I thought I'd leave a review today because of how impressed I was with his work after this months piano tuning visit. His trouble-shooting was spot on. We had a few drops of wax from candles we burned atop the piano over the holidays. He was able to hear the faint change in sound where the key felt had been damaged by the wax. It was nearly imperceptible to the eye until he dug deeper and found the drops of wax. He repaired all damages and completed the tuning. I was so relieved, but when I got the bill I felt like I was underpaying him for the work. I recommend him to anyone who asks. He truly is a piano whisperer.

I wasn't sure how to get a huge sectional that I purchased from a person who lives 20 miles away, back to my place.....so I got online and called a few companies. When I spoke with the owner of '2 Guys & a Truck' on the phone, I knew I had my guys.....and my first impression of this company was spot on! They showed up on time, after I changed the time on them twice, and they brought it to my house and delivered it and it was in the exact same shape as it was when they picked it up. They also carefully got it upstairs and actually set it up in a couple of different ways for my wife. My wife told me that she would not try to move anything again without '2 Guys & a Truck', because she was so impressed with the job they did, but even more impressed with how nice and considerate they were. I have never written a review on Yelp, but I wanted everyone to know that if you need to move an item or two and you think it is too expensive, it's not, it will be a great investment into the long-term care of your items. Great company ! I used them to move from pasadena to santa monica and they schedule me for january 2nd 2014 they made it look very easy. They check on me the day before just to make sure everything was going as plan,they have a great crew of movers,they movers took care of my stuff,no missing items and nothing broken or damage they even manage to move my curio and my piano extremely careful with my beloved piano.The lead guy's name was George and he was very polite and very knowledgeable, he knew exactly what he was doing and instruct his crew of what was needed be done. I was extremely happy with my service and highly recommend this company.They were also very well price. I was very surprise that this movers were very people like and very honest, it was brief of relief compare to other companies I used on the past. Oh my god this guys are great. I hire a different moving company for may 31,they call me a day before to confirmed,when the day of the move came the moving company didn't show up,I try calling them didn't answer the phone oh my god! That when I call 2 GUYS + TRUCK MOVERS the guy that answer the phone was very polite and very professional I wasn't sure if they can do it because it was the last day of the month buy they put me on the schedule the same day which I was very surprise,the guys that came within 2 hours where very professional and actually cared about making the moving experience as easy as possible. So happy that we hired J&A Piano Movers to move our monster of an upright piano into our new home. We were living on the second floor of an old 1930s-built apartment building and George and his team expertly handled getting the piano down the tight corners of the staircase. Once they got it to our new place, they were faced with more tight corners and some narrow doorways to get the piano into the room where we wanted it. It took them quite a few tries and orientations to get the piano through but they didn't give up and magically managed to get it in there without damaging anything and we can't thank them enough. J&A offered us a competitive price, they were professional, punctual and they worked surprisingly quickly, which was awesome. So if we ever have to move the piano again, they'll be the only movers we'll call. read more

We needed someone to move an 800lb upright player piano out of the home and onto the driveway for easy access. I made a few calls to other movers and got iffy responses. Happened to see J&A ad in Craigslist and called them on a Friday about moving the piano the following week. George gave me a quote and said to call back a day or two before the move. I called Monday and set up the appointment. They texted me the day before pick up. Let me know when they were on the way. Showed up on time. Were very communicative! They moved the piano carefully. The guys over at J&A were great! I had ordered a 500+ lb. Safe from Turners and their company wasn't able to deliver it in time. That's when I found J&A who were awesome, affordable, and professional. I used them the first time in October 2025 and was so impressed when they moved a 7' grand piano from a church stage to my home. I was at the pickup and delivery, so I saw the whole process! Alex and dad were so efficient. They explained the process and all worries disappeared. They made what looked impossible, possible. The church stage had about 4 stairs and narrow aisles, but it worked! They also "installed" the piano on the spider dolly that the piano was originally on. I used them recently in February 2026 and they moved a player baby grand piano (usually heavier, so needed 3 people for safety), from the second floor of a home (about 18 stairs) and to my home again. The homeowner kept saying they are not responsible if someone gets hurt. I saw the video of the piano being taken down... amazing! I will do minor maintenance and then call them again to move the player piano from my home to the backyard ADU when the ADU finishes! They are strong, knowledgeable, FAST, efficient. These people are so quick. You will be impressed. They are very delicate with the instruments. They have their own trailer and piano transport. Your piano will be safely housed and fully enclosed. I HIGHLY recommend them and will continue to use them! They are the best of all movers I found! Plus, they have good prices compared to others. Again, they're fully insured!
