife almost didn't let us go there. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior and tiki tables outside. And while I only had a club sandwich it was done perfectly. You would also be surprised at how some restaurants can even screw up French fries. These were perfectly cooked and nice and hot. I had a Rum Runner and it too was perfect. Enjoying a beautiful afternoon on the water with my wife couldn't have been better. A enormous transformation has turned this mediocre spot into a most pleasurable dining experience. Under new management for the past four years this spot is now a riverside oasis serving a variety of seafood dishes. Totally remodeled inside with upscale seating and a nice water view as well as a tiki hut and outside dining also with a view of the myakka river on its journey to the Gulf. The outside dining area hugs the river bank with mostly high top tables protected from the rain and sun by huge umbrellas that form a rooflke protection, unseen fans push air throughout the dining area making it extremely comfortable even on the hottest Florida day. A small tiki like bar supports the outdoor area serving a myriad of traditional as well as Fu Fu beverages. The food was upscale and prepared perfectly. We ordered Margaritas and skipped appetizers. I ordered the Avacardo shrimp ceviche and my wife had Fish tacos both meals left both of us talking about how good they were for the rest of the day. Can't say enough about this spot and highly recommend it for your dining pleasure. It is Military friendly as well. read more

The food was nothing to write home about. We asked for our American Burger, medium and definitely more on the rare side. The Nachos did not have enough layered cheese. The service was dreadful. Our waitress was nowhere to be found come time for the check. We had wait at the hostess check in area for at least 20 minutes so someone could find her. This is a complete makeover of what was here several years ago while operating under former ownership and name. It's all bright and fresh, and the food is very good, as is the service. We prefer the inside dining area, but many others prefer the tables along the Myakka River or an adjoining area with tables & umbrellas near the live music venue. And others enjoy the outdoor bar area, still within earshot of the music and festivities. This is very busy during "season" when all the snowbirds are here, so we save our visits until they've gone back North for the summer. read more

The food here was really good. We had the snapper entree, wings, Florida salad and molten lava cake. Food was fresh and fast. Service was very good. The customer service during our visit was actually very good, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, after eating here, everyone in our group became ill, which was extremely concerning. The next day, I called the restaurant to kindly inform them of what happened. I hesitated to leave a review because I understand how damaging they can be to a business and genuinely just wanted to make them aware. I spoke with a manager who I believe was named Stephanie. She apologized and seemed sincere, and the conversation was respectful on both sides. I was told I would receive a call back after she spoke with the kitchen manager. It has now been three days, and I have not received any follow-up or acknowledgment. While I appreciated the initial apology, the lack of communication afterward is disappointing. Summer 2025, we arrived about 5 pm on a week day. There were some customers dining outside, but it was not busy. Firstly, the food was very good, nice presentation and served hot! Now for how we were treated: We were seated by a host but waited at our table in the dining room for 20-30 minutes before our drink order was taken & then another long gap before someone took our order. We waited another 20-30 min to get our bill, which we paid right then. Turns out, the waitress who served us did so bc she felt sorry for us as it was not her table. Kudos to her. From what I was told by my server Teresa it's under new ownership from the last three years. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. July 31 2023 - 9 for late lunch - 2 pm arrival (after memorial service for a 30 plus year Mineral Springs resident) Off season, fairly empty after lunch time and before dinner/cocktail hour. We got a big table. Still undergoing some POST IAN renovation with interior walls and other items still in progress. This place got SLAMMED as my MIL is down the street on the other side of the Myakka River. This place IS the NORTH PORT of North Port!!! I have never eaten here in all the times I have been down and living in Osprey and coming to North Port over 100 times in the last 2 years. Service was fantastic, kitchen and wait staff got all beverages and food out promptly and meals were served en masse and together.....great job. Just a few diners but it doesn't matter we were treated like kings and queens. Drink selection and beer types were plentiful and not too $$ The entire table almost all ordered different items I will highlight just my 4. Baja Fish Tacos with rice & beans. tasty, well cooked, good product. Beans and rice were firm and fresh and not mushy. Daughter said tortilla was a bit soggy on the bottom and split open when picked up. too wet. 7/10 Coconut shrimp and grilled vegetables side. These were very nice fresh shrimp, well cleaned and properly cooked and spiced. The vegetables were fresh and firm. A very nice job. My wife was pleased. 8/10 Blackened fish of the day (forget the fish) w/fries. My son said this was AWESOME and he really enjoyed the fresh fish. Sometimes left unsaid but the fries here are cooked in some clean and fresh oil and golden tan, slightly crisp and hot. You can tell by the pictures a clean kitchen and if you are gonna have fried fish, or fries, or onions this place disposes of the old and dirty oil regularly. 9/10 OK, so the vegan/WFPB eater was not expecting anything except wedge lettuce and some vegetables but low and behold there are TWO vegan items on the menu front and center!!!!! (its the same impossible burger patty on either) but one is a wrap and the other is a burger. I went with the wrap. I was pleasantly surprised how good this was. A great hand-wich, with the fries as noted it was a great fairly low-calorie lunch. 9/10 We have months of work to do in North Port as still repairing from IAN ourselves.....I think a future stop into the Tarpon Point Grill is in order. read more
