Needed a small tv fast. Ordered online and very fast delivery. Except I couldn't choose the delivery window and I emailed explaining I couldn't take delivery before 9am....the delivery service missed the message and I had to reschedule. But I needed it that day to get installed. So I went in person and met Ben who was so apologetic. He had it in an open carton and gave an enormous discount for that on top of what was already a great on-sale price. I picked up the mount and TV and was so grateful. My installer next day said the screws were too short. I again went in, Ben was great, gave me an upgraded wall mount, again at no additional cost. He was so apologetic. I am so impressed. Customer service is dead in so many places but I would go to this store forever based on my interactions now with two of the kindest, best salespeople I've met in decades of buying air conditioners & TVs. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with PC Richard & Son regarding a brand-new air conditioner that I purchased in August 2025 for approximately $1,500, along with professional installation and an 8-year service plan. I purchased in the Yonkers, NY in Central Avenue location. Because I purchased the unit at the end of the summer season, it received very little use in 2025. When the first major heatwaves arrived this year, the unit stopped cooling properly. Since the unit was still under warranty and I had also paid for extended service coverage, I contacted PC Richard for assistance. The first service technician told me the unit had been installed incorrectly because a rear grille had not been installed. He informed me that if I did not have the grille, I would have to pay $233 for a replacement. Fortunately, I had saved the grille because the original installer had told me it was unnecessary since there was already a grille from the previous unit. I showed the technician that I had the grille and asked him to install it. He refused, stating that the installer would need to do it. So I had to schedule another visit. The installer then came to my apartment, installed the grille, and left. When I turned the unit on during another hot day, it still did not work properly. With temperatures reaching 86 degrees in my apartment, I had to call for service again. During the next service visit, the technician informed me that the unit was STILL installed incorrectly. When I asked what was wrong, he explained that the installer had added the new grille but failed to remove the old grille from the previous unit. I asked how I was supposed to know that. His response was that the installer should have known. I then asked him to correct the problem. Initially, he refused, stating that the installer should have done it. At that point, after multiple appointments, conflicting explanations, and sitting in an uncomfortably hot apartment with a brand-new air conditioner that still did not work, I firmly expressed my frustration and insisted that someone take responsibility for fixing the issue instead of continuing to argue about whose job it was. Only then did the technician remove the old grille himself. The result? The air conditioner immediately worked perfectly. What should have been a simple 10-minute fix turned into FOUR separate visits. As the customer, I paid for the air conditioner, I paid for professional installation, and I paid for 8 years of service because I am not an HVAC professional. Yet I found myself caught in the middle of what felt like a dispute between the installer and the repair technician. Each blamed the other. The installer called the repair technician lazy, and the repair technician called the installer lazy. Meanwhile, the only person suffering the consequences was me--the customer--sitting in an 86-degree apartment with a non-functioning air conditioner during a heatwave. In my opinion, the installer bears responsibility for failing to install the unit correctly from the beginning. However, the repair technician is equally responsible for refusing to correct an obvious installation problem until after multiple visits and significant frustration on my part. What shocked me most was the complete lack of customer service. No one seemed focused on solving the problem. Instead, there appeared to be more concern about determining who was right and who was wrong. I paid for installation. I paid for service. I paid for peace of mind. Instead, I received FOUR appointments, finger-pointing, excuses, and days of discomfort for a problem that ultimately took only minutes to correct. This experience has completely undermined my confidence in PC Richard & Son's installation and service departments. Customers should never be forced to referee disputes between employees while suffering the consequences of their mistakes. read more

WARNING: Do NOT order appliances from P.C. Richard. I ordered a new Frigidaire frenchdoor refrigerator and paid for delivery and for my previous fridge to be removed. The delivery people were rude and negligent and destroyed my new floors, my front door, my door casing/trim, the molding and the fridge itself. Just look at the photos. We had just spent a lot of money to remodel our new home and were excited to move in when this happened. What's worse, I put in a claim for damages with P.C. Richard and they DENIED my claim. They completely deny any liability and left me with almost FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in damages. I have never encountered such HORRIBLE customer service in my life and will never order from P.C. Do not have anything delivered from PC Richards. While i had a good sales experience in the store with Alejandro, everything went downhill from there. I bought a fairly expensive 55" TV. When the delivery men arrived, one of them asked to use by bathroom after commenting on how nice my house was. After he shut the door and left, i opened it only to find that he peed all over my bathroom floor. I've never felt so violated and disgusted in my life. And angry and upset, to say the least. This was a first for me. I called the store and someone answered with a very big attitude. A while later i got a call from the store manager who asked for a photo, which i sent. i was told he'd call me back but after waiting 3 hours i called him back instead. Since then, there were very meager attempts to rectify - offering of a few hundred dollars off of a purchase of about $1500. I was never told how this would be resolved and finally asked that the TV be removed from my home immediately. The price was lower at CostCo anyway so while i received ultimately no compensation for this demented, disgusting act, i'm happy to take my business elsewhere and would suggest others do the same. When walking into P.C. Richard &Son our primary goal was to purchase a new microwave. Within seconds we were greeted by an exemplary sales associate. Shipper who asked about the brand we liked, showed us the entire showcase if microwave ovens and realized that we wanted another Sharp. How fortunate that there was one left in stock and that he went the extra mile to get the product from the back. It's the first positive think that happened in quite a few days. Plus telling us about the warranty and it's positive qualities without using pressure tactics was amazing. I'm so disappointed! Had a really great experience for the last 12 years with about 15 appliances in multiple homes. However In the last couple of months both shopping experiences and service were very poor. 1. I received wrong information from CS re an appliance which was supposedly in warranty contract. This caused a lot of confusion and embarrassment when I was trying to return the item as advised by CS. 2. We ended up purchasing a replacement but when my son came to pick it up the next day, he was provided with the wrong item, despite having the invoice with him. we only realized the mistake after installing it, which caused additional time to be wasted to come into the store and adjust the purchased warranty. 3. Same day we also purchased a stove, which was delivered the following week damaged. We had to wait another week for this one to be picked up and a new one to be delivered. 4. The worst experience we had so far was a couple of weeks ago, after waiting for several months for a part to be approved and then received, we finally had a scheduled appointment. The service took place while I was at work while my mother was here and opened the door. I came back to find both my laundry room and adjacent boiler room were completely blocked with 10 boxes, and the old parts that were changed from my washing machine including the door and the floor were filthy. The blocked room has the coned meters and emergency shut valve for water as well as the boiler. I called to report this on Thursday @ about 4pm. The closest appointment they could find me was Monday. Of course we took care of this ourselves which was a huge hassle. I really couldn't believe that they left my home in such a condition. Huge disappointment especially in lieu of the almost perfect past purchasing and service experience. I hope they step it up and improve their processes and what is expected of them. read more

I purchased a refrigerator on 7/2/24 and still waiting for my delivery. I was told the latest it would be delivered was end of August. I call every month for an update and get a different story about when it will be delivered to the store. Worst experience I have ever had to get a new appliance. Last month I was told it would be in by today. I called and the person answering told me to call back tomorrow when my salesperson was in. Hopefully, tomorrow will not be another story about it will be in next month. All I hear is excuses after over 5 months. I wish I could give them 0 stars. They used to be great, but now they they are so unprofessional and arrogant. My fridge broke over a month ago, and they came out to fix. Didn't have part and waited over 2 weeks to get part. Part came in, and they replaced part. Left all garbage on the floor behind them, and 1 hour later, the fridge was broken again. Worse than before, said they were going to replace fridge. Called back after a few days, and they said they're not going to replace fridge they're going to fix it. They said multiple times that a supervisor would call back. I never got a call. They just left again now after coming with no parts to fix the fridge. I'll have to wait again, and who knows if they'll be able to fix it. Never buying anything from PC Richards again. They don't care about purchased warranties or customers. Went in for a new refrigerator for our volunteer ambulance Corp. was treated horribly spent over a hour. No discount & I asked to see the manager twice and the sales guy ignored my request. When I asked if he could do better on the price that we are a non profit organization and volunteers he replied with well we are in sales. I then told my friend let's go I'm going to Home Depot & bam went & got a great discount on a refrigerator. They were respectful and wonderful to deal with. We walked out with a brand new fridge 50% off in 30 minutes . I will never go to them for anything anymore, even personal shopping. read more

I would give it a negative rating if I could. This has been the most horrible retail experience ever!!! The salesman have superficial product knowledge so make sure you do your homework before you buy from them. They don't return phone calls or answer emails and on the rare occasion when they do, they lie about delivery dates. The managers are rude and dismissive when you ask questions. Dealing with them was worse that dealing with a used car salesman. It seems the only way to get deliveries from them is to scream into the phone and then you will miraculously get your item delivered. That is the only language they understand PC Richard used to be a great place to shop. Sadly that is no longer the case at the Yonkers location Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else. This is my 2nd time ordering appliances from them. No issues the 1st time in 2008. Now - different story. They damaged my fridge with 1st delivery, didn't install anything with 2nd delivery (weren't even going to plug it in until I asked), and had to come back a 3rd time to put the door handles on (which they should have done previously). I told them I was completely unsatisfied with the fridge and can I exchange it for a different one - they told me no. So apparently customer satisfaction isn't a priority. And now I'm having issues with the dishwasher purchased from them and they're sending out a technician for a 4th visit. I do not recommend and will never use them again. read more

Oh man.. where do I start with these guys. All was fine and dandy while I was making the purchase for a Samsung top load washer . My sales person was "Les" who even though he tried to act like he knew what he was talking about he really didn't. I had to google and search reviews on this washer because he just didn't know anything . However I purchased it and went on my way. So apparently "customer service " ends there because forward to delivery day today. I was given a 3 hour window between 2pm and 5pm. However the delivery guy calls me at 12 pm saying he's 30 min away.. what ? What is the point in the window ? I had to rush from where I was at to make it home to avoid that almighty "restocking fee " that will be imposed on me.. REGARDLESS of the driver coming early . I told the driver it was suppose to be 2-5 and he said "I'm just the driver " anyways I called P.C. Richards and spoke to "les " and he kindly told me "nothing we can do " I said hmmm ok .. anyways they deliver and "install" the washer ... however not fully. Because I'm not a laundry installation expert and didn't know the machine had to be leveled. I found this out after I tried to do a wash and the agitator was not spinning correctly. I call P.C. Richards and ask to speak to a manager to have someone return. He agrees that they should not have been there earlier . And would call me back to let me know when they can return. A hour or so later I receive a call from "Les" saying " hey just calling back to let you know our team is going back to your house to level your stove ".. so I ask ... to level my what ? "Les" responds : "your dryer ? ... your washer? " there was a brief silence ... then he got it ... WASHER !! ding ding ding ... he says they will come back this Sunday .(2 days) I asked him what time . He says " there is no time " so I ask him oh so I have to stay home all day Sunday to have something corrected that should have been corrected today ? He says " sorry there's nothing We can do " (again) I Gave Les , who is an older gentleman some advice.. I told him : one thing you never say to a customer that has been inconvenienced already " there's nothing we can do " it just sounds horrible and just adds to frustration. Hey Les ... there is something you could do .. like : be more apologetic, don't make me feel that once I swiped my card I was on my own.. customer service extends pass the transaction. Make me feel that you really valued my business .. you know ? Even if it's fabricated... lie to me .. don't make it Worst.. you know how I know he could care less ? He didn't even care to remember what item is actually in need of leveling. He was being generic ... he was being dismissive. I mean .. do you not know what you're going to say when you call these customers ? Do you even care ? Very rare you encounter a knowledgeable sales person at P.C. Richards.. and I'll be honest .. we went and continue to go because we have a card from there .. if not I wouldn't even bother.. so I'll dedicate my day sun for a resolution from P.C. Richards. I was spoke to a young salesman who didn't ask any questions about what my needs were and proceeded to go to the pc richards website to tell me which stoves were currently available when I told him i wasn't in a rush but wanted to see what they offered. Writing this review having just gotten off the phone with the FIFTH technician scheduled to come to fix a dishwasher that has needed a drain pump for almost a year. The first technician told me I would need to remove my flooring to repair the appliance and then schedule another appointment. I obliged. The second technician claimed he was never ordered parts and was sent for a diagnostic--despite this being in my notes when making the second appointment. The third technician was sent with a motor, not a drain pump, and informed me that I never should've removed my flooring-- that was a ridiculous request from the first technician. The fourth technician called out sick, and I was scheduled for the following day. The FIFTH just called me to inform me he does not have access to the van with the parts, and I will be rescheduled for Monday. I have not had a functional dishwasher in almost a year. I have spent $200 on diagnostic fees. I'm being asked to be patient with internal issues that have NOTHING to do with me as the customer. Will never be a customer again. read more

Stopped by today looking for some kitchen appliances. They have a very strong selection of refrigerators and ovens on the floor unlike many of their branches in the city. Interestingly, not so many dishwashers or microwaves. As for pricing, it's safe to say that all the listed prices are about 10-15% over what you can get at any other store like Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. They claim to match any price, so definitely do some research beforehand so you know what the market has to offer. That way you won't be ravaged by their salespeople and you can negotiate hard. I should also add that whether or not you are prepared, the staff are still complete vultures, maybe even worse than car salesmen. As soon as you walk in the door, you get 50 pairs of eyes on you as everyone and their brother tries to get close and show you something you don't need or want in order to make that commission. Or worse, when you do decide to engage one of them about specific items, they immediately try to pile on the add ons, like warranty extensions. We were checking out the GE Cafe line and the guy made a much bigger deal about the extended warranties than the details or prices of the appliances we were looking at. This is definitely a branch worth checking out, but be sure to do your homework and never buy something here on the spot. You will almost certainly be paying too much. read more

I held off on writing this review until after delivery, installation and haul away of the old appliances took place, to ensure it was truthful and factual in both the sales and delivery/installation aspects of the purchase. After a truly horrible experience trying to buy a Gas Range from Lowes in Yonkers and take delivery of it (read my Yelp review) and finding total indifference when visiting the appliance dept. at the Home Depot in Yonkers, I felt angry and not sure what to try next. A family member advised me to try PC Richards, and I stopped by their Yonkers location on Friday at 8pm, figuring that since they closed at 9pm, I would only be wasting an hour before having to come back the next day. I walked in and then met Keith Woods, whom I consider to be one of the most helpful sales people I have ever worked with. Within one hour, he located both a gas range and a dish washer that were in stock and which could be delivered on Sunday. His manager Oscar was equally helpful and they both did not rush me (even though the store closing time was approaching) and took the time to make sure I understood what I was purchasing. Keith went out of his way to make the shopping experience painless and even enjoyable. I left the store feeling hopeful for the first time in two weeks that things might turn out ok. Sunday morning rolled around and I had been advised that the delivery company would be calling me between 7am and 8am with delivery information. At 7:15 am, I got a call from the delivery truck, telling me they were 30 minutes away. They arrived on time, expertly remove my old appliances, gave me time to clean up the dust and debris that had been trapped behind the old appliances and then slowly and carefully installed the new appliances. They tested both the gas range and dishwasher before they left and all in all, took about 90 minutes for the entire removal and installation process. So let's recap: - Sales: Fantastic experience - Logistics: Fantastic experience - Installation: Fantastic experience I'm seeing a trend here.... If you read my Yelp reviews, you will see that I rate restaurants, merchants and tradesmen fairly and accurately. I have purchased all of kitchen from pc richards. My stove, microwave, and fridge. I have also purchased all of my televisions, sound bar, stand up dehumidifier and air conditioners. I have spent 1,000s of dollars in here in the last two years. Recently in the beginning of the summer we purchased a Weber grill from a man named Keith woods. When helping us he was not just taking care he was taking care of multiple family's. Was all over the place . We paid to get the bbq delivered and set up. When the men were setting it up we noticed the top of the Weber bbq had a scratch and a dent. We immediately contacted Keith . He said he would "help". To this day he still has not gotten back to us or has done anything to help. My husband and I made frequent purchases and I will make sure this man never sells anything to us again . First level support is very polite, and they answer the phone in a reasonable time, but they lack authority to do ANYTHING. All requests slide into a black-hole with zero follow-up. I can only assume this is intentional on the part of PCR. PCR also tried multiple times to shirk their responsibility, and have me call GE to get answers to my questions and resolve a issues. I cant imagine if I reported my issue after a day / week vs 30 minutes after the installers left my house! My fridge came with a dent in the door, but I needed one desperately, so I let them install. I called PCR when the installers left my house. First they told me I NEEDED TO CALL GE to order a new door! I actually tried, but there was no way to do without paying out of pocket. After 3 more calls over 2 days, PCR agreed to order the part. 1 week, 7 calls, and 2 emails later, NOTHING. I finally spoke with someone who said it might be better to replace the entire refrigerator. I said fine. 1 week, 7 calls, and 4 emails later, NOTHING. I finally spoke with a supervisor, who said they'd approved a new fridge for delivery. PCR then invoiced me an additional $103, which I was verbally told to ignore. I didn't want COD issues with the installers (PCR's texts say a credit card is required at time of delivery), so I requested an email to that affect. 4 days, 4 emails, and 4 calls later, NOTHING. I finally spoke with another supervisor who told me the person I'd spoken with earlier in the week was "having email issues"! Hmm - were they also having phone issues? Broken fingers? This supervisor did send an email saying I wasn't responsible for the $103. Over 2 weeks after first reporting the issue, PCR delivered a new fridge. I even got them to finally agree just to replace the door, which is what they should have done from day 1. PCR ultimately also processed a $100 credit to my account for all the anguish. I appreciate the gesture, but this doesn't even move the needle - at an hourly rate, this probably comes to $5 / hour. Costco had the fridge for less money with a better warranty, but I bought from PCR, mistakenly thinking it would be better if I had an issue. Needless to say, I will never purchase anything from PCR again. Lowes, and Home Depot also had the same model - who knows if things would be better with them. It's unfortunate that PCR turned what would have been a positive experience into an incredibly poor one. IMO, either PCR is incredibly disorganized with poor internal systems and no internal controls, or they're intentionally trying to rip off their customers. Sad! read more

We got as far as the front door and were met by a very fast talking man who took us to the microwave ovens. He did not listen well to our questions (frustrating), was talking to other people at the same time (very frustrating), and then in less than five minutes, disappeared (seriously?!). I found him back at the front door, waiting for what? Someone to be spending more money than us (he didn't give us time to tell him about the washer/dryer we also needed)? We finally got the price out of him and when I asked if they match prices, he said he needed an advertised price. I said I only had a handwritten price on the printout, and showed him, he said no. For ten dollars and the easiest sale he could have all day, he blew it. We walked out. He could care less. Pity. read more

I came to purchase a Smart TV. I was a guaranteed sale. I waited nearly 20 minutes for an employee to acknowledge my existence- they seemed to be able to see men who were in the vicinity. While I waited, I watched 2 employees sit down in nearby recliners and begin occupying themselves with their mobile phones. I finally asked one for assistance (angrily). I pointed at the one I wanted and he told me it wasn't in Stock but offered me a model half the size I had requested. So I was ignored for 20 minutes to find out that products aren't in stock and they insulted me by suggesting something that was in no way comparable to what I wanted. I walked out and spent my $600 at Best Buy. Seriously PC Richards, women buy electronics. If you ignore and belittle us, you will lose a lot of potential sales. Either hire some women or teach the men not to be sexist. read more

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and purchased a washer and dryer. Bought everything they suggested, it was nickel and dimes at it's worst. They charged us for everything after the sale. We had no time to run around and shop. We needed delivery on Wednesday, No problem they said....12-4. We paid someone to hang for 4 hours. No call from them even after we called repeatedly.....finally I got Marvin on the phone......more empty promises. I told him to cancel my order and I will pay more to have good service!!! He promised it would be here at 5:00pm. I raced home from Long Island to meet them here......it's now 6:45 pm and still no delivery. PAY MORE FOR BETTER SERVICE SOMEWHERE ELSE It's 7:15 and nothing!! There TRACKER SERVICE is complete garbage!! Zero communication between drivers, distribution and the tracker service/customer service Lesson learned!!! read more

Fourth of July weekend and my over anxious husband decided this was a good day to go refrigerator shopping. I was not looking forward to this trip but the store was outfitted with plenty of delightful and knowledgeable sales people. Craig W helped us and we were in and out in less than 1/2 hour after having efficiently compared several models, complete with making a purchase. This store has made appliance shopping enjoyable. We will be back for future purchases. read more
