I needed simply to swap out 9x12 carpet from below the piano, which my chihuahua had interpreted as a gigantic pee pad. These guys were excellent in working together, strapping the piano, removing a leg, and lifting if into a dolly on it's side. They helped with the carpet replacement (so Unnecessary - I could have done it !) and placed piano back in place. I had been wanting to get a piano for my son because he'd been showing interest. With pianos being so expensive I didn't know what to do. I was on my lunch break over by Rancho Paola Verdes and I seen a truck that said they had used pianos for sale. So I called and the secretary who answered was SUCH A SWEETHEART and very professional. Her name is Nicole and that's where this wonderful experience started!!! I gave her my budget and she set up a day and time where I was able to go look at some options. She was so wonderful and we were able to find a piano in my budget. We got a scheduled delivery right then and there that was very flexible with my schedule. On delivery day we got a call from Nicole in the front office with a two hour window for delivery and they also called thirty minutes prior to arrival which was amazing cause it gave me time to put my dogs away. Roy and Jessse showed on time with the upmost respect and handled EVERYTHING!!! When I say everything I mean everything. They moved the furniture for me, played with my son and made sure everything was set up perfectly and that the furniture they moved was where I wanted it. I sold my upright piano and the buyers hired these guys to move it out of my place. They did a great job. Communication was great. They called me the morning of with a 2-hour window. When they arrived, it was on the earlier end of the window, and they followed all my directions and were patient getting into my building's parking area (my building is a bit of a maze and the callbox/gate doesn't always work well). The guy with the impressive beard was super friendly, and he and a second person easily moved the piano out. They're obviously experts at it. YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017 - PART 2: 35/100 It was almost impossible to believe the quote they gave me - impossible enough to sorta think there's gotta be a catch. I needed to move an upright piano from one house to another. P & O caught my eye because of the (near) perfect rating they had with many fellow Yelpers. So, I sent in the paperwork to request for a quote. The houses were only 3 miles apart, a couple of steps here and there. Nicole was quick to respond and was quoted "$106. TOTAL." What?! (No, seriously... WHAT?!) Before I got their response, one other company quoted me $160 + $6/step. Another quoted me $275 + $7/step + possible additional fees. I had to go with P & O! And I completely understand why they've been rated so well. Roy and crew were SOOOO good. They really are spectacular at what they do. I watched them carefully from the moment they took the piano out of one house to the moment they moved it in the other. They communicated with each other the entire time. They took real care of moving that highly-sensitive (not to mention HEAVY) instrument. And they did it with such ease and efficiency. (The whole job was done in less than 30 minutes.) They even asked if they needed to make adjustments before they left to ensure it was positioned exactly where I wanted it. Did I mention they were friendly and funny? Even my dog took a liking to Roy - only took a couple of minutes for them to bond! Flash Boy really liked him! OH! Mention YELP and you get an additional 10% off. Like they weren't affordable enough, they even have this additional discount! I seriously feel like I underpaid them... They were excellent. They were perfect. This was truly a yelp win. I searched yelp for piano movers called the top two places. I went with P&O movers and I'm so glad I did. 100% I made the right choice. The other reviews were spot on. From first contact with the company, this experience has been wonderful. Nicole was so friendly and helpful even when I had to call multiple times to coordinate a "three-house-move". My parents have a grand piano that I needed to move to my house. I had an upright that needed to go to its new home. And my parents needed help moving an upright piano they had from one room to another in their house. Everything went seamlessly. Nicole coordinated the whole thing for us and everything went as clockwork. That is until the grand came to my house! I cannot stress enough that if Roy and his partner were not the delivering team, I would never have had my grand piano delivered successful to its new place in my house. I have a split level home and obviously I needed the grand placed in the most difficult and inconvenient place in my house, the downstairs living room. I measured the space and was so happy that I had room for the 6'3 piano. What I didn't take into acct was the space between my steps and the overhang from the upper level. The piano with the board with the padding was about 63 inches. I only had 62 inches so there was not enough space for it to go through without causing damage to my home. At this point I was practically in tears. Roy and his partner went above and beyond. They took the lid off of the grand and we're able to move it with millimeters to spare! I actually cried in relief. To make a difficult delivery even more difficult, my husband wrote the wrong payment amount on the check and PO movers were able to work with us on that. So yes, I would recommend P&O movers to anyone all day every day. read more
