We called Ray's about our AC, and on the first visit the technician noted the refrigerant was low…read more I'd also asked them to look at a fan switch issue, but that didn't get addressed during that visit -- I had to call back to make sure both the fan switch and the low refrigerant actually got handled, which happened on a second visit when they added R-22. Within 24 hours, the system iced up badly. They came back a third time, but instead of tracking down why it had iced up again right after being refilled, the technician spent a couple hours cleaning the coils and defrosting the unit -- never mentioning that the fresh refrigerant likely wasn't holding due to a leak -- and left us with a "let's see how it goes and see if it gets to temp." To be fair, the person who came out to quote us on a full replacement was great, and Ray's has generally been responsive whenever we've called. But after this particular repair experience, we won't be using them for the replacement unit or again for service work.
